I decided to put leveling coil springs on my 2012 Ram 1500 2WD. Afterwards I took it to my local mechanic and they said I needed new lower control arms, and tie rod ends for both sides of the front. They quoted me over $1900 to get the job done. I paid a little under $700 for both lower control arms, both upper control arms, tie rod ends for both sides and sway bar links for both sides. All it took was a weekend and some elbow grease to get the job done! Working on your own vehicle can’t save you thousands over the life of the car!!

dude great job, its always better doing it yourself. I don't trust shops because everytime I go to one there is always something else wrong with my truck.

Yeah it seems that way. Unfortunately they’re just trying to make a quick buck. I’m blessed to have the knowledge and skill to work on my own vehicles. I avoid shops as much as possible

The ball joint always goes first. Aftermarket needs to add grease fittings to those lower control arms. Just replace my uppers and lowers.
