Keep the videos coming , very informative approach . Have had long sessions with little reward over the years , you will be back on the fish eventually .
Thanks Robert Sessions like this are hard and sometimes frustrating but it’s important to show potential new people wanting to join the sport how it can not go to plan sometimes and to just keep trying and not be put off :)
We’ve all had sessions like that. You get home thinking that was a waste of time. Get in a hot bath. Clean yourself up. Then whilst laying there start looking forward to the next session 🤣🤣
Sure do mate it’s hard work sometimes and does make you wonder why sometimes but just that one decent fish from a month before Is enough to to keep you going on and on and on searching for that big one :)
Enjoyed the video and it is true what you said as I keep saying to people it’s relaxing and there is a reason it is called fishing you would get fed up if you caught every time and then the name would have to be change to catch tight lines keep it up. I am in Scotland and doing winter fishing this year for the first time in my life am not saying how old I am but older than you lol
Hi Liz huge thanks for your comment your right it’s not all about catching more of the experience and relaxing / de stressing catching is always a bonus ! Oh fantastic where abouts in Scotland are you fishing I would love to go myself :)
Wind knots can be a pain with braid, but I will not change back to mono, as the benefits outway the knots, that's me, other people have different opinions. I always have a spare spool with braid, quick change over and you're fishing again.
This is true I found out that my issues were down to a missing washer on the reel spindle causing it to not oscelate all the way down the spool causing bunching on the top of the reel leading to too much line comming out !
Never mind...there's always next time! And not knowing whether you're going to catch and, if so, what, is all part of the fun even if your fingers are near to dropping off because of the cold!. Cheers. Ken
We watch in anticipation and probably forget that you have been trying to catch fish for 6-8 hours which you condense into 12 minutes for our entertainment. Ok not the most successful night, but having followed you since you started out I see more determination to get back out there and never give up. They are still great videos so good luck and lets hope the next time the Rays, Bass and Conger are right in front of you.
I think you have probably chosen the hardest branch of any type of fishing. Very little reward for the hours you put in,and any reward is pretty poor. However I wish you luck and enjoy your videos.
Thanks Dave sometimes it sure is hard the sea is a big place ! Fishing is fishing catching is a bonus for me it’s also about getting some down time to chill and reflect on the week gone past ect it’s also time out from a busy life ! But we will keep on trucking !!!! Cheers for watching
That's why it's called fishing and not catching do you write down tides and whether water temp do that for a couple of years you will see patterns. Do that for me you will thank later

Could you see the fluorescent tip in the dark?
Tbh i use the mighty bright tip tape
However if you shine your head torch onto the top it glows
Best way is to use a uv light to charge it up properly
loads of good info as usual jason keep it up i would stick with mono mate braid is for scratching
Yeah think I’m going to keep on the mono for a while :) thanks for watching and commenting :)

Old cliche, but you can't catch what's not there !! Dust down, get ready for the next session.Best of luck.
You sure can’t
I was thinking of not releasing this video but it’s important to show people of you don’t succeed keep going
What line do you use
Hi Andrew currently I’m using 25lb yellow fireline with a asso tapered shock leader :)
