- So I managed to get a day session in and boy it didnt dissapoint!
Fishing my local hotspot Langney Point in Eastbourne we had a cracking days fishing. Targeting dabs with stinkey old lugworm.
But one type of fish turned up that i wasnt expecting so early on in the year!

plaice are being caught everywhere now ,, my mate had a nice one at seaford yesterday, wednesday 26th jan

We been getting some nice dabs up in the solway
It seems like quite a few dabs around at the moment.
Over the last week numbers have increased which is fab :)

I was fishing at Shoreham a couple of days ago and lots of plaice showing, also Brighton beach is paved with plaice right now so i'm guessing the warmer temperatures this year has got them coming in early maybe.
I think you may be right sea is v clear brighton way or was a few days ago, hopefully a good sign for some lovley plaice this year :)

I have akios rods mainly but i do have a gurella surf my opinions on it are in the tackle reviews part of the channel in playlists which i will be adding more to :)

There is parking on road but most of Eastbourne is promenade straight into shingle.
The pier top deck may be worth a look or Newhaven port car park offers parking where u can park and fish from your car over high tide

how much bait elastic does it take to kill a sea bird chick
Im not sure on this one tbh im guessing its far less of an impact than the millions of tons of micro plastics our friends in the west are dumping into the sea . If you find an answer please let me know. However fishermen and women have been using bait elastic for a very long time, if it was that much of a conserning issue im sure it would have been dealt with by the antis by now :) cheers for watching
