This place is amazing! The Expert wave is legit and is my favorite. If anyone wants to make Waco home, let me know. My wife and I help folks buy property and relocate to Central Texas! Made the move from Cali four years ago and glad that we did!
I just went and it was wild! When talking to intermediate surfers, I don’t think you can overstate the importance of position and angle for take off. I also found I had to wait for the wave a lot more than typical Florida wave (where I’m from).
Thank you for sharing this! Can you do a video further in depth of waco, explaining times to go in the day, crowds, reservations, cost etc? I wanna go there one day
Hi Noel, I am going to waco and curious on what is an good amount of hours to surf first time? I surf a couple times a week, I heard it is a grinder on legs! Planning on 1 hour first day and 2 hours back to back 2nd/3rd day.
I say 3 hours per day… I would go 2 hours back to back and then take a 1 hour break and do a 3rd session. It will take you at least 2 sessions to figure out the timing of the wave that’s why I say go back to back. I say two days and both days 3 sessions. On the second day you can spread out the sessions… take a break in between each session.
The CA Twin offers a bit more performance top to bottom. Seaside might carry a little more speed. For the pool I say CA Twin with my Pivot Twin + Trailer.
Hey noel. Im buying the hytpo krypto twin. Hadenshapes recomends the keel fins. Whats the difference between keels and upright twins. Pros and cons of each.
Keels will offer more drive and hold through big carves and bottom turns. The Up Right Twins offer more pivot to get into the lip quicker and offer tighter arcing turns. I highly recommend my HP Keeps for that sled…. They will still offer excellent pivot and release with all the drive and hold. Check them out here. surfnshow.com/products/surf-n-show-hp-keels-twin-fins
Hey!! I want to buy a daily shortboard but i have 3 that make me have doubts ( Rusty mi amigo , Sharpeye storm, DHD 3DV) which one do u think is better i dont know if they are similar
Looking between a happy everyday and a flat earth right now. Two very different boards for very different wave types I think. Any thoughts? Love your videos!!
Probably made for similar wave size 3-6’. The H Everyday will surf like a HPSB with more effortless speed. The FE offers quick pivot with good speed and drive from the Larger Twin side fins.
The Seaside isn’t ideal for the pool. It wants to surf more down the line… to fast for the pool. I say Rusty Twin Fin, BV2 with Twin + Trailer, Dominator 2, Fishbeard
@@reactionary17 thanks for the reply! I understand what you mean as I wakesurf a lot behind a boat in the summer time. For that I have a Lib Tech Air'N board that is 4'6" and 19.4L. I guess in the spirit of upping my game being far from the sea I was hoping to get a surfboard that could be used at the pool for a trip, also be fun behind the boat to have something with more of a surf feel than a short wakesurf and that I could hopefully also use on my next surf trip. I guess that may not be possible as for the pool and lake I may want something thinner and less buoyant that may be too small for me at the beach unless I get very surf fit with all the swimming I plan on doing. Any thoughts? Any boards that could be fun for the pool and lake? Any boards that could be fun for all 3?

Cohost was there on my trip. Surfs even better in person and was really helpful
Great breakdown and awesome surfing as always. Really interesting he went down 3 litters on his wave pool board.

That's great I just hope you didn't bring the wrong politics with you. That's the problem we have in Texas.

Awesome! As always! What’s your take on that Rusty twin? Have you put any time with it in the ocean?
Absolutely. Watch my review on it.

Thinking of getting a seaside or a cali twin based on your videos I’ve watched which do you prefer of these two boards?

Hey Noel , are these waves are the “experienced” level ? Because I saw on the website that u can book beginner , intermediate and experienced

How the Happy Everyday and Bobby quad PU will work in the pool ?
The Bobby Quad sounds ideal. I wouldn’t take the Happy Everyday
@@surfnshowreviews7777 really? For what reason ? Too small of a wave for it ?
@@RBNK157 If the board is longer it won’t fit in the tight transition very well.

You need something with a thinner rail to knife in more. Rode the wave a few times. Used a seaside once and tossed it aside quickly.

@@reactionary17 Seaside is NOT ideal for that wave. It doesn’t pivot very well and the Seaside loves to surf more down the line…. Not top to bottom.
