    I also was an avid rock climber but started to experience stuff since 2018. I did Dnrs briefly but couldn’t stick to it. Now, I’m doing a Christian-based brain retraining and I have been able to commit to this program for 3 months now. I can relate because I also got the cervical instability diagnoses and saw a chiro 2x a week for 3 yrs. I bought a device from Amazon called spineworx and another device that helps with neck traction and they have helped me so much. I haven’t needed to see my chiro in over a year!! Now, I’m just doing the brain train program and I’m so excited for the healing. I’m already experiencing it!

    Hey Rachael :) i am following you for a long time on your channel about carnivore :) I love your honesty and bravery.
    Can i ask you what helped you most? I know you like work with your nervous system (DNRS). You like carnivore (now at least partly carnivore) and cooperation with Dr Hutcheson is new for me.
    When my problem is neck related (headaches + brainfog + bad neck curve + many active trigger points) would you suggest DNRS or it is logicaly problem for Dr Hutcheson?
    Would you recommend prolotherapy even tho it is pretty expensive and you are on budget?
    Was Dr Hutcheson game changer for you?

    I've been having suboccipital headaches, neck pain, neck stiffness, migraines, vertigo, tinnitus, vasovagal syncope, intracranial pressure type symptoms, clicking/popping/cracking with movement, and a few other symptoms I'm sure I can't remember for the past 15 years! I've had many injection and ablation type of procedures over the years with minimal relief. Recently I discovered this thing called "upper cervical instability" and I have to say that for the first time since this started I see a possibility for resolution!
    I am currently setting up an appt with my neurologist in my area (PA) to try and get the ball rolling and get to the correct people who can diagnose and treat me. In my research of all this I came across your channel and have been inspired by your journey. Do you have any suggestions that might help me in this beginning stage of initiating the right care (specifically in my area)?

    I developed CCI from whiplash and, for me, the only effective long term solution seems to be physical therapy revolving around strengthening the neck muscles as well as a lot of the posterior chain (upper back/upper traps, rhomboids, lower traps, glutes, lower abdominals) that have sort of dominoed from my CCI. Hope this info is helpful to someone b/c I know how much havoc this can wreak on your whole body.

      Thank you for posting this. I started to have instability symptoms after injuring my neck. How long did it take you to see the results after doing PT? I thought of getting prolotherapy, but the needles make me nervous.

    • @doctorshutup9817
      @doctorshutup9817 3 місяці тому

      @@Mari-dl5wt Hello. Upon reflection, I don't believe I actually had CCI. My neck problems appear to have been caused by an old mattress which opened me up to an athletic injury in which I developed costochondritis that also came with a lot of neck pain. I bought a new mattress along with a backpod and have been seemingly improving. Best of luck.

    Just stating to watch this so I’ll delete if you cover this-
    I was wondering how you balances the physical realities of working on CCI and brain retraining and if you might consider covering that.
    For example there are certain things people with CCI “are not supposed to do”.. When doing Brian retraining do you think we should steadily and when we feel called-throwing some of those ideas out the window?
    Things like chiro, inverting the body, neck traction, high impact sports or anything that bounces the head on the body. I don’t have any call to avoid these things. To me avoiding them (apart from chiro) seems like it’s adding to a disability life/thinking.

  • @sea_hous
    @sea_hous 7 місяців тому

    Edited my comment.
    Didn’t realize till part way in the interviewee is a chiro. It’s confusing because many people in the CCI group say chiros made them worse.
    Anyhow curious what you think about brain retraining and the “don’t do that” list for CCI. 🦋

    Does age play a big part in stability and collagen building and retention? I believe to have instability resulting from previous fusions and activities like golfing. I have issues with turning left but not right for a couple of years now but this spring while golfing I went over some edge when golfing. I have tried chiropractic manipulation that made it worse. I am now seeing a chiropractor that uses an activator so no forceful turning, but it is making it worse again. I am 59 and it am hoping I can overcome this somehow. Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated..

    Are you sure you didn’t check yourself out for vestibular migraine or chronic fatigue? Many physios are telling me I have neck instability but I asked the neurologist and the gp doctor and both said no cause my mri neck scan was normal. I do have every symptoms you’ve listed. Even iih without pappledemia. Tremors. Vertigo. The list goes on. My neck clicks like crazy but I asked my neurologist if I have an unstable neck and he says no. My gp told me that thinking I have an unstable neck will just cause my symptoms to get worse. I’m on propranolol and Valium.
