This very car is my car now, it’s just turned 30000 miles this week, we bought it with 10k, it gives us no grief and the amount of spec it has compared to premium brands for the money is high, LED lights, heated screen, power boot, 4x4, nav, retractable towbar and loads more, no complaints from me, as for noisy engine like the man says, after 20k of driving it I’d personally say not and I drive it every day so I’m well equipped to judge on that one :-)

The 2015 Country Tourer I purchased to replace an Octavia written off in collision with a deer had 33k on the clock and cost me £9.4k, I have twice been surprised and delighted by its traction in tricky situations: 1.Icy conditions, super-tight steep uphill hairpin C class to B class road with major elevation and camber changes 2. 1 in 4 climb on uneven gravel track that has previously defeated FWD and RWD vehicles. It dealt with both without the slightest slip or hesitation. 45mpg or better achievable if light right foot used, 42 mpg routinely. Internal 'cubby' spaces far inferior to Skoda, ignore the 'Tour' mode ... robs car of any get-up-and-go it ever had, precise, direct and entirely numb steering. A comfortable, well-specced cruiser, enough power (163bhp) and decently screwed together ... but NOT a 'driver's car'.

So how much lower is the road tax than £800 it wasn't stated?

No longer available in the UK. Should have come with a petrol engine in the line up.

Reviewer Quote!....It's about a foot longer than the equivalent Skoda Octavia Scout emmm awkward seeing you are clearly pinning it against the wrong equivalent rival model car.....Which should be the VW Alltrack or Skoda Superb Tour de France or Outdoor....People that clearly do not know enough about cars CLEARLY should not be involved in reviewing them....And that's one of the top ranked guys at Parkers...VERY VERY questionable!

You’re making the mistake that there’s a clear and defined list of rivals - which there’s not. The list of rivals for a specific car is far broader than it used to be (hence why we compare estates and SUVs). Chris has quite rightly identified the Octavia Scout as a valid alternative.
