    Bought this exact model a few days ago & it is well worth the money spent. This unit blows leaves like wind. I only complaint is that I bought it so late. I swear I wasn't to find something to blow. Lol

    Love this blower, it’s amazing, so much power, wet leaves aren’t an issue at all anymore, it still blows a bigger amount of wet leaves like it’s nothing, it is a little heavier than the past 800, atleast to me, but the power behind this thing is a beautiful thing, haha, but it is a lot comfier than the older ones, and love the side pull cord, after it’s warmed up, you don’t have to take it off anymore to start it, I have long enough arms I never did with the older ones, but it’s definitely nice to have it where it’s at now. This blower is definitely worth the money, you will be very pleased with the power of this thing, makes quick work of blowing my yard

    Stihl make excellent blowers but always found the straps bit of an issue, almost bought one of these but opted for the Husqvarna 580 bts and don't regret it for a second! Stihl & Husqvarna make the best tools in my opinion and you won't go wrong with either!!

      I own the Husqvarna 580bts too. Great blower for sure. The Sthil BR 800X has more blowing force for sure. Like them both, Sthil wins IMO with less weight and the throttle is in line with the tube. I don't like how Husqvarna designed that at all. I think the 580bts model was updated on that. Both are a good choice.

    I got one of these. It gets used heavy duty daily commercial use. It's pretty good and reliable. Only issues i've found are that after about 12 months, you might have straps starting to fray and break. And also, when you have to warm start it, it can be difficult to start unless its put on 1/2 choke
    You also need to 'work' the pull cord to get the piston in the right position. So it will crank and start. Otherwise you can just keep pulling the cord forever and it'll never start
    Overall I would say its ok. I have also used the Shindaiwa EB770 and would rather shell out a bit extra for that, its much easier to start, more comfortable and more solid for daily commercial use

    I bought this exact Stihl model 1 year ago. Didnt touch the valve cover for any adjustments yet. Its a beast of a blower machine. Easy maintenance.
    One small non issue is the white air plastic turbine housing Torx fastener bolts were loose from all the use and vibrations. Blue Loctite them.
    E3.24 spark plug is my choice over the stock NGK CMR6H.
    Echo 50/50 mix. Runs much better for overall satisfaction.

      @@WesternEquipment just knowing the environment I was using the blower in (lot sweeping). The petroleum based asphalt was prematurely wearing everything out in the assembly. Surprisingly the 800x recoil as significantly lighter and the plus to me was having a regular starter, not the easy2start system. Eventually for regular lawn car I'll purchase another 800c but at the moment the 800c/x hybrid is perfect for me. Its bulletproof and much quieter for noise ordinance that echos 010 series would be mu h too loud for.

    I have a 450 electric start and would love the magnum but not sure I can live in without that great feature any more. So good when people cone to talk to me in site or when I just need to stop for pedestrians, I'm willing to forego that additional CFM for the electronic starts but side start intrigues me..
    Is there really that much more power in the Magnum or am I best off sticking with the 450?

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 роки тому +1

      So the two big differences between these two are blowing for (450=28 Newton : 800=41 Newtons) and CFM (450=642 :800=912) The side start is a really good option and it is a super comfortable machine to wear. The 800 also has a larger fuel tank adding 10 oz. of fuel capacity if that means anything to you. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

      @@WesternEquipment just bought the 800 yesterday!
      I actually was quite disappointed at first until noting the 450 had a slightly smaller chute. I changed the tips over and voila, there it was! I found the stock tip "unrefined" and felt like I couldn't control where I was blowing but the smaller tip has me right at home with a little extra power from the bigger 800 engine

    i have only had redmax 8500 blowers i went out on a limb and bought one of these.. things i like are the comfort and the more narrowed down blowing, seems to be more pinpoint as well as the engine is much more quiet. The blower has failed to start i cant tell you how many times, the thought of how many more moving parts it has being a "4 stoke" style engine is going to be more on the wallet over time than a normal two stroke, and that stupid little plastic wire harness thing that clips onto the machine for the throttle wiring constantly pops off since day one causing the harness to keep pinching my forearm, i ended up using a large zip tie to prevent it from coming off again.. there has been many times ive just put it back in the trailer and pulled out a 8 year old redmax that hasnt run in a year that always starts and gets the job done. The fuel tank is not big.. the redmax will run for a straight hour on a full tank, my guys always pick on me cause i " cant get the job done" but hey not bad for 650.00.... wont buy another one but its comfy

    That’s the one I’m going to buy. What’s the warranty period on this blower? I noticed that JOHN DEERE dealers and Montgomery Ace Hardware sales Still blowers weed eaters etc and other dealers. Which dealer is best to purchase Still products from for the best sales service parts and maintenance? Liked Subscribed & Shared

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 роки тому +2

      The warranty period depends on the usage. So if it is bought as homeowner usage it should have a standard 2-year warranty that can be extended to a 4-year by the purchase of either Stihl MotoMix or the Ultra Oil Mix. If it is commercial use I think it is only a 1-year warranty. On where to buy, in our area for parts and service it is generally better to buy from a John Deere dealership but I'm not sure what kind of parts inventory is kept on hand in your area and if the hardware stores have a technician or not. I would ask the places you are looking at buying from and see if they have a technician on site for service and if they keep parts on hand. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for watching!

I use 93 octane with the opti oil so i can run one fuel across the sthil and echo and really all brands the sthil run cleaner now and seem to rev better than the swamp water ultra i was using but i was also using 87 octane as well.

I went for the Husqvarna 580 bts, it's £100 cheaper and I've found it to be excellent! Not knocking Stihl by any means, the Stihl's I have a fantastic, my HS81R'S is a freaking legend!
