How about forward lean? the new K2's have a very relaxed stance (too straight imho) is it to please the skiers that buy very wide free ride skis and cruise on groomers ;)?
urbanrunoff no, it’s to please people who aren’t skiing on full camber skis from the 90’s. With modern tip and tail rocker you don’t need (or want) as much forward lean and stiffness. Unless you want everyone to know how tough you are I guess.
Wrong info on Cabio VS Overlap boots Roxa makes the fultilt boots for K2 so the park boot you are showing does not compare to the Roxa R3 130. Compare apples to apples!
How about stiffness backward - is it softer in back of the park boots than trad boots? Does a park boot let you go too far back if skiing on the piste? How about ramp angle? Why show vid of skier carving on the piste - and then talk about park boots? How would the park boots (with stiffer tongue) perform for piste skiing and carving?
I asked for a boot for beginner powder. Took the 2014 K2 Pinnacle 110 ones. I am 197cm 100kg. Still struggling in the powder with Nordica Enforcer 93 185cm. Not sure if technique or equipment is to blame :D The walking mechanism is just for walking? I kind of remember the guy saying i should enable it before powdering too?
Tautulis7 not sure about the boots but the underfoot on the skis could be wider if all you’re doing is powder. And I’ve never heard of using the walk mode for powder haha
Please describe your unique struggles in the POW Tautulis7. Are you 100 kg skier weight, add 12-15 kgs if needed. Forcing (rushing) turns, turning to far across the fall line etc? Be patient and let your 110's work for you, subtle edge pressure, those boards aren't the problem unless the POW is super deep ( > 2' or 50 cm) or high water content in the POW itself. So many variables my friend... t
I'm sure the narrator has a broad knowledge of boots, but the content he gives is doled out in dribs and drabs without any overall goal. When talking about flex, he doesn't make any comments about what is different, how flex is measured, or how that flex matters (other than being 'hard charging'). Looks to me as if the 10 episodes could be distilled into one.
I love my 3 piece boots for the chin dampening. @3:07
great review!!
my wife has a very small leg (21.5) so she needs "girl's" boots..
could u give a high end girl's boot for example to look at?
Ha! No!
It’s called the “clog” and “cuff”.

Very informative video!
very nice. how big is the tradeoff if i go for walking capable boots?
Who buys a ski boot for walking? Only skiers buy ski boots for skiing and walkers belong in the parking lot.
@@AtomicB-zq2cw There's this thing called touring
@@Seriksy yes, but that is not what you said. Have fun in the ski area parking lot!
@@AtomicB-zq2cw That's not what I said? What do you mean?
on the K2 boots in a size 30.5, what is the boot length for that size?
The 3 piece design is known as Cabrio , Cabrio design or three piece Cabrio design.

Do not ski in walk mode. The safety instructions should tell you this.
Skiing with the boot in walk mode is impossible. Just try forgetting to set it and you'll find out yourself..
@@joffeloff found out the other day. insane. at least I know what it feels like now
