Thanks for posting this awesome video! For those interested, this is the first full-size all-electric collection truck in the country. The truck you see in the video is a prototype and takes about 2.5 hours to charge and has a range of about 45-60 miles. GreenWaste of Palo Alto is currently collecting data on range, performance, and reliability which will result in even better, more efficient electric trucks in the future.
We recently partnered with BYD to make a short video providing some of the technical details like range and battery capacity of this exciting vehicle. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/XtVMXACxxqQ/v-deo.html
A diesel truck also sounds like this - you just can't hear it. It's the sound of the hydraulic pump. Reminds me of the sound of a cardboard recycling baler used in grocery stores. Could be quieted even more with the right design.
Awesome neat and awesome electric garbage truck on trash dude awesome man electric garbage trucks are better than diesel garbage trucks because there better for the earth and our environment too man

I like this truck, but is it just me or does this truck look like a rebranded Peterbilt 320?
Bit like the Australian bin trucks
Yeah. That design is taking elements from that style in the region.
it doesnt look so good but not bad at the same time
It’s in a weird middle ground.

I'll stick to diesel. I cant stand how this truck sounds...
I think it's the lifting system that sounds like that.
