Recology San Francisco: 7:00am Monday Route Trash + Compost Collection - Split Body Garbage Truck

- Hey everyone! Here's a video I recorded back in June 2022 during my first week of summer break. After filming my, for the time, new driver once on my Friday route, I went to the Monday portion of my neighborhood only two blocks away to grab some video pretty early in the morning. I followed along for about 1 1/2 blocks worth of 17th Avenue in the Inner Sunset, featuring clips of apartment walk in service and standard residential collection between Lincoln and Judah streets. Any of the clips where you see a black 96 gallon without a lid paired with a green 30 are multi unit homes that utilize a trash chute that feeds into the 96, which is pretty neat in my opinion. Otherwise, a ton of old ex Norcal Waste Services EVRIs are seen throughout, as well as one of few brand new grey 16 gallon carts. One of the stops has a black 32 gallon with a lid painted blue underneath, so I'm guessing the lid came from a recycle cart and was poorly re-painted, and then for some reason placed on a black cart. I've been enjoying looking back on my 'Frisco footage and finally putting together some videos - so with that being said, thanks to Alejandro for always allowing me to film! Enjoy the video!
Filmed: June 13th, 2022
Location: Inner Sunset, San Francisco, California
Camera: iPhone 12
Really enjoyed this truck, and the cart variety! And yeah, they should’ve put a black lid on the cart at 12:02.
Thanks! Despite being 100% Toter, there is still a great variety in SF.
@@RecologySpencer No problem! That’s interesting.
Excellent video bro.
Great video Spencer happy Sunday morning have a great weekend
Awesome video man!
much different to over here in australia, the drivers wont get out they have it automated and have a arm that will reach out.
That's how a good portion of the country does it, but most large cities, due to parked cars and congested streets, use this method to access the carts. "Semi-automated" as well call it - driver must get out and bring the cans to the truck, but the joy-stick controlled tipper handles the dumping.
Hey Bro! Would you happen to know how hard is it to transfer between Recology locations?
As a driver?
@@RecologySpencer Yes. I have an interview with the Davis yard tomorrow for a casual driver. The pay is low compared to the surrounding cities. I was hoping to get on and maybe transferring after a couple of years.
@@louisgordon-415 I see. From what I know, many guys transfer. Mostly from surrounding cities to San Francisco. I haven't heard of other instances but I'm sure it's possible!
@@RecologySpencer Yeah I hear SF is a pretty popular destination. Thanks for your prompt response Bro.
@@louisgordon-415 No problem! Let me know how your interview goes and what happens after :)
