I've made this 3 times now. It's so good. Here's the recipe in full. Instead of using self-rising flour, I calculated the needed amount of baking powder to compensate. I also cut the fat by using non-fat Greek yogurt and half of the butter. 260g All Purpose Flour (+ more for rolling out) 1 tsp Sugar 1 tablespoon + 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 8 oz plain non-fat Greek yogurt 2 teaspoons olive oil 1/4 cup 2% milk 4 Garlic Cloves, sliced 1 tablespoon butter, melted 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped sprinkle of nigella seeds
Ingredients- 260g self raising flour, Tsp sugar, salt and baking powder. Mix. Make well, add one cup yogurt, drizzle olive oil and splash of milk as needed. Crushed garlic and corriander and melter butter.
260 grams flour equals 2 1/8 cups. These East Indian breads are great for preppers. Have plenty of flour, etc, stored up, then make your own. I've been practicing. I store all grains in the freezer to prevent bug eggs and bugs from forming. Works great for rice. I just made a 1/2 batch of this recipe. Out of yogurt, so substituted sour cream; that worked. Thank you for putting this recipe in here for us, Haste's Kitchen!
If you are looking for quick homemade naan this is your recipe. I took Indian cooking classes as it is my husband's favourite food. I've been making it for years but my naans have never been great. For the first time using this recipe I was excited to serve this naan and it was a pleasure working with the dough. The dough bubbled up like it's supposed to do and my husband loved it. I am very grateful for this video and recipe and will not use any other from now on. It truly is a game changer and the naan is delicious, like really really tasty. Thanks so much for posting.

Thanks for this recipe! Ridiculously easy to make and tastes amazing! I've made this twice now. First time I put it right on the pan and it was great. Second time I let it rise for a few hours and it was on another level. The dough bubbled up so much more when given the time to rise and it was so much more fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It also looked more authentic with those classic charred naan bubbles. I also just brushed it with butter and parsley at the end instead of cilantro and nigella seeds for simplicity.

Damian Calypso I made this tonight; substituted regular flour and ingredients for the self rising flour, then added half the amount he said for the salt and baking powder. Next time I won’t add the extra salt and baking powder. I don’t think it was necessary.
@@memellie Yes it will still work. 👍
Geezers absolutely correct in all bloody indian restaurant's it's always made from self raising flour, baking powder, milk plus egg
I've made naan with self raising flour by mistake. It went straight into the bin. Epic bread fail.
@@nickpunafamilylaw no egg

Good recipe but... is anyone else seeing the screen/camera tilt? It's kind of throwing me off, and I'm not sure whether or not I'm just going crazy.
James Crow its on a moving slider, for some reason it tilted 🤦🏻♂️ I couldn’t reshape to edit on post edit. Sorting for next shoot mate. Apologies you’re not going mad 😂

Cooked the curry already, and now following your recipe , thank you .
With that kind of knowledge and skill you must have top level government clearance!
Probably the best naan video I’ve seen so far, very simple, Let’s see if I can replicate it🙏
Love that brand new unseasoned carbon skillet pan, supposedly its debuyer mineral b
Cast iron pans are best and more healther,
I noticed that too. It’s a great pan but I don’t think it’s a good idea to use it unseasoned because it comes shipped with a protective coating from the factory that you should remove before seasoning
