You teach how to use the word "by" at the same time we also learn other words and how to speak in a complete sentence. I really like your teaching. Thank you so much.
Another clear well paced lesson. Personally I think you explain too many of the simple Thai words in the example sentences that your students should know already at this level. But it’s still great. Many thanks ❤
Hello Khru New, the way you teach us is absolutely the best I found among lots of others. I don't just mean the specific content of every single one of your videos but also the didactically clever way of presenting that good stuff too. And - of cause - 😘 your refreshingly cute personal charisma. Please continue exactly like this! Thank you in advance and best regards. Bernd
This was very useful. By is just a single word in English but has many meanings where in Thai those meanings have separate words. I know many times I will look in a dictionary and don't know which to pick when the same English word has multiple meanings. โดย is another I have used for by - หนังสือโดยคนแต่ง
Thank you! Another Super useful grammar lesson. I am also confused with the word ด้วย and ทาง as by. E.g. I come by bus. Is it ผมมาด้วยรถเมล์ ผมมาทางรถเมล์ I think the first one sounds more correct. Also ด้วย is sometimes used as “with” right? E.g. I eat with spoon. Is there some rules I can follow to use these?
I surprised you, did I?😊 I didn't mention that because I actually didn't say it much in my casual speaking. But definitely, โดย is another word for 'by' in Thai
Why in#3 - ติด, first example: Condo by the river the word ยู่ was not used, after all this example is about location. However, in the subsequent 2 example also about location the word ยู่ was used?
Can I ask please, if I am woman, so in sentence: บ้านผมอยู่ติดทะเลสาบ could I use ผม or ฉัน (and it would look like this: บ้านฉันอยู่ติดทะเลสาบ) ? And isn´t เขา the right word for He, please?
I think that Desmond Leach is correct : ผมมาถึงบ้านผมโดยรถเมล์ another example : I go to work by car : ผมไปทำงานโดยรถยนต์ Good lesson here , but funnily the only "by" I knew was โดย
Thank you guys, this makes me smile when I see you helping each other in learning Thai language. I didn't mention the word โดย as I don't use it much in practical speaking. For example in the sentence, I would say ผมนั่งรถเมล์กลับบ้าน I go to work by car. ผมขับรถไปทำงาน😊

In your example you can say
ผมนั่งรถเมล์มา for casual speaking 😊
Thank you very much for this lesson. Very informative as always. I expected you’d include โดย. :)

love it. ครู new
ขอบคุณค่ะ 😊
Why in#3 - ติด, first example: Condo by the river the word ยู่ was not used, after all this example is about location. However, in the subsequent 2 example also about location the word ยู่ was used?
Because the first example did not have the “to be” verb “is”. Condo by the river. If it was, The condo is by the river, then we use อยู่
Correct 😊 Thank you
Please tell me about " To " by preposition.
Please check the link for how to use 'to' in Thai😊

Kruu New, which one is more common.
Yuu dtit or Yuu rim = by
อยู่ ติด vs อยู่ริม
I think they mean slightly different so which one to use depends on a situation
อยู่ติด next to ....
อยู่ริม the edge of ...

Hi , Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy 😃 New Year ! New subscriber, Big like 👍. Peace ☮️
Welcome to my channel and Merry Christmas ⛄😊
👍✍️ any exceptions w/ ผ่าน pàan usage is always used when moving-verb, dern/kap rot etc, instead of "dtit"?
It might be easier to think about meaning
Next to ติด
Pass ผ่าน
😊
I was going by university(pom took pai pan maha vit ta yaa lai).can you convert this sentence
I might say😊
pŏm pàan bpai má-hăa wít-tá-yaa-lai

You use ฉัน if you are female speakers 😊
เขา written way, เค้า casual way to write for he, she, they. When you speakers, pronounce high tone
@@thailessonsbynew Thank you very much 🙏😊
Just to clarify. If I say I arrived at home by bus I would say: ผมมาถึงบ้านผมผ่านรถเมล์?
Maybe use โดย (by means of) instead of ผ่าน ?
I think that Desmond Leach is correct : ผมมาถึงบ้านผมโดยรถเมล์
another example : I go to work by car : ผมไปทำงานโดยรถยนต์
