- SUPER EXCITED POGGERS FOR THE NEW EXPANSION!! I personally think that the theories that the community have came up with are pretty amazing. But as we know, we can't really expect anything and we can be entirely wrong.
What do you guys think will be the new jobs in DAWNTRAIL?

I feel the shirt could just be a reference to the pop culture pirates vs ninjas jokes. And points to the job being the pirate/corsair.
Ive seen some people say green mage, which would be cool with me! Ill take all the color mages.
This is something minor, but one thing I'd like to point out is that the new expansion name Dawntrail could be a reference to One Piece original title Romance Dawn. A series very popular in japan and about pirates.
I think the devs also has mentioned their fascination to Oda sensei's story telling of combining real life situation with fantasy
The only reason I don't think Geomancer would be in FFXIV is... its already referenced as a healer during the AST story quests (Kyokuho).
As a big FF Tactics fan, it'd be cool to have a Geomancer, Mystic/Oracle, Ark Knight (basically the jobs you see in the Return to Ivalice glamours), but as suggested... Corsair, even with a different name like Buccaneer or something, seems more likely.

Im thinking Leonardo duel swords means Pirate/Corsair with 2 swords and the CGI trailer will continue with him pulling another sword as the Mamool Ja is also fighting with 2 swords. Im probably well wrong XD

It only fits that we get White gates classes. and Blue Mage was added to Ff11 in white gates. But how does TMNT fit blue mage?
Well in Whitegates, blue mages where regarded are freaks of nature both positively and negitively, used as the city guard, honored with the nickname "immortal" but also insulted with the nickname "mutant"
Kojin is possible. Lalas have a tribe quest section although they are called dwarves there.
I would absolutely be floored if kojin actually became a playable race lmao
Corsair and pictomancer are next pretty sure we pretty much seen the corsair with the warrior of light on the ship and the names of the turtles are from legendary artist from the old age if is pictomancer it gunna be a caster mage maybe with a mix of melee like red mage i doubt a healer but it could also be possible
My guess: Melee dps are pirates, mage dps are painters

I have 2 guesses for both.
Melee being Corsair or Duelist.
Caster being a Chemist or Geomancer. Hint from shirt hints at either of these 2, Sorabon is a Geomancer Turtleman. But Teenage mutant ninja turtles were also made by a chemical spill hence Chemist. Also Geomancer is very nature driven and so is the New World where we are headed.

Duelist is a very interesting take. What would you think be the mechanic of that class?
@aylaveen Similar to what Corsair would be, but instead of an offhand pistol it would be a dagger or some other type of melee weapon. Build charges or meter with the sword to use hard hitting dual wield attacks. Edit: Also offhand attacks with off gcd skills. Would fit the current games combat model at least.
@FaceFish9 I think it's an interesting idea and the shadowbringers patch dungeon kinda hints at a painter caster class, so very possible but I think Chemist or Geomancer are more likely personally. More lore and plenty of players asking for it for years. But who knows. We will see.
@FaceFish9 So would painter if you found any others boring. Not like it would play much different than one of the other casters. Games classes have been kinda homogenized during the past 2 expansions. I find them all fun but their rotations are pretty much all similar, only real difference is resource management and what resources are used for or if you use more or less off GCD abilities. And yeah I do play them all, also black mage might be the exception since it's rotation is kinda crazy long. Just my opinion though, everyone I know that also all 90'd there classes say the same. But don't let me tell you how to feel about it.
@FaceFish9 Geomancer is Astro but pulling magics from the earth. Not throwing rocks. Likely would be a dps version of Astro.
Chemist could have very cool potion making similar to ninjutsus from Ninja and varied aoe mechanics.
Painter would throw paint and draw things that come out and hit as seen in Shadowbringer dungeon. Also add that a painter would likely be a selfish caster dps and we have 2 of 3 for that already.
So any could be interesting. Your just too into that idea, but no worries, we will see. I personally don't actually see the Green Mage as an option unless that's the reason they were pulling dots and debuffs from other classes, but highly doubtful.
I heard one about Turtle in Spanish beeing called Tortuga. And Turtuga Island is a name used in Pirate stories, thus Corsair.
But I like the artists theory too. So maybe its a hint at both Corsair and Pictomancer...
Also Sai being a Ninja, so scouting class. Maybe Pictomancer will be the scouting gear class...? Would be weird but Ninja is really similar to Naruto's and Sasukes skill sets.

Shirts have always been hints for a specific job or race. While it is possible that things may have changed I wouldn't assume it.

Corsair and Pictomancer/Ink Mage
Geomancy adds literally nothing new to the game, we already have Black Mage and Summoner that deals with the elements.
Mount Rokkon also just introduced a new Onmyoji character and one of the fights in that dungeon is an ink tiger coming to life from a poster, plus Ink Mages were in the Heroes Gauntlet.
I kinda like the name Ink Mage a bit more than pictomancer
Hell of a stretch but mutant could be a hint to mutaneer :') hopefully i dont pull a mucsle after that stretch

I feel the shirt is a reference to the whole pirates vs ninja thing. I really hope pictomancer is just another stupid jump the gun idea by the people, like when they thought Lyse was a Dancer in Stormblood.

@@aylaveen It makes a lot of sense considering the color green and their support spell is called Shell (as in a Turtles Shell).
It also takes the spot for the "Non Bursty Magical DPS" Slot that we dont have, a Caster that their DPS is with DOTS, cause all of our Casters are all Bursty, they do not have DOTS.
