Straight away! With a puppy I would be trying not to create scenarios where a "no" would be needed and work on "yes" mostly. Remembering that "no" doesn't have to be this big bad scary thing means that you can do it early on without issue. Important that a dog learns what we want and what we don't want as early as you can.

He is right ... 'no' is just a signal sound to let a dog know that a negative stimulus is about to occur. 'No' has no meaning to a dog.
