Used this to set up my wolfbox , thanks for the easy video. One note for tho, that 15 fuse takes your cigarette lighter away aka extra USB’s so now I’m trying to figure out how to get more USB action in the cab.
Thanks for the breakdown! Can you toggle the camera monitors off/on so you have access to an actual mirror? Would like to be able to see what my dogs and young child are up to while driving as well.
You’re welcome! This lcd attaches over the mirror so if you wanted to use your actual mirror you’d have to take it off. Or you could just turn the display off momentarily and possibly just use the black screen to see them!
If you get the window mount bracket that replace the OEM mirror you'll be able to remove that home link wire and run the WOLFBOX wires in that same wire channel to have a cleaner and OEM look, I have a 2021 Toyota Sequoia and u can't even tell it's not the OEM mirror
Thank you! It comes with double sided tape on the mont so I just stuck it on the window! It stayed up there really good & I took it off to move it to another location and there wasn’t any residue left behind
Great vid!!! Just installed mine. Followed you advice with the power connection. Have you had any battery draining issues when the vehicle is off? When I turned off my truck the camera stays on. Appreciate the details!!
I’m not too sure out of the options, I didn’t really think they had different options for the hardwire part. I only needed to use 2 fuses and a ground as I displayed in the install and they should supply you with an alternative power source that plugs into the cigarette lighter if you wanted to do that! I’ll double check and let you know though
@3:00 you still obstructed the airbag when you said you didn't want too. Those are the curtains that when they deploy, they cover the front and rear door windows.......... Could have just taken the 10MM bolt out behind the SRS airbag tab on it and ziptied it to the factory harness already there. Airbag will just cut the cord when it deploys anyways..... I took my entire headliner down recently to sound deaden the crap out of my 2022 tacoma.
I have a Colorado and was thinking of doing in-car for the rear camera but the installation guide advises against that. I tried looking up their recommended camera for this purpose but could not find. Is the rear camera for the G900 the same as G840S or am I going to be losing quality by installing in the cab? I am just afraid of theft or vandalism, so I am not interested with installing outside of the cabin.
Honestly I’m not too sure if the cameras are different between those two models. You could definitely use this setup though and just mount the camera wherever you want in the cab! The mount has double sided backing (it’s strong) so it will stick to pretty much any hard surface
Unfortunately not with this model, you’d have to pull out the SD card and use an adapter to the phone or put it into a computer to download the footage
Hello friend, I have a problem with the connection because I follow your instructions and my power goes out in the sigarrero. I don't understand why that happens. I have a Tacoma 2021.
That’s definitely interesting, I’d suggest looking up a diagram (think there is one on Tacoma World) and see what might work best for you. I haven’t had any issues with the cigarette lighter though
It does! The red is accessory power and the yellow is for battery power. At 4:47 I have a shot that shows the locations I used, and I would recommend using those!
@@Tn_Taco actually, i'm going to install it on my van. was wondering if i can pick any unused slot or if the amps are specific to the slots? i understand about the acc connection but more concerned about blowing something by using the wrong slot. thanks
@@jamesk1619 gotcha! I would probably take a look at the fuse cover first and do a little research on which fuses might work best! I would say a 15A fuse would be perfectly fine for this as that’s what I’m running it on and have had no issues!
@@musicheadjesse under the driver side seat (under the carpet, it will peel up easy) there is a rubber grommet that gives you access to below the cab. @@musicheadjesse I added a camper top now and installed the camera to the back of that now since I can no longer see out of my rear window! If you don’t have anything obstructing the window that’s still a great spot. The fin or brake light would also work great & 50 extra feet will be plenty!
Thanks Dude, pulled the trigger! Got a G900. Refurbished with extended warranty and the nicer camera. All in with your awesome 18% off - $163. USD. Many thanks 🙏🏼
This video helped a lot before my install happening tomorrow. confirm i dont need a fuse tap since the hard wire kit comes with a mini 15amp fuse and our cars are mini fuse amps too. this guy is straight confusing me with his turtorials about using fuse taps. ua-cam.com/video/XwFE16Hcjko/v-deo.html
Yeah seems that guy did a lot of extra stuff, the good thing is the only open fuze slot is batt power so you really don’t need to get an add a fuze, and for the accessory power I haven’t had any issues with just replacing the power outlet one!
Don’t forget to use code TN_TACO for 18% off one of these!
Hey bro for your rear cam did it matter witch way it was facing if it points upside down or is there no wrong way ?
@@antonioidk6888 there is no wrong way! You can flip it upside down or right side up in the settings once you hook it up!
Thanks just installed mine and copied the fuses you tapped in. Saved me some time there. Thanks!
Of course! Hope you enjoy it!!
You didn’t want to “tap wire” fuses? I’m assuming you removed the original fuses. Right?

There are 3 options for hardwire kit. Single fuse, extended hard wire fit 20ft , double 4 fuses. Which one did you use in this video ??

Just looked on the website, the double 4 fuses is what I have which will allow you to do what I’ve done in the video!
Is 20ft as far as it goes?
The hardware kit that came from wolfbox does not fit correctly inside that white fuse box. They came in three sizes, and none of them fit
