2023 Progress Update: Downtown Revitalization

Downtown is the heart of our city, it’s our central hub for business, innovation, and creativity.
Our Downtown Strategy is focused on revitalizing it for years to come. Here’s what we accomplished last year ⬇️
🏡The downtown office conversion program enabled 11 projects, turning offices into homes that will collectively remove approximately 1.46 million square feet of office space downtown.
💛 Supported 215 local downtown initiatives, festivals and events attended by 1.6 million people.
🏢 The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre brought $17 million in economic impact in 2023, catching up to pre-pandemic levels.
