could drill all the way thru round fitting on existing part... low downside risk as you want to replace that part anyways... might work until you get the perfect solution.
Also... for whatever reason I thought you were based in Phoenix... my son just moved to Tucson a couple of weeks ago.

you put an LS into the Roadster... might consider the GTM and put a coyote in it

Isn’t there a way to mount struts to the hood hinges to support the fiberglass and not need a prop rod?

Hey Jim, I am building a '33 HR myself right now with an LS engine as well. I am trying to find the correct water pump to use-everything I look up has the upper hose pointing up and the the passenger side, not toward the F5 center radiator connection. Do you know what water pump is on your engine, as it looks much smoother with the upper port shooting straight forward. PS- I went with full fenders and running boards for the exact reason you are having. I did not want my paint to get all the rock chips. If you want to protect it, I would consider the clear stone/chip film that most car dealers put on the leading edge of the hood and fenders. It works great and is seen minumally.

I am using what came in my Eddie motorsports system. There is 3 different drive systems that GM makes. Truck, Corvette and not sure their 3rd. (It has been a while). Whatever you get needs to be in the right eco system for the belts to line up. Due to the steering rack, you will want the shortest you can get.
