These videos hit a very specific itch I have where I don't wear makeup or do any skincare stuff but I absolutely love weird little bottles of potions and serums and stuff, and also love tearing through advent calendars. Plus she's just so adorable I can't handle it!

I appreciate that they included the conditioner with the shampoo on the same day rather than two separate days and including a few brushes with the eyeshadow,unlike sephora where they put the eyelash glue on a separate day from the lashes and the glitter glue separate from the glitter 😂
Not sure if too late, but maybe next year- yes style has an awesome advent box- between $180-$200 for full size Korean skin care. Have not been disappointed 😍
I'd love to be able to get that one, I love Yes Style! But for some reason they don't ship the advent calendar to Canada 😭
I think subscription boxes and Advent calendars generally contain red and/or berry toned lip products because they're usually suitable for use with the most skin tones, whereas most "nudes" are only nude for a certain subset of people.
I absolutely love this time of year just for the sole purpose of your advent calendar unboxings 😍

The Viktor & Rolf perfumes are mentioned in lists of things to avoid putting in your hold baggage for flights because they resemble grenades on X-Rays. The version they sell in airport Duty Free shops has different packaging for that reason.

@@mooltz I literally read it on the airport security information page of the London City Airport site a few years ago that they recommend against packing that cologne. If you see the cologne for sale in Duty Free shops it’s in a different bottle.

Lapland is the northern most part of finland where “santa lives”, beautiful spot to see northern lights. it’s a popular tourist spot but also the native land of Saami people. If you’re interested i recommend searching up organizations that help support saami folk.
Kind of sad that a brand would use Lapp/Lappland in their branding.
The Sami people also live in the northern portions of Sweden and Norway.
@@theresamnsota3925 Yeah! I cringed the moment I heard it, especially from what should be a 'luxury' brand. Using a slur and the coloniser name isn't Cool. Especially with how much we - the Norwegians, Swedes, and Finns - have encroached on their ground. The area is preferred to be called Sápmi - at least from what I've heard - and it chafes that a brand uses such a word. Yes, it may have been the 'official' name of the area for a WHILE, but that does NOT excuse the fact the l-word is a slur to Saami people, and have been used in their oppression. Just Norway alone is responsible for such reprehensible actions, where we can never repay for what we've done. Especially with how we keep trying to take their lands or their livestock.
Basically, I hate the fact they used a slur for a product. If they wanted the same vibe, use any other area in Scandi! The Northern Circle - Polarsirkelen - is a very popular tourist spot in Norway, as an example, for its beauty and history. There are so many things you could call that product, without continuing to silence Saami voices.
Idk, it just chafes that this product got used in the calendar. I can kind of understand why an American company may not have noticed, but like, STILL. Quality checks should've happened. I know Scandi stuff never really reaches West, but still. Such a thing shouldn't have happened.
And YES, like the OP said! If you're interested in Saami culture and/or products, look into Saami organisations! I know around Christmas times there pops up a lot of Saami-led shops and products sold. Oslo, for example, has tents where Saami people sell genuine products that will support them and their culture. The reindeer products especially, as that side of their livelihood is often threatened by the State and its limits. I just genuinely recommend looking into Saami organisations, especially as a lot of their culture is appropriated. Especially as the Christmas season is approaching
@@irisbaggins I looked up the brand, and it looks like that particular product was made in France, so perhaps that explains some of the cultural ignorance. Doesn’t excuse it though.
I may have taken a bit more offense as I believe I may have some Sami heritage in the family woodpile. Hopefully 23 and Me and AncestryDNA will eventually be able to detect Sami DNA. In my results I got a hit for Finland, which has never been part of my family story and I got a strong hit for Norwegian ancestry in county Finnmark. My direct Norwegian peeps came from the Sognfjord, not that far north.
But yeah, they should never have used a product with a slur in its name.

That is very understandable! For me, it's just my general enragement about how Saami folk are treated, especially how we Norwegian folk can brush our atrocities under the rug. It sucks.
But that's cool! And Sognfjord is a really stunning place. I do hope your look into your ancestry goes well! A lot of Saami heritage has been hidden due to the oppression they were under, so hopefully your own investigation can find what was forced to hide!

@@irisbaggins yeah I totally get the poor treatment angle of indigenous peoples. We here in the States get called out for it all the time by people around the world (and rightfully so). The company Polaar, which is based in France probably thinks they’ve done nothing wrong.
This calendar is sitting on our dresser in our bedroom. I’m so excited can’t wait till December 1 st I did not watch whole video but loved your summation! I also love I can use empty calendar afterwards! Stay safe girl. I’m going to watch the elf videos.

FYI for glitter polish. Paint it on a makeup sponge first (those cheap white ones) then dab your nail. You'll get better coverage more like what it looks like in the bottle.
I love your dedication to unboxing advent calendars as 1) I’m broke and 2) whenever I get an advent calendar I either forget to open them OR I open the doors all at once (thanks ADHD)
I love this time of year. Advent calendars my favorite are always the one with piece of chocolate. I just buy it to have an excuse to eat chocolate in the morning.

I'm in the UK and I have to say, I think the Glossybox advent calendar over here is much better this year! There were definitely some good products in your one, but I feel a bit underwhelmed after seeing everything - especially as day 25 in our one is the Huda Mercury Retrograde palette! I think they could have given you something better than Wander Beauty for the final day 💜

Fyi that watermelon sleeping mask is my *holy grail* product. Like SO GOOD. I have the most sensitive/reactive skin and I breakout easily from most products, but this not only doesn't break me out, it actually made my skin the best it's ever been! Like clearer than I thought possible.
Edit: just use a little dab of your finger every night before bed. The mini size lasts like six months!

So, i feel like this advent calendar had a lot of sample sizes and the only reason it is 500$ value is the 111 skin, and maybe one other skin products. Also skin care seems to be running more expensive now days even with the sizes going down a lot too... but this is just my opinion. this calendar wasn't bad so yea...
The value for this advent calendar is definitely better than ELF!
I completely agree with you that there were hardly any makeup products, but it was nice that there were some different products like a candle & a pillowcase so it wasn't just skincare.
I am actively avoiding other creators who are doing Advent Calendar Unboxing, yours are the best. I think you missed a sheet mask in the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Treatment Box #5
You can use the pillowcase to help dry your hair! I like to wrap my hair up while I’m getting ready and doing my makeup! The silk helps it not dry frizzy!!

#TeamSEAS I gift the Glossybox to my daughter every year as her "mixed" calendar, and have never been disappointed with them! Still don't understand why they replaced the items for door 18 and the pallets for the US market, but whatever I suppose, she'll love it regardless. 15:25 GORGEOUS ENGAGEMENT RING!!!!
The pillowcase would be great for traveling
I'm going to interpret "sleeping candle" as a candle you don't actually light, precisely because you're going to sleep, so you just open it and leave it on your bedside table as you go to bed. It will release enough scent as an opened lidded candle and you don't have to worry about putting it out because it's not lit to begin with

@@minagica No, I definitely think you burn it before you go to sleep to help you wind down. If you just want something scented to help you sleep, they have sleep sprays and other items for that. There's literally no reason to put it in a wax format.

Love the viktor&rolf perfume as well, I recommend buying the Sephora perfume sample set from this year as it includes the V&R , you get samples from different perfume brands and a voucher that you can exchange for a full size perfume.
The best perfume is any Juliette has a Gun! Vanilla Vibes and Musc Invisible smell so delicious!!

Lapland is the northernmost region of Finland, home to the indigenous Sami people, also sometimes called Laplanders. So I bet that's a good hand cream, cuz if anybody knows how to deal with dry winter skin, I would imagine it's the people who live in the literal Arctic!😅

Love this, but I’m ready for the annual Sephora video. I re-watch her other ones and they never fail to make me laugh.
I look forward to the advent calandar unboxes all year. I originally subbed because of the spite of building the Sephora calendar from Dollar Tree items. It is nice to see ones that at least feel worth the price, though.
Sea lavender is a flowering plant that isn't related to lavender at all. It likes warmer places, full sun, and sandy soils and it has purple flowers so maybe that's why it's called sea lavender. I just learned about it in my Herbaceous Plants class and had never heard of it being used for anything other than for it's pretty flowers so I thought it would be fun to share! 😁

I looked up sea lavender cause I wanted to know what it was and it's a just sub genus of Lavender that grow by the sea it seems lol it does look different in how the flowers bloom and grow too though also I always find you relatable and personable but today I just felt like I could really relate to you in this video I like that you leave in the realization you were wrong and feel like a person and not an 'influencer'.
Not trying to nitpick or anything but sea lavender isn't related to lavender. It's apart of the Limonium genus. Whoever gave it it's common name really wanted to mess with people I guess lol.

You should get a digital stich counter. They have ones that strap to your finger and you press a button to go up. That way you dont forget which one your on. Love your vids btw. It always makes me smile to see when youve uploaded

Oh, this one was awesome!!! I am by far an expert but when I use cream blush, which I have fallen in love with, I use a damp beauty blender and lightly tap it where I want it. It's so much better than powder (for me)!! ❤
