*Video idea*: you should play a game of "fantasy advent calendar" where you design an advent calendar from day 1 to day 25 what would you like to receive in an ideal advent calendar and then when your done unboxing all of your advent calendars use the best things from them to actually make the advent calendar yourself as close as possible to the fantasy advent calendar that you designed, you can also estimate the value and what price could be sold for. I feel like that Bath one would be better suited as a Gift Basket. Like "Here you go. Pampering Spa day. Treat yo self!" instead of one by one, because you'd either use them one by one (thus losing the full effect) or you'd have to wait until the end to use any of it.
I’m actually more impressed with the first calendar in this vid than some of the more expensive ones you’ve done! I mean the stuff is cheap but the scents all sound amazing and it’s actually usable stuff!
I'm like you, enjoyed the first calendar because I'd actually use the products. Target actually has a fantastic advent calendar for only $20. It has usable items in it but is sold out. Lol.
You can use the cute little bags to make someone an advent calendar for Christmas or a count down to there birthday, Anniversary or birth of a child. Love your videos they are so much fun to watch. I really look forward to your videos. You are my favorite utuber.

I think these are the best calendars so far. Like as a whole, they feel better put together and at no point was I going "God, this is a rip off!!" XD
For $20, the first two are good. You maybe could recreate them from the dollar store but you'd only save $8 and no cute bags.
I agree. Ulta items are actually a little bit nicer than what can be found at the dollar store. And they're cute. I think the first two are good gifts for younger people. Teenage me would have loved the makeup calendar.
The only problem is the dollar store scents are nowhere near as good.
There should be a Build Your Own Advent calendar. You could choose skin care, makeup or both. You can choose the categories you want. For example, you could choose eyeshadow for a category. You could take a quiz for preferences. This way you have an idea of what to expect but you don't know the exact items until you open it.
Yeah, and you could say if you're blond, brunette, redhead too!

That would honestly be such a good idea for somewhere like Ulta. Because really, the goal of an advent calendar should be getting people hooked on products they maybe never would have tried otherwise, not unloading all your unused samples.

You can put laundry scent boosters like Downy Unstoppables in the cute sachet bags and tuck them in drawers or your closets to keep things smelling fresh.😊💕
The best part of those little bags is that you can use them to make your own advent calendar for someone else. Either the stuff you get in boxes you won't keep, or like tea and candy...Literally anything!
I dont know if you are into tea/flavoured teas, but the david's tea advent calendar is quite nice! If you do enjoy tea, the experience of it is lovely and each day has two servings of tea : 3

I used to work for Ulta. While I was never impressed by their prices in general , I do believe they their promotional gift sets (that are usually sale and/or often accept their $5 dollar off coupon) are worth it.
Tonight I opened the first door of my advent calendar. There was a picture of a toy horse on wheels. Very exciting. You can fill the little bags with lavender, and hang hem in your closet, toilets and bathroom!

The Keys Soulcare is Alicia Keys' brand and yes, it's owned by Elf! It's not crazy expensive, but it's not really cheap either. Like the regular size of that cream is 1.6 oz and costs $30

The first two calendars are definitely solid gift choices for a tween! The third one is a hard sell... Definitely not for a very young girl, but I don't think many "women" would be thrilled with it either.
Former Ulta employee- if something is out of stock online permanently, they take it off the website. Even in its in stock in the store. Which is a lot of fun when you find random stuff of the shelf and have no way of finding the sku number for inventory.
What do you do in that case? Like how would you go about finding the sku or the price of that random item? Do you find something similar and just use that price?
@@TheWholeEntireCake they have an internal social media of sorts. So you can post it there and hope someone can help you. Otherwise, wait until inventory and see what's missing. They have a lot of terrible systems.

I've never bought an advent calendar of any kind or even seen one opened before. I'm curious - if you could make the best (in your opinion) calendar, what would you put in it? Maybe you could actually put one together to show the companies what they could strive for. I'd watch that!
I'm definitely buying the bath and the makeup ones for my preteen girls next year. It looks like the Ulta ones have been good a few years in a row :) I love that these cheap Ulta ones are still better than the pricey Sephora one. I can't wait to see you unbox this year's!

I feel like the bags could be reused for trips, like I'd use them for some different sets of jewelry. Or maybe some cotton balls, qtips, ect. I also feel like they might be nice for a surprise. Like you could do a 3 day count down to someone's birthday. With like little notes and gifts(gift cards, candy, jewelry) each day.
You should create an advent themed Christmas tree- use the little bags and annoying little samples as ornaments and, the Macy’s coupon can be the tree topper 🤣
It would be quite funny if at the end of this you grouped all the products you received by brand and showed all the duplicates.
Or by product type to see what the most popular product type is in these calendars...

Every single video literally makes me laugh out loud. I watched the one earlier today when she recreated the Sephora calendar from the dollar store and when she revealed that she bought the fried egg socks, I laughed so hard I cried. The world NEEDS a lot more people like her.

that is THE BEST nail polish ive ever used in my life. I'm a cosmetologist (hair, nails, skin professional) so i can get any brand i want at cost but that stuff is longer lasting than anything I've ever used. it literally blew my mind

Though I love beauty/makeup, I kind of hate mindless consumerism and generally dislike “haul” type content, but there is something so lovely and cozy about these videos! I feel like they actually help a lot in making people more mindful of their buying habits instead of perpetuating consumer culture, because you are so honest. You should get one of those coffee warmer plate things that keeps your coffee warm or if you want a extremely expensive over-priced imo coffee cup you can get the embr mug. You can set a temperature on that and it keeps the coffee at that temp.
I use a wax/candle melter (the heating plate thing, not the kind with the lightbulb or a flame to melt it). Unfortunately, there is no heat setting, but I think it works well enough. Especially since I don't want to go back downstairs to heat it up in the microwave.

The nail polish that is in the box is such a nice color. I actually have that one specifically. It cost me like $10 to get it and it does chip pretty easily if you don't put a top coat on it.
I liked the bath one the best. And in general I think Ulta has the best idea of what an advent calendar should be. At least price wise.

Ideas for using the little bags: 1 make an "advent" calendar for February for the fiance since they appear to be a good color for the month of love. 2 use them for your bridesmaids gifts if you choose to do that. 3 use them to make a mystery game for you and your fiance like various food ideas to make together or destinations to go to or games to play together, just roll some dice to choose the number or pick randomly from a bigger bag.

If you have closets or even in your drawers, fill those bags with scented beads and put them in those spaces and it’ll help help your drawers or closets smelling good

there are so many different ways they could have labeled those baggies so that they didn't have a non removable number thus making them easier to repurpose.

Impress nails are pretty good press ons. They last really well, but use them within a year or so; the glue degrades over time. They hold well on the nails for a few days at least, but I can usually get a week from them! I love them for special events!

It's not terrrribly expensive in Canada. You can get a pack of 3 for $1 but the bigger boxes can get pricey
They're not actually that expensive. But the way they're wrapped fool us.
Water (drinking it) doesn’t hydrate your skin or lips. That’s why drinking a bunch doesn’t help your dry lips. Topical humectants will though.

I have an idea, for next year: FOOD advent calendars. You definitely won't get repeats! You can get a tea advent calendar (or coffee), and drink a different one, with each day of unboxing.
You can get repeats with the food advent calendars. It sucks and you die a little inside when it happens.
Very few things caught my interest, one being the Clinique makeup remover. I can't believe they included a shower pouf!!!!

I swear Ulta just changed the packaging and recycled the same bath products from last year's bath advent calendar. I'm pretty sure these are the same exact scents and items from last year.
