  • ( www.TFLcar.com ) The brand new 2013 Cadillac SRX and the new Lexus RX 350 F Sport are both luxury crossovers that seat 5 people and come with all-wheel-drive. In terms of price, performance and market segment the two vehicles are direct competitors. So this mashup is also a direct matchup review. And while the crossovers directly compete against each other, each brings something a little different to the table. The Cadillac has GM's new CUE technology package while the RX 350 is the racy F Sport version. In another fun and informative TFLcar Mashup review, we see which of these two new sporty and luxurious crossovers is the king of the hill.

Love my 2015 Cadillac SRX! It's been a dream to own, and I drive ALOT! My little Patsy the Cadillac SRX rides like a dream and is a SHERMAN TANK in the snow! I wish it was better on gas with the prices we now have, but that's life... luxury and safety come with a price. The Lexus is nice, but many in my family have owned the SRX and they have made it over 400,000 miles with minimal maintenance, it's also in keeping with the American name brand. I love it so much!

I just bought a 2012 SIX and I absolutely love the thing I live in Massachusetts and have already had to experience the snow driving so I know exactly what you mean it feels extremely Sure footed I was lucky and found one with only 80000 on the odometer And the thing is like brand new inside and out with great maintenance records absolute gem of a find I used to be a big acura but I think I'll be sticking with the domestic brands after driving The Cadillac

I just bought a 2011 SRX4 with the 2.8T and it only has 22,544 miles on it and I love it. My only issues are the horrible gas mileage because of the high engine revs (but it’s a Cadillac) and the horrible blind spots. I did get the dealerships extended warranty which added about $80 to my 2 year payment plan and it’s more than paid for itself.
    1. Sunroof leak that blew out lift gate $1,800
    2. Backup camera replaced $400
    3. Driver window servo failed $800
    4. Driver door latch broke which caused the in dash video screen to not go down when the car is turned off and the driver door is opened $680
    5. Sunroof sunshade replaced $990
    6. Navigation went bad $1,800
So out of $6,700 worth of repairs I paid $300. That said I still love this car. It’s my first Cadillac and I can finally listen to all of my DVD-AUDIO 5.1 music discs that I purchased 19-20 years ago with my Caddy’s 10 speaker Bose system.

I love that your reviews seems to have become more detailed and you are providing much more information. I really like that. Sometimes I would watch a video and it would just be 0-60 and that would sort of be that, and I didn't always feel that I had learned a whole lot about the car. More information paired with your flair is really working nicely.

I just leased a '15 SRX base model in FWD recently. I would've never gotten this thing if it weren't for the lease deal. For the ridiculously low lease price I'm driving a relatively prestigious name brand car. I think it was because they couldn't sell a couple of FWD models. Most people believe they have to have the AWD gimmick. It has an ancient slow ass 6 speed transmission but I can live with it. The RX is much more crisp but also costs $100+ more per month.

Active noise cancelling is not about a heavy foot. It's about highway noise or street noise. Why didn't they test that???? The active noise cancelling is for the low drone noise on the road that puts you to sleep. So the Lexus will put you to sleep more easily. The Lexus was quieter during acceleration due to it's lack luster performance. BOOOOOORING. TFLC once again doesn't do their homework. Come on guys! Also, Nathan's "nice" to me is "mushy" YUCK!

Ive had my 2012 srx premiem edition for 9 months and put on 19000 km's. 6000 km's have been pulling a 3000 lb trailer, the car has been awesome through and through, i live in extreme climate conditions and harsh road conditions. i was sceptic when i bought the car over reading the reviews and all the wrong info from people that havent even sat in a srx. The car is great, my milage is around 27 mpg now that its broken in and the power is even higher after break in. havent had one issue.

RX350 is unbelievable smooth ride. The quiet is nice especially when you are listening to music and answering a phone call on your car audio bluetooth connect. While its nice to hear the engine noise and feel the ride or have a fun ride, it gets old real fast. Long rides in RX you just feel comfortable throughout. Tried every car and I can tell you that the Audi, Cadillac and BMW are not comfortable at the back especially for long rides. The Lexus is just worth every penny thats why I bought it though the looks could do with a change as it looks weird from the front. But that being said its not a sports car so can't complain lol.

I got a 2013 RX350 for my wife back in 2013. She actually wanted SRX but the lease was more expensive at the time, so I didn't even bother looking at it. Now that the lease on the RX is up, I had to find a replacement. The 2016 RX is a bit overpriced, as expected, since it came out just a few weeks ago. Surprisingly enough my wife still likes the SRX, so I went and picked up a 2016 SRX today. After driving it for a day, I can say that I have absolutely no idea how this two cars can be comparable. I understand that the price point is very similar, but aside from that Lexus is almost two times better. Granted there are couple of features on the Cadillac that Lexus does not have. For example, Panoramic sun roof and vibrating seats (which I think are stupid), aside from that Lexus is far superior in every aspect. The built quality of the Cadillac is simply incomparable to that of Lexus, so all in all this video is a mash up and not a match up. But then again, my wife test drove the SRX and still decided to get it. In all fairness, she said that its definitely not a Lexus but she still liked it. The bottom line is, when I can get SRX at $300 less a month than the RX, I would certainly do it, under any other circumstances, probably not.

I'd take the Cadillac for sure. I'd rather take something interesting than something dull and BORING! Besides my 07 SRX haven't gave me any problems at 200k miles

I would never buy a Cadillac simply because it's made by GM, which makes junk vehicles. That SRX would be lucky to make it to 100K without a major mechanical issue - especially the transmission burning up. The Lexus would last 3 times longer with no major issues. It's just a much better made vehicle. I have 40 years experience driving and buying cars, I've owned a ton of GM vehicles and recently switched to Toyota and Lexus and never looked back. I bought a new 2013 Lexus RX450h and it now has 146K miles on it. Do you know what issues I've had? A single O2 sensor and a rear taillight bulb. That's it. I've replaced the tires three times, brakes twice, and kept up with the recommended maintenance (oil changes, fluid changes, spark plugs @ 134k) and it runs and drives like new. It's ready for another 145k miles. It still gets 28mpg. Every GM and Ford vehicle I've owned ended up being towed to the junk yard with a major mechanical issue, or it rusted out. I recently had my wife's Ford Explorer towed away for junk because the transmission failed, the fuel pump died and the front brake lines rusted out - and it only had 89k miles! You couldn't pay me to own a GM or Ford - I'll stick with quality, I'll stick with Toyota and Lexus.

i don't understand the transmision battle with the lexus its limited to 134MPH (6th gear) and after you hit 130 ish MPH all power is cut and you go into 8th gear so technically if the transmission battle was or top speed the cadillac would win (PS even if you remove the speed cap on the lexus it would only hit 144 MPH max because you have to factor in weight, drag,HP, Torque)

I will break the tie. The RX 350 has 1 more hwy mpg rating than the SRX. Also the RX comes with the hybrid model too whereas the SRX doesn't..
Plus Lexus is a better looking car inside and out. And the reliability would give me peace of mind.
