It can work out even though him being away in the army and the kids complicate things. The young lady needs to stay firm, polite, and cordial while enforcing her boundaries. Therefore, while she sparkles with joy and light, the future MIL comes across as even more viscous, evil, and spiteful directly and indirectly attacking someone that is basically fighting back by not fighting. Of course, she also needs to make sure she documents it in a private way like a diary and in digestible morsels let her fiance know what is going on, why she feels she can not leave the kids with grandmother and why his mom his stressing her out - behavior to her, stuff she is saying to others about her, court, etc. Besides the fact that she needs to keep in mind that as a deployed soldier he needs to be able to keep his head level to stay focused on his work, he needs to come to his own conclusion if and how he changes his relationship with his mother. If she tries to force it, and he is not ready, the future MIL will get her wish.

She is an elected judge and a licensed lawyer in the state of Texas. It's very well done and the actors are very convincing👌🏻 and the fact that it's based on real scenarios makes it more intriguing. The judge is a lawyer and has recently become an actual judge in Texas, but these are reenactments based on real events that occurred in child support court but they change the names and have actors playing the part.
No job is worth the damage she will do to those kids being under her care. Not to mention you should NEVER leave your children with anyone who will speak badly of you to them.
TraCIE is a spoiled girl. Not even a woman. Who has kids and expects to dump them on grandma so she can travel? That is pathetic. I can see maybe a day or two. That girl travels 5 to 7 days and is only back 2 or 3 and is off again. What a mess. She needs to be a mom until her husband returns. Then he can see first hand what her "influencer" job entails and how long he will put up with this.

I think suggesting that the kids should return to this woman's care even for a short period of time is an absolutely terrible idea. The mother in law is so hateful that, frankly, I wouldn't want my kids around her unsupervised. Tracie should pick her kids up, get a real job (the overwhelming majority of influencers make very little money with it) and take care of her kids. If the dad is home and she wants to give it a go, that's all well and good, but it's not a steady enough job for the mother of kids with a husband not at home.
My mother in law is the same way. 34 years later, our children are grown, they don't know their paternal grandparents nor do our grandchildren, we are still married and she is alone in her elderly years.
My mother in law was the same. I never forbid my son from seeing her but I NEVER let him go to her house unless I was there too. She always bought presents for her other 3 grandchildren but never for our son. I always had to buy presents for birthday and Christmas for him and I wrote her name on it so he would think he got a present from her. When he became and adult her found out that I did that. He was also omitted from her will (his dad passed) but the other 3 had equally division of her estate

The issue is that the mother in law had her served and if she didn’t show up then more than likely she would have been ordered to pay child support. The grandmother filed and took Tracie to court, it was NOT Tracie that brought them to court. If Tracie didn’t show up, the grandmother would have most likely got what child support which it was the GRANDMOTHER that filed for the child support against Tracie.

Even though this is a dramatization, I still think the Judge should have "strongly encouraged" the mom to give Grandmother at least $100 a week or so for taking care of HER kids. I believe grandma’s time was not respected and she was misinformed and kept out of the loop on important information about the arrangements. This caused a lot of frustration and animosity. Grandma didn’t know she would be stuck with the children for months at a time without any money for support and her time. Kids need entertainment money as well as food and clothing. Unfortunately, family will take advantage of your time and will try and make you feel bad when you call them out on it. As for the son helping to pay his Mom bills doesn’t need to be addressed because he’s not legally married. Why have a career that causes you to be gone from your babies for months and don’t pay the baby sitter. Really!

It can work out even though him being away in the army and the kids complicate things. The young lady needs to stay firm, polite, and cordial while enforcing her boundaries. Therefore, while she sparkles with joy and light, the future MIL comes across as even more viscous, evil, and spiteful directly and indirectly attacking someone that is basically fighting back by not fighting. Of course, she also needs to make sure she documents it in a private way like a diary and in digestible morsels let her fiance know what is going on, why she feels she can not leave the kids with grandmother and why his mom his stressing her out - behavior to her, stuff she is saying to others about her, court, etc. Besides the fact that she needs to keep in mind that as a deployed soldier he needs to be able to keep his head level to stay focused on his work, he needs to come to his own conclusion if and how he changes his relationship with his mother. If she tries to force it, and he is not ready, the future MIL will get her wish.

The judge is a lawyer and has recently become an actual judge in Texas, but these are reenactments based on real events that occurred in child support court but they change the names and have actors playing the part.

Tracey needs to get an actual job. She is litterally leaving her kids with a woman who hates her guts in order to pursue a job that may never pay or take off. Her priorities should be the kids that she had. Being gone for a week and only seeing your kids for like 3 days before you take off again is terrible parenting. I can understand why the MIL is annoyed by Tracey to a certain extent. Tracey needs to get a real job and stop letting a person who hates her raise her kids. She is caus8ng her own stress and sadness so I can't feel all that bad for her. MIL is obviously out of line but Tracey isn't making it any better.

The MIL needs to get a job and pay HER OWN BILLS. I'm 76 and still work to pay mine. What kind of person let's their son pay her bills? While the son is deployed Tracy should check into assistance for child care. Maybe put her travel job on the back burner till he gets home.

i've been watching russian romance movies (Love Buster) on UA-cam & also Chinese romance movies - with closed captions. The sons; mothers are even WORSE! They try to make their sons marry who they, their mothers want them to marry, & they almost always hate the woman that their sons love! I think suggesting that the kids should return to this woman's care even for a short period of time is an absolutely terrible idea. The mother in law is so hateful that, frankly, I wouldn't want my kids around her unsupervised. Tracie should pick her kids up, get a real job (the overwhelming majority of influencers make very little money with it) and take care of her kids. If the dad is home and she wants to give it a go, that's all well and good, but it's not a steady enough job for the mother of kids with a husband not at home.
My mother in law is the same way. 34 years later, our children are grown, they don't know their paternal grandparents nor do our grandchildren, we are still married and she is alone in her elderly years.

My mother in law was the same. I never forbid my son from seeing her but I NEVER let him go to her house unless I was there too. She always bought presents for her other 3 grandchildren but never for our son. I always had to buy presents for birthday and Christmas for him and I wrote her name on it so he would think he got a present from her. When he became and adult her found out that I did that. He was also omitted from her will (his dad passed) but the other 3 had equally division of her estate

I can't believe at the end when the MIL said the daughter has to "play nice" as rude as she was - if my MIL disrespected me like that she'd NEVER see my children.... It was a serious mistake for Tracie to attempt to deal with her mother in law. The husband/son really ought to be present for this hearing.
The issue is that the mother in law had her served and if she didn’t show up then more than likely she would have been ordered to pay child support. So she really didn’t have a choice because he didn’t even know that his mother took his fiancé to court! His mother is a piece of WORK and then some!!!
The grandmother filed and took Tracie to court, it was NOT Tracie that brought them to court. If Tracie didn’t show up, the grandmother would have most likely got what child support which it was the GRANDMOTHER that filed for the child support against Tracie.
IMO it’s taped so he can watch how ugly his mother really is! Then stop paying her bills while she is so very ugly to his children’s mother! Even though this is a dramatization, I still think the Judge should have "strongly encouraged" the mom to give Grandmother at least $100 a week or so for taking care of HER kids. Also the son really is a little shady and sounds like he's whooped by mommy. I don't see how his marriage to his baby mommy is going to work out with Mommie Dearest treating him like HER husband.
I believe grandma’s time was not respected and she was misinformed and kept out of the loop on important information about the arrangements. This caused a lot of frustration and animosity. Grandma didn’t know she would be stuck with the children for months at a time without any money for support and her time. Kids need entertainment money as well as food and clothing. Unfortunately, family will take advantage of your time and will try and make you feel bad when you call them out on it. As for the son helping to pay his Mom bills doesn’t need to be addressed because he’s not legally married. Why have a career that causes you to be gone from your babies for months and don’t pay the baby sitter. Really!
