I spent 20-30 hours over three days farming spare rations, got ~30 spare rations but only one was worth keeping. Was looking for rapid hit kill clip, but got hammer-forged/hi-cal/snapshot/MKC/range MW
I remember I was going crazy trying to get a good bygones. I spent about two weeks no lifing Gambit and praying to the rng gods. My prayers were answered when I turned in a Gambit weapon frame from Ada1, and in return for my struggle I was presented with the bygones that all other bygones wish they were. Smallbore, ricochet rounds, outlaw, and the choice between kill clip AND rampage. Perfect for any scenario where you need a solid pulse rifle. Paired with an opening shot/rampage shotgun in pvp or my trusty firing line sole survivor in pve, my bygones will never leave my inventory.

Stability on any handcannon is alright, except maybe old fashioned, reload speed is relevant, but there are many ways to combat low reload speed, impact is the same for 150s except for maybe thorn. So stats don't really matter except for range but the max range of any hand cannon is 28 meters so, not really.

Parcel Of Stardust with range perks is still my favorite shotgun in the game. You just move so quickly and smoothly with. One tap faces all the time. Mindbenders is definitely better with the god rolls but Dust Rock feels clunky to me.
Try premonition, blast furnace, and redrixs broadsword. Premonition with kill clip and a stability master work on console is amazing. AMAZING. It feels like it was especially designed to just chew guardians skulls away in crucible lol.. Flared mag well, rangefinder, and kill clip. Omg.
I see his choices were Pvp based so you can understand them. As a PvE player k love the Patron of Lost Causes, Steelfsather Repeater and Bygones from obelisks. Austringer, Trust and Beloved from Menagerie or Hammerhead, Ringing Nail or Blast Furnace from Forges. But Patron is my favourite so far, so many good rolls available.

As a pulse guy, I would strongly recomend Blast Furnace. It has a very, VERY nice ttk, a very smooth recoil pattern and can roll with Feeding Frenzy / Killclip or Feeding Frenzy / Rampage
I'll pretend you didn't forget Imperial Decree. It's got some great pvp perks and is essentially a kinetic mindbenders. Also super easy to farm from the Menagerie :p
TIP/PSA/SGA: You can farm One-Two Punch on the *kinetic* shotgun 'One Small Step' via the Lectern of Enchantment on the Moon. It has a 1/6 chance to drop the perk, and you can farm it easily in under 5 minutes per drop (IIRC). It is NOT a great shotgun, but if you just wanna throw together a melee DPS build, but want to use your energy slot for something other than One-Two Punch (like Recluse, FL, etc), this is a great solution.
Some additional weapons that would probably be in top 15-20: -Waking Vigil (energy 150 HC, farmable in Menagerie) -Blast Furnace (kinetic Aggressive Burst pulse rifle, Black Armory frame) -Austringer (kinetic Adaptive HC, Menagerie) -Bad Omens/Zenobia D (rocket launchers, Menagerie)
Waking vigil has inferior stats to Jack queen King, blast furnace is good, austringer is hurting cuz it's 150, spare rations is just better since 140s don't have more range anymore, and rocket launchers aren't anywhere as good in PvP as hammerhead.
Nah, pyroclastic Flow is the new meta legendary launcher for me. It already has tracking as it's frame and with ambitious assassin and cluster bomb, it's just too good
I am very surprised that Imperial Decree did not make this list. It’s the kinetic twin brother of the Mindbender’s, and it has some of the most user-friendly sights with the ornament. 10/10 recommend farming the Menagerie for it.

After you do the Forge bounty the first time of the week, it only costs 6 "modulus report"s instead of the ballistics log to repeat the bounty. You can farm modulus reports in the Forge (you get 2 or 3 per successful run iirc). I farmed out the kill clip/rampage kindled orchid last week that way.
I am pretty sure that your RNG is impossible and you are doing something wrong. You need to do it on Oryx week and you need to do T2. It doesn't drop in T3.
@@FlorelaFTW It can drop from T2 & T3, you just have a reduced chance in T3 due to the loot pool being larger overall, I have always had bad RNG in Destiny going way back to taking nearly a full year of doing 3 raids per week to finally get my Fatebringer in VoG. I had about 8 or 9 Praetorian Foil's and probably double that many Praedyth's Timepieces, finally got Fatebringer 3 weeks before the launch of Taken King where it became completely useless, same with the Crux of Crota for Necrochasm. The moment I specifically want something the RNG-esus makes me wait for it for what seems like an eternity, he is helping me in building my character I'm sure :P

Weapons that should have been on the list or at least honorable mentions (my opinion, no particular order): -Blasphemer (purple Chaperone) -Kindled Orchid (Kill clip+ rampage is pretty good) -Trophy Hunter (hipfire is actually really good) -Austringer (not a mini Scout rifle anymore, but still amazing) -Tatara Gaze (Kill clip= one shot to the body for a kill) -Twilight Oath (lowest zoom energy snipe, nice on smaller maps like Convergence)
Honorable mentions that I think people should keep an eye out for as well. 1: Breachlight. A sidearm that is basicly a legendary version of The Last Word. Shoutout to CoolGuy for pointing out in a review not so long ago, the potential that gun has. For PvP it is very forgiving. for PvE, the right roll gives Recluse a run for its money. 2: Tataras Gaze: while you're farming for the Lmg in the forges, consider getting that sniper rifle too! What's the unique selling point here? Its a high impact sniper and the only one so far that can get kill clip on it. With that fancy perk on you could do some real nasty stuff. Like 1 tapping players to the body. The sniper should also come in handy in PvE. 3: Gnawing Hunger. While yes its an auto rifle, its one that has an interesting perk cool. In one slot it has your regular perks, but the second slot is the interesting one. that slot drops all 4 damage perks and demolitionist. So while you farm for that Spare Rations, keep an eye on that AR, because you can not get a useless roll. Physicly impossible. 4: Want another high impact sniper rifle but can't be bothered with Tataras Gaze? Get that loooong boi, Trophy Hunter from the tower obelisk. Its selection of perks aren't that many, but they're still interesting. My recommendation there is disruption break. The only sniper in the game that lets you have this! This makes any handcannon-sniper setup more deadly. Break the shield with the sniper , get 50% extra damage with all kinetics, swap to kinetic handcannon, shoot and kill.

If you buy the Hammerhead bounty once with a ballistic log, you can infinitly farm the same bounty for modulus reports in the same week. Every reset you will have to buy the bounty the first time with a ballistic log
An alternative to the apostate, is the persuader, another 140 rpm sniper that can role with snapshot sights, moving target, outlaw etc and all u have to do is turn in vanguard tokens
I would add the Steelfeather Repeater from this season. Feeding Frenzy + Multikill Clip make it probably the best AR for PvE, and you can get 4 of them per Sundial run. If ARs ever get a buff, you will want that roll.
Was pretty surprised not seening L&D here, considering this thing is so easy to farm for god rolls and its basically everywhere in raids/master nightfalls

great tutorial for new players, I have a long time without making the reckoning but I was there everyday until l got all that I needed, although you should include the Gnawing Hunger auto rifle, with the right perks could be your recluse when you don't have it yet.
Rapid fire frame fusions are slept on. Grind for and review range scope, range magazine, firmly planted, quick draw prolium. You’ll wonder why you ever used a shotgun. Almost instant fire always and way better range than shotty.
The Sole Survivor (the gambit prime sniper) is just underrated, its the only sniper that can get slideshot and snapshot and it has such a great synergy.
If one doesn’t want to do menagerie, dust rock can be farmed in that one lost sector on earth, and Erentil is available through the gunsmith, if you’ve got bundles of gunsmith materials you don’t need.
You can get as many Hammerheads as you want per week, only the powerful frame you buy first needs a ballistics log. Every other Hammerhead that week will require 6 Modulus reports (get them from daily bounties and doing forges).
If you max out your obelisks, you can pick up THREE timelost bounties, and complete them during a sundial run. Then, you have 4 more opportunities to get Jack etc
It's funny that for Dustrock you didn't mention rampage despite that perk being on your dustrock godroll video from so long ago. Lol everybody thought the slideshot rampage roll was the godroll back in Forsaken and most of Y2 but the sentiment has changed since then. Maybe it was because we had just gotten specials back when it 1st came out and we weren't as interested or knowledgeable about shotgun consistency and was more worried about multikills.

I am pretty sure that your RNG is impossible and you are doing something wrong. You need to do it on Oryx week and you need to do T2. It doesn't drop in T3.
@@FlorelaFTW It can drop from T2 & T3, you just have a reduced chance in T3 due to the loot pool being larger overall, I have always had bad RNG in Destiny going way back to taking nearly a full year of doing 3 raids per week to finally get my Fatebringer in VoG. I had about 8 or 9 Praetorian Foil's and probably double that many Praedyth's Timepieces, finally got Fatebringer 3 weeks before the launch of Taken King where it became completely useless, same with the Crux of Crota for Necrochasm. The moment I specifically want something the RNG-esus makes me wait for it for what seems like an eternity, he is helping me in building my character I'm sure :P

Weapons that should have been on the list or at least honorable mentions (my opinion, no particular order):
-Blasphemer (purple Chaperone)
-Kindled Orchid (Kill clip+ rampage is pretty good)
-Trophy Hunter (hipfire is actually really good)
-Austringer (not a mini Scout rifle anymore, but still amazing)
-Tatara Gaze (Kill clip= one shot to the body for a kill)
-Twilight Oath (lowest zoom energy snipe, nice on smaller maps like Convergence)
Honorable mentions that I think people should keep an eye out for as well.
1: Breachlight. A sidearm that is basicly a legendary version of The Last Word. Shoutout to CoolGuy for pointing out in a review not so long ago, the potential that gun has. For PvP it is very forgiving. for PvE, the right roll gives Recluse a run for its money.
2: Tataras Gaze: while you're farming for the Lmg in the forges, consider getting that sniper rifle too! What's the unique selling point here? Its a high impact sniper and the only one so far that can get kill clip on it. With that fancy perk on you could do some real nasty stuff. Like 1 tapping players to the body. The sniper should also come in handy in PvE.
3: Gnawing Hunger. While yes its an auto rifle, its one that has an interesting perk cool. In one slot it has your regular perks, but the second slot is the interesting one. that slot drops all 4 damage perks and demolitionist. So while you farm for that Spare Rations, keep an eye on that AR, because you can not get a useless roll. Physicly impossible.
4: Want another high impact sniper rifle but can't be bothered with Tataras Gaze? Get that loooong boi, Trophy Hunter from the tower obelisk. Its selection of perks aren't that many, but they're still interesting. My recommendation there is disruption break. The only sniper in the game that lets you have this! This makes any handcannon-sniper setup more deadly. Break the shield with the sniper , get 50% extra damage with all kinetics, swap to kinetic handcannon, shoot and kill.
I’ve been out of D2 for a while and now that I’m back I’m getting absolutely wrecked in PvP. This video has actually given me hope. Can’t wait to start farming.

If you buy the Hammerhead bounty once with a ballistic log, you can infinitly farm the same bounty for modulus reports in the same week. Every reset you will have to buy the bounty the first time with a ballistic log

An alternative to the apostate, is the persuader, another 140 rpm sniper that can role with snapshot sights, moving target, outlaw etc and all u have to do is turn in vanguard tokens

I would add the Steelfeather Repeater from this season. Feeding Frenzy + Multikill Clip make it probably the best AR for PvE, and you can get 4 of them per Sundial run. If ARs ever get a buff, you will want that roll.

great tutorial for new players, I have a long time without making the reckoning but I was there everyday until l got all that I needed, although you should include the Gnawing Hunger auto rifle, with the right perks could be your recluse when you don't have it yet.

Rapid fire frame fusions are slept on. Grind for and review range scope, range magazine, firmly planted, quick draw prolium. You’ll wonder why you ever used a shotgun. Almost instant fire always and way better range than shotty.

The Sole Survivor (the gambit prime sniper) is just underrated, its the only sniper that can get slideshot and snapshot and it has such a great synergy.

It's funny that for Dustrock you didn't mention rampage despite that perk being on your dustrock godroll video from so long ago. Lol everybody thought the slideshot rampage roll was the godroll back in Forsaken and most of Y2 but the sentiment has changed since then. Maybe it was because we had just gotten specials back when it 1st came out and we weren't as interested or knowledgeable about shotgun consistency and was more worried about multikills.
