I have always wanted to know what was the city thinking when technically they put one of thier sirens on what they thought was city property but instead it is university property did they even try to move in to try to remove it or not
What are you talking about? Simply changing the oil in the unit would help, but do keep in mind that 6Ms on Tbolts run at a very low RPM, lowest on any Tbolt in fact. 6Ms are large, so resistance is higher on them compared to 5M and 4M models, so with low RPM and straight up heavy metal, the blower stops very quickly regardless of whether it's new or old.
I love how the Vortexes sound off but the Thunderbolt immediately drowns them out.
I do to! this thing is loud!
Me too
It really is loud! Last time I filmed it I had a headache from being so close
Damn! This Thunderbolt drowns out them Vortexes.
Just recorded this siren today. Still purring just like in this video!

The U bought the tgunderbolt
Voltage a little high today. Is this the only active Bolt?
7367Network Only one left unfortunately.. If this was owned by the City of Minneapolis it would be a Whelen by now.
This is the only active thunderbolt in the city of Minneapolis.
Update: siren hunter has found and bought one that hasn’t been scrapped yet!
1971 model?
The pocsag activation is rare. Nice one!
5/4 port thunderbolt
This is a 4/5 port thunderbolt
literally the same thing as 5/4
didn't know that
I thought Minneapolis got rid of all their thunderbolts
Elizabeth_958 the U of M and Minneapolis decided to keep this one in service, even though they upgraded to whelens.
Elizabeth_958 (typo, disclude Minneapolis)
whoever disliked this video is not a human, awesome video!
Wow that blower sounds weird
That's how you can tell the bearings are going on the blower by the immediate shut off after the attack mode.

thunderbolt10031 I don’t know what i was saying, i was probably trying to look smart. But yeah you’re right.
Joe16 What on earth?
@Joe16 He's talking about the RPM of the blower lobes, you're thinking of the rotator RPM. The blowers themselves typically run at thousands of RPM.
@@1000BT 6m
the vortexes got kicked in the ass lol
Do you have to pay to get on top of the parking garage?
Sirens of NE Ohio you can walk right up the stairs free of charge there
What's their freq?
the frequency of a 9 year old on xbox live
I can hear this siren 30 mins away!
Which is funny because it sounds very quiet in the video!!
Isaac Nelson it is louder in real life but it's not the loudest when I hear it
