The Himalayan broke the path for afforadable middleweight ADV motorcycles.. Since its launch continues to lead the pack of other entrants in the space. The bike is undergoing constant upgrading in terms of refinement. Having said that, I think more can be done to squeeze more juice out the engine with the existing block. An aftermarket 462cc and 477cc bore engines are being offered making the bike more exciting than it already is.. Perhaps R.E should consider offering one of the above as an OEM equipment, along with better brakes, a slipper clutch and brighter electrical.

    HIMALAYAN:
    1. More engine capacity, More torque.
    XPulse 200:
    1. Less weight, more agile.
    2. Less engine capacity, more fuel mileage
    3. Half the price of Himalayan
2&3. More affordable, No need to take loans - Live more happily.
Both has good after sales, but Hero tends to have cost effective service.

What happened to the braking test footage? I wish Hero would release a more powerful version of the XPulse as well, because the only letdown I see in an otherwise great package is the slightly underpowered engine, so it might be screaming its lungs out at around 80 km/h, which is a bit conservative.

I have the xpulse and I have done 13000 kms on it...... The bike is good.... it has excellent hardware..... Suspension, chassis, braking are all excellent and the instrument console is an absolute gem......Wat I feel is a big let down is the Engine....... It has its limitations...... The Engine heats up quite a bit and this is in normal city and highway riding conditions forget abt off roads.... It badly needed some supplemental cooling like an Oil cooler..... M glad that hero has employed an oil cooler on a Bs6 xpulse which was badly needed.......This will definitely make the engine a bit more refined smooth and better equipped for off road riding and highways runs...... Engine has to be revved quite a bit to generate power while offloading....... so it has less speed, less forward air for cooling and high revs hence engine heats up like crazy infact I have feeling it will just burn out if kept on revving......I wish they had employed an oil cooler in the first edition itself....But overall the bike is good value for money.....

2.5feet closely ,I Would chose the hero xpulse if offroading is my only go and mainly if I'm stuck on a budget,or else I would definitely choose the Himalaya for its offroading as well as touring capability.

    More comparisons:
    1. Looks of the bike- Himalayan wins
    2. Brand Value - Himalayan wins
    3. 2 people on board- Himalayan wins

3.5 ft further!! Well the light weight is after all a disadvantage and breaks the balance on the off-road..

For those who praising Xpulse.. be aware the wet weight of Himalayan may be around 200 kg.. Also Himalayan is not only for off roading.. It's also one of the best highway rider which the Xpulse is very useless for that purpose..Yes Xpulse is easy to handle for the off-roads.. But when u ask a pro he will not definitely suggest Xpulse over Himalayan.. Xpulse is only good for beginners.. Still Himalayan remains the king❤️

I bought a brand new Xpulse 200 4v just a month ago.. have completed two 700+ km rides to hills, and I feel only thing lacking on this bike is the weight, becoz of which the wind blast is very high on the highways.. but when it comes to offroading, its a gem in disguise.. Hero Motocorp have clearly outdone themselves this time 😁😁

Just outta curiosity, what even is the relevance of the jump test?
I'm an XPulse owner and I don't see how the XPulse is superior or the Himalayan is inferior cus that test was lost by the Himalayan? I'm seeing an incredible amount for comments on here talking about the XPulse jumping farther like it's some deciding test 😅

Both this bikes are different in speculations. So comparison is bit tougher on both bikes.
Xpulse is 200 and Himalayan is 410.
Need to bring in similar styling CC and Power/Torque bikes.
Similar track Himalayan, Dominor, 390Adv, G310GS, Mojo etc needs to be compared.
Xpulse has no comparison in 200 cc Adv segment except impulse or FZ25, KTM 200/250 - try this.
Though nice way for comparing Adv bikes. Keep up the good work.
3.5 mtrs is the answer for Clear air jump difference as answered by many. Till now Tshirts will be dispatched to the first 5 winners.
All the best for more competitive comparisons.
For me Ride Himalayan..👍👍👍for long rides, riding comfort and adventure tourer. Have made 2000 kms with 40% good roads and 60% mix of bad and worst roads. Mumbai to Nagpur and back, without any hindrance. Tough for Xpulse like bikes and other REH competitors.
    Thus Himalayan rules for me.
    Serious offroaders go for Xpulse.
