The Hero Xpulse 200 it is. As Shumi quipped, its an honest bike with the best intentions of what is claims to do. Those extra few CCs and BhPs help. Also, one thing that Shumi and Varun failed to highlight (in depth) is the Ground clearance, the Honda CB200X has a ground clearance lower than my Bajaj Avenger 220 Street!! How about a bike that looks like an ADV but has a ground clearance of a low slung cruiser? On the other side of the spectrum you have the Xpulse which has SUV like GC! Also, some people on this forum are saying they like the looks (with the semi fairing et all) of the CB200X, well there is a reason why a semi-dirt bike doesnt have a fairing and bolt ons, coz these bikes are meant to take a fall or two and those fairings are gonna get loose or crack the moment the bike is on its sides. Apart from the Himalayan, currently, there is no other bike which looks the way the XPulse does. It doesnt wear a Tuxedo coz its not going to a meeting, it wears the gear of a mountain climber coz thats what it is. P.S. I dont own an Xpulse but probably will do once the 4 Valve launches and settles in.
Hero has a winner on their hands. Xpulse is a versatile bike. Touring, offroading, commuting... There's nothing it can't do. Proud to be an Xpulse owner
Hero hands down killed off the Honda 200X with the XPulse 200 4V💯💯 This is what the XPulse should have been right from its launch. Hopefully the power is bumped to 20ps
CB200X - Because I want a reliable simple, 100% road ridden bike with decent power to cruise at 80kmph in a comfortable stance. This ticks the box for a lot of Indians man come on.
What more can you expect from a company that focuses on selling more and more Activas every month and not think of bringing something like the cbr 150r which can easily take on the likes of the R15. Honda treats India as a scooter market only and tries to lure customers with these gimmicky products, while gems like the Xpulse (like the impulse) go unnoticed on the roads.
Xpulse always any day. Does everything from daily commuting to weekend thrills. cheaper by 20k and the new 4 valve version will help it on the highway touring as well. So an overall better package and bang for the buck.
A year ago, I bought the BS6 Xpulse after a long hard look at the Hornet 200 and frankly I didn't know that the 200X is coming. When the 200X came out looking so fabulous, I had begun to doubt my choice. But after your insights, I am glad to say that there is nothing I missed out on and I wouldn't have changed my decision even today. As a Xpulse 200 rider I know there are some sore points... The headlight could be better for one. And it isn't great for the pillion... Pillions can go for short distances only without complaint and the rear part of the seat is granite hard. So value for money Xpulse is great. The only alternative is the Himalayan which is much more expensive and very very heavy which was a put off for me. Also the Apache is great, but I chose to trade Horsepower and sharp handling for suspension travel. And it was a good trade off. On the Xpulse I literally had have the confidence to put it through some nasty potholes just to feel it just filter them out totally.
Xpulse is definitely the best bike for our country. Reasons :- 1. It is an off-roader...like mentioned in this video ...it's not an adventure tourer...it's not a bike that pretends to be an off-roader...it is a hardcore off-roader.. and since most of the roads in our country are off-road tracks ...yeah this fits.. 2. Fuel economy...along with comfort and ride quality Xpulse provides pretty decent mileage too...which is a big factor considering the daily doubling fuel prices. 3. Care free....it's a Hero product...it's affordable to own and to maintain 4. Fun..... When you are off-road what matters is the power-to-weight ratio....more weight = less handling ability...less power = hard to tackle obstacles....in that sense ...Xpulse is perfect....the weight is manageable...and also there is enough power....so when you are off-road all you feel is fun and excitement ...not the fear of falling over and being stuck on somewhere I'm a proud owner of Xpulse (first variant...2019 BS4 Carb version). I learned to ride a bike on this (my first bike). And everyone who cares for me was skeptical about me looking forward to own a "gigantic" bike as a beginner...but it was perfect...it was the perfect one for me ... So if you are looking for a fun, comfortable, easy to go with bike ...then Xpulse is the choice
I took the rtr 200 4v after test driving both rtr and hornet 2.0. I felt rtr to be more smoother than the hornet. Hornet started vibrating in the foot pegs and tank after 4.5k rpm while tvs was butter smooth in those ranges
It's a dualsport bike ... Adv bike is himalayan ... It's more than 160 kg it's an adv if it's less than 160 kg it's a dualsport ... If it's less than 100 kg .then dirt bike
I sat on the cb200x and the plastics/Fibre panels only made me think about how hard it would be to source those parts once honda drops this bike from its list or the bike gets too old in the market.. I own a cb dazzler which nobody remembers, but its a special bike to me. Bikes made of metal are needed not these cost cutting panels

One point you missed is our cities have so many broken roads. Can't do without a taller suspension. In fact, i picked the KTM 390 Adv, a bike with a tall suspension, because of the bad state of the roads in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
👍 Liked it.. honest review. New Xpulse with 4 valve is even better with 1 bhp and 1 nm more. Hero also has updated that the mid range and top end is improved with upgraded oil cooler, would run smoother and relaxed. Also with reworked seat contour, 21 percent bright headlight with just 5K price hike is even better and more value for money
Been nearly 2 years since bought 4V Xpulse. Nothing gets closer to achieving fun going to off-road. And its a very good bike for single bike garage. Would invest in Rally Kit when I would want to buy an other bike. But that would be a sport bike. There is no satisfactory bike for bad broken roads or no roads other than Xpulse once you ride it.
I think that has been the problem with Honda India since a very long time hasn't it...they kinda launch safe md outdated motorcycles here which will sell only bcoz of brand value but in terms of innovation when was the last time honda came up with sumthng that changed or atleast created some ripples in the motorcycling industry. Well its an easy choice outta these two...xpulse even if it was more expensive than the honda for me for the sheer fun it brings to u.
I own an xpulse...this is the best bike in today's market for the price and service and spare cost are cheap and in 1 hr service will be done in Bangalore. And gives 50+ mileage and finally i can take this bike anywhere
Between the xpulse and the cb200x I'd certainly pick the xpulse. But I've got to say this because you brought up the TVS 200: now, that's a well-designed bike with a great frame and engine and poor or inconsistent build quality. So, two years after you get your TVS, it begins to fall apart. Mine rusted away...
Objectively all the advantages of CB200X is in Hornet. Unless your really REALLY like the look of CB200X, I don't see a point on getting cb200x over hornet.
The awaited one video.. I have ridden xpulse 200 for long distance it is best when off-road but long distance tour the seat was bit uncomfortable... I waiting to try out cb200x maybe it'll fit me.. I'll mostly use for short rides to college etc and a weekend long ride ✨..I liked the xpulse 🔥🔥.only problem felt was seat ❄️
A hybrid Xpluse with ADV styling and 150kms of electric range with 80-90kmph for city commuting and 200cc of motor with 22 bhp and 20nm will be great for indian market 🔥

I feel the only question that comes to my mind is how much easy is The Xpulse on the basis of service network of Hero and maintanence cost of Xpulse. The Honda has an advantage over these points. Otherwise the Xpulse seems a better bike if these two points are improved.
Enfield thump at 7:05 :D .. and btw, who is gonna remember CB200x in 10 years :P nice one guys .. Honda will always be remembered for Activa .. thts what they prefer to sell in India.
Booked xpulse 4v , thanks for the Info guys!! It was really an eyeopener was going to go for cb200x , but now i've made the right choice, Weekend short rides and daily commute to office was on my mind.
You should ask these questions to Daily office commute people. Following are the 3 advantages for 200x 1. Pillion seat is big and wide sufficient for spouse 2. Tubeless types 3. Look and feel also better branding
Honda has such a massive inventory of bikes in its reserve - it could have easily brought in a genuine entry level ADV into India. But why didn’t it do that? Because Honda still believes we Indians are foolish to simple lap up a rebadged Hornet at a whopping 30k extra. Simply for this reason we should simple stay away from this dishonest bike
As a "city bike" (CB) the Honda is brilliant. For off roading it's the Xpulse. Highway (excluding off road), I'd go for Honda but wish it had a little more power.
PowerDrift, I really enjoy your content even though I don't live in India but nearby in Vietnam. I would choose the Hero Xpulse 200 hands down! The bike can have more functions (city, touring, adv, dirt) and has an upgrade path with the Rally Kit! I own a Honda CRF150L here in Vietnam and it does multiple roles. Hopefully, Xpulse w/Rally Kits will be available for rentals in India.

Well after looking at this comparison.. I think i would like to go with the Xpulse 200T
I own xpulse I love it
But T looks 😷 in my View bro
Xpluse only 🔥
Waiting ahead for XPULSE 2004V 🖖
I own an xpulse...this is the best bike in today's market for the price and service and spare cost are cheap and in 1 hr service will be done in Bangalore. And gives 50+ mileage and finally i can take this bike anywhere
I'm eagerly waiting for Xpulse 4V. Hope that it will improve the highway touring. Please compare it with Apache 200 4V l.
X pulse is an unbeatable legend of it's segment.
Being a xpulse owner, i have almost 6000km riding experience.....i can say its beast on highway, i just don't bother about road conditions....
I'd go for FZ25 instead of CB 200X for the same on road price 😆😆
Objectively all the advantages of CB200X is in Hornet. Unless your really REALLY like the look of CB200X, I don't see a point on getting cb200x over hornet.
The awaited one video..
I have ridden xpulse 200 for long distance it is best when off-road but long distance tour the seat was bit uncomfortable...
I waiting to try out cb200x maybe it'll fit me..
I'll mostly use for short rides to college etc and a weekend long ride ✨..I liked the xpulse 🔥🔥.only problem felt was seat ❄️
'Xpulse will be remembered' that the point 🤩
A hybrid Xpluse with ADV styling and 150kms of electric range with 80-90kmph for city commuting and 200cc of motor with 22 bhp and 20nm will be great for indian market 🔥
Xpulse definitely 💥 as always fabulous job guys. Hoping tosee some bike drags soon.
Without watching I can say xpulse will win
Feeling proud to be a rtr 200 owner. That bike brought smile on my face.
Watching for your comment. RTR all time fav.
Impulse at 8:55!
What are the odds that would happen!
Yeah, Powerdrift 👍👌👌
Really enjoyed the video....👍😌
Just waiting for Xpulse 4Valve version 🤩🤩
'Splendor' off-road and On road dual purpose bike, but proud to Owner of Xpulse Ofcourse..
Xpulse still 💪🔥Unbeatable 🖒
Can we prefer Xpulse for daily commuting and occasional touring??
Realistic review 💙 looking forward for the launch of Xpulse 200 4V and it's first ride review by PD 🔥
First of All, I must say this is how a comparo should be... Bang On
At the end of a Comparo, you can either be diplomatic or you can be PD, I mean if you dont pick a winner in a comparo, then why did you do a comparo to begin with
Thanks a lot for this, this is how you do it... Loved every second of this video
I feel the only question that comes to my mind is how much easy is The Xpulse on the basis of service network of Hero and maintanence cost of Xpulse. The Honda has an advantage over these points. Otherwise the Xpulse seems a better bike if these two points are improved.
The avg service cost of the xpulse is almost ₹900
Hero is present in every nook and corner of the country. The maintenance is cheap too. How does Honda have an advantage here? 😁
@@logicalidiot The quality of service that Honda gives is lot better than Hero at present. Generally the bikes sold by Hero are 100cc bikes.
Enfield thump at 7:05 :D .. and btw, who is gonna remember CB200x in 10 years :P nice one guys .. Honda will always be remembered for Activa .. thts what they prefer to sell in India.
I love this channel so much..Hats off for always being honest .Quality content👌🏻
200x haven't got the umph..
And no one's gonna remember this after 10 years. Well said
Xpulse anyday 💥❤️
Booked xpulse 4v , thanks for the Info guys!! It was really an eyeopener was going to go for cb200x , but now i've made the right choice, Weekend short rides and daily commute to office was on my mind.
Great comparison and loved the points that were discussed ❤️🔥🔥
You should ask these questions to Daily office commute people. Following are the 3 advantages for 200x
1. Pillion seat is big and wide sufficient for spouse
2. Tubeless types
Xpulse is also the second or third bike in so many garages! :P Best VFM bike in India atm...
Xpulse is better bike for sure, but I don't know why, Xpulse's looks not good to my eyes. I prefer 200x look on an Xpulse.
Whether the xpulse is best for commuter purpose?
First time watching your video..Perfect verdict on both motorcycles..!!
Which bike is best bro please tell
PowerDrift, I really enjoy your content even though I don't live in India but nearby in Vietnam. I would choose the Hero Xpulse 200 hands down! The bike can have more functions (city, touring, adv, dirt) and has an upgrade path with the Rally Kit! I own a Honda CRF150L here in Vietnam and it does multiple roles. Hopefully, Xpulse w/Rally Kits will be available for rentals in India.
Very blunt and honest review
Ended up buying the Xpulse 200 4v recently
Thanks for the review
Waiting for xpulse 4v with some technical update like switchable abs, hazard switch& re designed power headlight
With our bad roads in the cities, eg mumbai, Xpulse is actually the best city bike. Ask any Impulse owner, Best in the city, best in the mountains.
this could be the most honest comparison review ever with these two bikes so far. every nook and corner, every aspects are clear as water. proud xpulse owner anyways.
