I am so happy 🥰 you didn't play music on this video and let us hear the beautiful sounds 👂 of the GSM's along with the beautiful views 👀 of the Great Smoky. Mountains.👍
I hate to see those old cabins going down like that! People don't about history anymore! Thank you will and dawn for telling the history of those old homesteads!
I loved hearing the water, birds and the sounds of God's magnificent nature!! Thank you! And amen the pioneers most definitely had it rough. They worked so hard to make a life here! ❤
So exciting to see how things once were. So sad to see the disrespect shown to something others could enjoy. I love seeing the old homesteads, mills, farms, Churches, fencing, you do great highlighting these places. Get Dawn some pancakes! Love your shirts!
Thank you for showcasing the beautiful wildflowers.....loving your videos with your new equipment.....also thank you for not always putting music with the videos....I love hearing the sounds of nature and the streams.
Your camera work and your photography is amazing..all so beautiful..you truly make us feel we are right there taking every step with you..and thank you for that..I'm from Chattanooga but don't get to visit your town like I did in years past..
One of my favorite drives in the mountain no matter how many times you drive it you always see something new and interesting thanks for taking us along have a great week
I love the fact that these are my ancestors. My great grandparents cabin is the one that was moved from the Sugarlands to Roaring Fork Motor Trail. I am proud of my heritage, and so was my mother. She passed last November and I took her to Levi Trentham (from south Georgia) to bury her ashes. She always wanted to go home. She is now "home", and laid to rest with her mother and grandparents.
I know I'm the odd ball in the YITS Family. Most people like the restaurant reviews, but me; give me nature! I like your hiking videos the best. The waters, flowers, trees, living things, etc... The long ago man made things. I'll take this over the restaurant and hotel reviews everytime! It's not that I don't like those other videos, but this... 🥰😍❤️
Look! the snail 🐌... is chasing those nuts🥜 😂😂 love💕 that whimsical gate...Beautiful footage Will...the wildflowers🌷🌼🌾 are everywhere! 🤗 love💕 the glow of those 🍯🍯 honey jars in the window with the 🌞sunshine shining thru them😊...Thanks for sharing this Beautiful spring day with us all🌾🤗👍
Thanks for allowing us to enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains when we can’t be there. I loved that you highlighted the nature that we sometimes overlook. The flowers were beautiful and the sounds of the flowing waters was relaxing. Thanks for the time you take to share these videos with us! Tell Dawn thanks as well!
BEAUTIFUL!! The water is just calling to be sat by and relax. Springtime is here! Feel like going at the snails pace out there. Everyone needs a little slow down and enjoy time. Life goes too fast
A great trail. I would like to have a chair by the water and just sit and listen to it as long as I wanted to. So relaxing. Can't wait for more videos. Thanks
We drove this trail last November (2021) in my big Acura MDX - it was SCARY in some parts! Absolutely gorgeous, with great mountain vistas and scenery. Even saw a mama bear and her two cubs. There were many sharp, narrow turns with steep drop offs. I told my wife that although it was worth it, once was probably enough. LOL
Now that was really beautiful.. I loved the waterfalls.... also the cabins,, often have to wonder what they would tell you if they could talk..😊,, Thanks for taking us along..👍💟
Thank you for another great video today. I truly have memories from my childhood spending Sunday afternoons in Cherokee orchards with my grand parents in summer and I love the spring time there, so peaceful. I usually go late evenings or early mornings to see the deer and bears. Hope you had a great day there. Love you guys.
It breaks my heart to see our heritage destroyed by the disrespect and destruction done to our ancestors homes. Wish people would respect our parks and beauty of them, so people can come and see and enjoy our heritage.
Both my husband and I put this on our TV screen and watched. Such beautiful videos of the falls, flowers, snail, cabins and everything. We love watching you. You feel like family!
Your video brought back some pleasant memories. I lived in Knoxville from 1952 to 1977 then moved to Dallas for work. We had a house in the old Assembly Grounds (later called Mynatt Park) and we used to fall asleep at night to the sound of the creek just a few yards from our cabin. I remember that area before the tennis courts, the basketball court, the covered picnic area, and the ball field. I even remember when Pigeon Forge just had a couple of blinking traffic lights on our way to Gatlinburg. Thanks for sharing your video.
And that is why my great grandparent's cabin was moved to Roaring Fork. Because people were vandalizing it when it was in the Sugarlands. Some people have zero respect.
Roaring Fork and Cades Cove are my 2 favorite places to drive through while visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!! My husband and I enjoyed watching your videos together. He passed away last month. We were married 48 years. I am not sure if and when I will be able to visit there again. I will continue to watch your videos! They bring back good memories of my time there with my husband!
Wow - such a great video with the sights and sounds of the Smokies. The wildflowers were beautiful. Thanks for the ride. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is one of our absolute favorite drives. We missed it this year since we came in mid February and it was still closed. Thanks again - loved it.
Will you do such a wonderful job with your video work in your photography picking out the beauty of nature. And then you add such beautiful music that matches its just perfectly. And dawn you are quite the helpmate for your husband. My husband does photography also and I know how much patience it takes to wait for them to get the right shot and help them with their gear and be there just to be sure they stay safe. God-bless you for helping your husband so much . Look forward to say more videos keep up the beautiful work.😍😍😍😍❤❤
I’ve only been able to take the motor trail once. We normally visit in March when is off season for it. I really enjoyed it the one time we went in august.
Wonderful video. Thank you guys for sharing. I love the waterfalls an sounds. So peaceful. The wildflowers was awesome. We usually got on the fall, but we hope to go in May to see the wildflowers. This motor trail is my favorite goto place in the Smokies. Thanks again for the awesome video. Happy journeys. 👍🏻🥾🥾🐻🙏
The road going to rainbow falls is actually Cherokee orchard road that will loop around and take you back to Gatlinburg roaring fork motor nature trail is a completely different road and it's one way for 11 miles Thank's Nico
Loved this video ! One of our favorite things to do while visiting the Smokies. The flowers are beautiful already, so peaceful & quiet on that drive .. just love it !! Thanks for sharing😊
Beautiful video! Thanks for all the nice images of spring flowers. Also thanks for reminding us to think about the lives, joys, and challenges of the people who inhabited that area. I bet neighbors were really close to each other and highly valued. I never knew about this loop but will put it on the list for next trip. About how much time does it take?
Beautiful day trip! Thank you for sharing this adventure with us. The water is so soothing. I am so glad to have found such a sweet couple to keep me updated on the Smokey Mountains.
I believe it's stop #1 as you're going up was a pine/maple forest that was heavily burned by the 2016 fire. My girls and I like to stop there and walk through to see how the forest is healing itself. Last summer the young pine and maple trees were getting big.
Thank you will and Dawn you guys have done a wonderful job showing the Great Smoky mountains today I love how you did the motor trail and you stopped along the way to show some of the greatest cabins and other scenery thank you very much your friend John chalker Waterbury Connecticut you're the greatest CC ❤️❤️🌹🌹🇺🇲🇺🇲👢👒🎩🥾🦋🙏🙏🎪🎪
You guy's are great! Keep up the fantastic videos you have inspired my wife and I to visit next month. Your videos really capture the wonderful sights and sounds of the mountains. Dawn needs to do more narrating. God bless and keep the great videos coming. Hope to see you guys around for a selfie.
Hi Will and Dawn ! Love Dawns hat ! Looks good on you ! Thanks for sharing your day out on the driving trail. That's one of our favorite must do things when we are able to visit The smoky mountains. Have a great weekend ! 🙋💕🤓🤗
I was noticing the Michigan (and NY) plates. I took a trip to Atlanta in 2017 camping down and back. At every single place I stopped, whether it been Chattanooga or Erwin or Berea I met people who either from Michigan or who had immediate family there. On the AT on the NC/TN border a couple stopped me, mentioned they saw my MI plates and asked where I was from. I put up my right hand and pointed to the right spot and she put her hand up and over mine to tell me they were from the UP.
Good Morning Will and Dawn 😃 What a beautiful place. I was debating walking upon the mountain today after watching your video i know I am. That old mill is awesome. Someone sure put a lot of work into making that gate. Loved Roaring Fork Auto Trail. Thanks for another awesome video, God bless youns and have a wonderful day!
Love this trail. Thanks for sharing your journey on opening day! Loved the pictures of the flowers and waterfalls in 4K. It’s a shame what has happened to some of the cabins.
I wish there could be better security at these beautiful landmarks. GSMNP doesn't have to keep these structures up. They could let them got to pot, then nobody can could enjoy. Wish people would 😪 wake up.
I stated earlier that it is a government offence to deface national park property. I knew that growing. Either people don't know that or don't care. They need to put signs up where these historical buildings are to tell people not to deface them or they could be fined and or face jail time.
@@nancyk4595 I would say don't care. I don't need a sign to tell me not to mark up a historical building or a restroom. It's wrong no matter what. People know better.
One of my favorites and yes it's a real shame to see all the disrespect given to the historic dwellings and structures. Unfortunate sign of the times that we need to correct quickly. We have a responsibility to those who once lived in that area to take care of it, at least that's my opinion. Great video Will and Dawn!
Beautiful video. Thanks so much for sharing. The photography is perfect and it shows that you put a lot of time in this video. Can’t wait to visit this area. 🙂
great video guys, i be there in May! love the sounds of running water!! what camera you use Will? go pro? DLSR? or dedicated video camera? I do photography and you have some very nice videos. just curious.

I never knew about this loop but will put it on the list for next trip. About how much time does it take?
It depends on what the traffic is like you can do it at least in two hours
It is so beautiful there! Great video as always. So glad it is spring so we can enjoy your trail adventures. Thanks for sharing👍❤️
