Wow all I can say is WOW. That is the most Beautiful video yet. All I want to do is pack a few things throw it in the car and drive up there. I want to sit on a rock and take in the beauty of the Smokey Mountains and Pegion Forge. To me it's the most beautiful place on earth.. I miss it so much. I wish I had the money to get away for 1 or 2 nites but I don't. I just lost my last parent and iam the only child . I'am 65 years old but I feel. My daddy would have loved to go but he was 97. But I tell you he would have wanted to go hiking. I showed him your video and his face would lite up. I remenber the.day before he died in the hospital., he told me he wanted to get out of the hospital and get me and him and our dog and go up to the Smokey Mountains and sit there an take in the beauty. Maybe that's where he is right now..you think?

I remember the drive to Cherokee. My husband and I stayed in Cherokee on one of our 4 trips to the Smokies. I really love the mountains!! Thanks for sharing!!

and they do. That mill is so beautifully crafted and so industriously made. It is a work of art. I never had visited. In younger days we would just go blazing
Iby heading for
Gatlinburg or the bottom of the Chimneys looking for chipmunks and bear jams. Mingus mill is definitely worth a stop.
When we visit Gatlinburg.(which is normally fairly often) we always go thru Cherokee and Maggie valley. I love it. We have stop at roadside markets, a couple stores, a special restaurant, and OTHER little roadside places.

We were above the clouds at Clingman's Dome this summer. On my middle daughter's first trip when she was seven, and she's 22 now, we stopped at Newfound Gap and I showed her the pictures of FDR dedicating the park. She was very excited going up on the overlook since she was able to stand where the president had once given a speech. We still have fun with that story.

Thank you so much for the fantastic ride of the Smokies. The ride thru Gatlinburg was good. Got to see some of the businesses along the Parkway. Then it was the road thru the National Park. Stopped at Chimney Tops and hiked some. The river was gorgeous. So was the flowers that you took too. Newfound Gap was awesome. It was so cool with the clouds going over. Even said that you drove under the clouds. Then it was down on the North Carolina side. Stopped at the mill. It was interesting learning how the mill grinds the grain. You finally ended in Cherokee. As I said earlier, the route was totally awesome!
Oh, one more thing I need to add. It doesn’t pertain to the route. Will, I love your goatee. You look so cool. Don’t try to shave it!! LOL 🙂😉😂😂

When you leave Pigeon Forge and you get that first view of the water running as you head toward Gatlinburg, you know you're entering a magical place. :)
