Loved your reviews! A great list for vacationers. My wife and I love the great Smokies and surrounding areas! We have been vacationing there several times. We have really enjoyed the Old Mill restaurant our first time there and returned again this last year! We are from the Indianapolis area and stayed in Sevierville last year. We really enjoyed the city and everyone we spoke with were very friendly. We visited and enjoyed Holstons Kitchen's food, service, and atmosphere! On our first visited, we were pleased to find out the special dinner for the evening was Prime Rib. We set at a nice private table and the prime rib was excellent. Two nights later we returned and the place was packed. Perhaps because we had arrived later than our earlier first visit. We chose to set and eat in the bar area and quickly got a table. Once again the food and service were excellent and if we return to Sevierville we will definitely visit this restaurant again! Thank you for your list, we will try some new places from it!

I love the peddler have been going almost 40 years in Galtinburg and never had anything but a beautiful meal with above average service. Don’t think it’s there anymore.
We’re with you - We used to love Damon’s. They also had one right when you entered Gatlinburg coming in from the Spur, close to the Appy. They have a Damons in South Carolina but most of them have sadly closed down.

We absolutely LOVED this video, great job putting together the ultimate list of “must have’s” in the area. I also know how much work goes into putting together a video like this, but it looks and sounds fantastic. Definitely give yourselves a pat on the back for all the great work you do!
We agree and we’re so glad to hear that you love it too! Honestly, it’s the best we’ve probably had in TN. The catfish houses in Nashville and in between are all okay, but Paw Paw’s has the best.
Great review and I liked you had a few others mentioned along with the top 10. I just moved to Newport a month ago so I will be adding a number of these to my bucket list. 😊 one place in Newport that will get a lot of repeat business from me is Hillbilly's Smoky Mountain Diner. An all you can eat Texas BBQ place. The brisket and spare ribs are very good. Lots of sides to choose from including a salad bar and fruit bar. They are only open Friday through Sunday.
Welcome to Tennessee!! That's so exciting. That sounds like our kind of place. We may have to check that one out very soon. Thanks for letting us know about Hillbilly's Smoky Mountain Diner. The salad and fruit bar sounds like a good addition too - you don't see that too often at BBQ places. Thanks for letting us know about this place and we'll definitely put it on our list of places to try. We hope that you have a nice weekend, Dennis.
Hi. Would you be able to do a favorite list of non chain restaurants ( like Chubby’s in Sevierville)? My husband and I LOVE to go to these hole-in- the-wall restaurants!!! I know that the decor isn’t the finest, but if we have excellent service and food, then we will most likely return to that restaurant(s). And what about restaurants that feature what Gentry and Henry love the most. The kid perspective on what they really enjoyed would be a REALLY big asset to families with small children. I feel that there are A LOT of kids that get left out of eating out decisions and they should also have a say in what restaurant they want to go to. Just a couple of ideas to consider!!! Have a great day and also a great video!!!
That’s a great idea. We can definitely consider a “Mom and Pop” restaurant list. None of the restaurants mentioned in this video are chains. With the exception of Tennessee Jed’s (with 2 locations in Gatlinburg) and eventually Pinchy’s, all of the top 10 are 1 of a kind and independently owned. They’re all independently owned. The boys also played a role in deciding which restaurants we chose for this video. Thanks for watching and thanks again for sharing your ideas. We will definitely take those into consideration for ideas for upcoming videos.
I agree, Cherokee Grill is very good. Peddlers is a tourist trap and overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately most people don’t know what quality food is.
Our favorite time to go to Gatlinburg is the first week in January! No crowds, no traffic, no waiting, Christmas lights are still on, and we have the whole place to ourselves. We can stay in downtown Gatlinburg for $150 total for 5 nights too! Cades Cove & the Dome are empty & beautiful too. We're going Jan 5-10th. Can't wait.
@@solotraveler3 You will love it during that time of the year. The weather is perfect and if you go in late October, the leaves are starting to change too. Enjoy!
@@irwingreen7764 we second this comment. This is solid advice. January is an amazing time to visit (except MLK weekend has been very busy the past 2 or 3 years). You can also get some great BOGO deals Monday through Thursday at many restaurants since it’s the slow season. You can even get buy one, get one free steaks at Alamo.
I've been going to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg since 1983 my self and my wife and i since 2001 and the Old Mill and the Pottery House Restaurant's for us are way high on the list then 10th place. 👍🇺🇸
Hello. We just subscribed about 2 months ago, and your channel is officially our new favorite! We love you, your wife, and Gentry, but we have to admit that Henry is our favorite! That kid should be on television, lol. BTW, on your Top 10 list of favorite restaurants, you forgot to list a Mexican. We are visiting Gatlinburg in November, so can you please list your favorite Mexican restaurant so we can add it to our iternary. Thanks,.Bruce and Kim Wiggins from Saint Johns, FL.
JT Hannah’s is my go to in pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg is Cherokee grill. Recently went to timberwood grill at the island in pigeon forge and it was amazing. Best ribs I’ve ever had and the potato crispers as an appetizer were delicious.

Wow what a great job on this video. I think it was as good as anything that the Food Network would put out. All of your channel videos are good but this was fantastic the way you put it together. I think you are right on in the order you put the restaurants in. Now we have not been to all of them yet but we would like to visit all of them.
Thank you, Steve and Veronica! That is such a kind compliment and we're glad that y'all enjoyed it. We enjoy your videos as well and hope that y'all have an amazing weekend.
A Sevier County gem is Mama Mia’s in Seymour. Great food and service without the tourist hype. It’s on 441 which is a beautiful drive out of Sevierville toward Knoxville.
We have been to Gatlinburg a couple of time recently with two other couples. Ive not seen any of these restaurants, but we will look fo them next time. Im saving this video for future reference!
Brent, you're making me hungry! That cinnamon roll looked so yummy and delicious and so did the catfish! I'll never win the lottery but, I'll just keep on dreaming! Really enjoyed your video
Thank you, Carla! Their catfish is so delicious, but they really don't miss with any of their offerings. The cinnamon roll is huge but it's not very sweet. Some people like that, but we like sweet cinnamon rolls. We hope that you're having a wonderful start to your weekend, Carla.
Applewood lost our debit card after picking it up from the table. They never found it and pressed us to figure out another method of payment. We had to call our bank and cancel the card. I don't remember how we paid for the meal.
Sadly, there was no mention of Don Marcos in Sevierville just in front of Lowe’s. Stumbled across it one day and was AMAZED! American, Mexican and Italian but the burgers and fresh hot garlic bread knots before your meal will tell ya why you stopped. Affordable as well. Do yourself a favor and stop in on your way to hectic traffic and long lines. You’ll get great food and service. As Emeril would say, BAM!! It truly rocks.
We’re sorry to inform you that Don Marcos has gone out of business. We were very familiar with it. Some great restaurants have recently shut down in the area and this is one of them.
Have you ever eaten at "Three Jimmy's Good Time Eatery" in Gatlinburg? I went for the first time this past May and had the "Got the Blues" burger and it was sooooo good! I got a side of cheese fries with it and it was the best cheese fries i ever had! Finally got to go back this past Wednesday and it was just as good!
You would love the horseradish crusted steak at Alamo. The Alamo is one of our favorites but when they're having an off day, it's really off - but on their good days, it's amazing!! We hope that you're able to try some deept fried deviled eggs soon. They're so good! Thank you for watching, Candace! We hope that you have an amazing weekend.
I love your videos and watch them all. I was with you until the Pizza Rio. My family are huge pizza people but was not overall impressed. I would go with West by God personally any day. I do enjoy the Local Goat, Blue Moose, Paula Dean's, and always the Pigeon Forge deli. Plus had some great wings at the Brewery
Thank you, Chad! We are with you and actually enjoy West By God's pizza more, but the service has been lacking (or non-existent) during our last couple of visits there. The other restaurants that you mentioned are all amazing too. We'll have to check out the wings at the brewery the next time we're there. We hope that you have an excellent weekend!
I have been a Pigeon Forge resident for many years and I have never been inside even one of those restaurants. I have head good things about lunch at the Old Mill, though.
Thank you, Michael! There's a lot of amazing restaurants to choose from in the Smokies for sure. We appreciate you and hope that you're having an amazing start to your weekend.
Ok Brett and Jennifer 😊 you made me hungry. Hospital food is actually terrible and I sure could go for the fish and sweet tea 😊. Great video and very informative. I always look forward to your positive experiences. Have a blessed weekend 😊.
The trout house if it's still there , I ate the Dwight D. Eisenhower trout that was part of the cousine. I remember the wonderful pancakes there at Gatlinburg.
Seasons 101 in downtown Sevierville is fabulous. Many of your picks are more family oriented as you're a family but our family is grown so our favorites are a little different. The new LeConte Tapas Grill is awesome, as is Azul, and the Cherokee in Gatlinburg. Long lines don't lie and they vote for Pancake Pantry, Crockett's Breakfast Camp, Local Goat, Old Mill, and the Peddler Steakhouse. If it's super crowded everywhere head to downtown Sevierville and try Seasons 101, Trotter's, or the Appalachian. There are more locals and far less tourists but fabulous food. Stop at Red's too for a banana split while you're there. Lol
Those are some great picks, Irwin! We’ve tried all of the restaurants that you’ve mentioned except for Seasons 101 and the Tapas Grill. We agree that all of those that you mention are excellent options except our family was not fond of Trotters. We are willing to give every restaurant a 2nd chance but we all felt sick after eating there, the service was not great, and most of the food was cold. We also semi-agree about your thoughts on the the long lines, but long lines can be created based on good marketing (engaging brochures at the hotels, etc.) and a good location (convenience and visibility). The Peddler is not bad but we believe it’s popular due to its location. All of the other ones have shut down in our state but this one remains open due to its location, views, and scarcity of other great competition with steakhouses. Another example of where long lines don’t equate to the best is the Pancake Pantry. They have the lowest overall rating between Log Cabin Pancake House, Little House of Pancakes, and Crocketts on Google reviews….again, it’s a long line, but it’s convenient. We’ll definitely have to give Tapas and Seasons 101 a try soon. @irwingreen7764
I agree about Seasons 101. I had lunch there on a weekday, and it was terrific! A great place to get away from the chaos of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge for a relaxing afternoon lunch. It could be a splurge restaurant for dinner, but prices were reasonable for an enjoyable lunch, and service was top notch! I spoke with a couple there who are locals that drive from Knoxville to enjoy the restaurant.
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV We've been going to Gatlinburg since 1977 on our Honeymoon & one day we got up early & there was a line over a block long for The Pancake Pantry so its long lines aren't from marketing, it's word of mouth advertising. I disagree about the Peddler too and from the reviews by other vloggers you may be on an island by yourself on that one. Lol. Trotter's just announced they're closing except for catering so that one took care of itself. Seasons 101 may be less family oriented but the food, service, & atmosphere are outstanding and really their pricing is very reasonable for the area. Have you guys ever done a Chubby's review? Very interesting restaurant! Lol.
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV If you go to LeConte Tapas make sure you get some of the appetizers and especially the Short Rib Arancini! One of our favorite meals was when we just ordered 4 of their appetizers! (And Seasons 101 has a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries & dip plus fresh fruit that is awesome!)

@@davidburris6237 hi David. It seems as if you are confusing our channel with someone else’s. We always show our receipts in our videos and have turned down every free meal offered to us. We do that so we can provide an unbiased review without being bought. We’re glad to hear that you’ve had great experiences at The Peddler. We never said that we have had a bad experience, we just think it doesn’t live up the hype. We completely disagree that the steaks are of the same caliber as Ruth’s Chris. I remember Duffs well. There was one in Knoxville too. Yes the hurricane cake was one of the best I've eaten.
We absolutely LOVED this video, great job putting together the ultimate list of “must have’s” in the area. I also know how much work goes into putting together a video like this, but it looks and sounds fantastic. Definitely give yourselves a pat on the back for all the great work you do!
Paw Paw's Catfish! When we day trip this is our lunch destination. We order catfish of course, Best In the Smokies!!
We agree and we’re so glad to hear that you love it too! Honestly, it’s the best we’ve probably had in TN. The catfish houses in Nashville and in between are all okay, but Paw Paw’s has the best.
The Old Mill was always one of my favorites.
Best Italian: Roma Table (Sevierville across from Walmart) Incredible meatballs, sauces, and pasta! Love the budini and gelato too!
@@shannondawson4031 we agree! It’s such an incredible Italian restaurant and a great addition to the area.
Pizzeria of Gatlinburg and Pankcake Pantry are my favorite
Those are both excellent choices for some good meals.
We go to Gatlinburg every year and love The Alamo. Thanks for the advice
Headed to pigeon forge in 2-weeks, thanks for the good content!
We hope that you have an awesome time here in Tennessee! Thanks for your kind words.
Glad to see the Applewood Farmhouse on your list. I always make a trip there anytime I am in the area.
Everything looked delicious 😋
Wow.. what a great video. I'm not sure I could pick a top or a favorite. There are so many great places to eat. You guys have a great week.
Thank you! We really appreciate that. We're with you - there are just too many great options in the area. We hope that you have an amazing weekend.
Cherokee grill is the best steak I've had up there. It is perfection.
Their prosperity steaks are pretty good.
I agree, Cherokee Grill is very good. Peddlers is a tourist trap and overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately most people don’t know what quality food is.
@Troutcenter the peddler is alright. It was a pretty good steak but not as good as Cherokee.
I'm gonna try " the greenbrier" next month while I'm there.
Terrific and helpful video. I'm a new convert to the Smokies with my first trip in December ('23) and planning a two week trip in October.
You might want to check out what the mayor ,his brother and city council just did to the case family 😮
Very currupt!!!
I've been going to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg since 1983 my self and my wife and i since 2001 and the Old Mill and the Pottery House Restaurant's for us are way high on the list then 10th place. 👍🇺🇸
@scpatriot5270 We didn’t mention it in the video, but the numbers were in no particular order, just our top 10.
Wow! I somehow missed this video. It seems a lot of folks enjoyed it! I love all of your videos, but this one was exceptional!
Great video! Our latest favorite is Pizza Rio - we went and had a lovely anniversary brunch after watching one of your videos.
So embarrassing I misspelled itinerary lol!
The Old Mill......without a doubt!!!
Thanks so much, great video!
JT Hannah’s is my go to in pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg is Cherokee grill. Recently went to timberwood grill at the island in pigeon forge and it was amazing. Best ribs I’ve ever had and the potato crispers as an appetizer were delicious.
@@seanfirestone4472 this are all great restaurants! We’ve been to the Timberwood Grill several times but have never tried their ribs. We’ll have to try those out next time. Thanks for commenting and for watching.
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV yes sir, great video. I’m pretty local myself and spend a lot of time up there too.
Im very hungry now cuz your video did it again but very informative about the different cusines around ty very much bon appetti and cheers have a wonderful weekend and 4th of July sending tons of support hugs love and paw power 😊
Love watching you and the family try new restaurants. I haven't been to Gatlinburg in years. But you definitely pointed me in the right direction when I venture back. Thank you. God Bless 🙏
Old Mill and Huck's are a couple of go to places that are consistent.
I have lived in the area for my entire life (over 60 years now) and I have not tried most of these. Work to do!
I'm glad that they are offering refills on the meatballs at Pizza Rio now. When we were there, they did not.
Love this video… saving it for my next vacation!
Thank you, Kathy! We appreciate that and hope that you have a nice weekend.
This is such a great video, guys!! Many we need to try, thanks for the suggestions!
Thank you, @NatashaVentures We appreciate that and we hope that y'all are having a great weekend.
We are going back to Gatlinburg in August and are looking for new places to try. THANK YOU
Brent, you're making me hungry!
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV You're welcome! Thank you, I am! And hope you are as well.
Applewood lost our debit card after picking it up from the table. They never found it and pressed us to figure out another method of payment. We had to call our bank and cancel the card. I don't remember how we paid for the meal.
Ooh. That wouldn’t have made me happy at all. I doubt I’d have paid for it since they lost it. You’re probably way nicer than I am
The Trout House is awesome.
A great choice!
If you like English pub food try the Fox and Parrot. Go there every time we visit Gatlinburg.
Yeah, but the new owner is producing great food. 👍
I love, love the Old Mill. ❤
Great video! Our favorite is Best Italian in Gatlinburg ❤
A great choice! They have some excellent food.
My husband and I really loved the Trout House in Gatlinburg. Trout, trout and more trout on the menu. Near Zoder's. Is it still there?
Ha, love me some food reviews so you know I have an opinion. :) Would like to visit Cherokee Grill, Preacher's BBQ, Mama Mia's Italian, Pizza Rio
We loved this so much! Such a professionally made video. You definitely chose some excellent restaurants for your top ten. Excellent job!👏
And yet another wonderful video everything looked wonderful I love you guys have a great weekend ❤️😊
Thank you so much, Lori! We appreciate you so much and thank you for your kind comments. We hope that you have an excellent weekend.

Ok Brett and Jennifer 😊 you made me hungry. Hospital food is actually terrible and I sure could go for the fish and sweet tea 😊. Great video and very informative. I always look forward to your positive experiences. Have a blessed weekend 😊.

Great video,Thank you. I'm coming in The end of July, So your video was so helpful.
Very comprehensive thanks fir the video
The trout house if it's still there , I ate the Dwight D. Eisenhower trout that was part of the cousine. I remember the wonderful pancakes there at Gatlinburg.
We’re locals, and the Greenbrier is our favorite
Nicely done😊
Sawyers Farmhouse, Blue Moose and Best Italian Restaurant
Those are all solid choices! Thanks for watching, @crazybaby418. We hope that you have a great weekend.
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV You guys too
Seasons 101 in downtown Sevierville is fabulous.
@@jefferywood5534 Thank you, Jeffery! We will definitely have to check out Seasons 101 soon. We hope that you're having an excellent weekend.
Y'all are starving me to death 😂. Thanks for sharing. We head out soon for the mountains on a girls getaway. The Old Mill is on our list of places for dinner!
We wanted to eat at the old mill restaurant but there was NO parking to be found that day for lunch!I was so disappointed. We did eat at Huck Finns,it was ok.This was after leaving the old mill paring lot.
I love Sun Liner Diner!
Always great food and a fun themed diner.
Delauders is always our first stop 😁
That's a great way to kick off your vacation. It's such a great place!
We like the mill restaurant but it gets crowded sometimes.
Thank you for the video!
Thank you, AR Glover! We hope that you have an excellent weekend.
My friend and I got severe food poisoning at Cherokee grill in Gatlinburg🤣 food tasted great though
We’re so sorry to hear this. What a bummer. The Cherokee Grill didn’t make our personal top 10 but we enjoyed our meals there. You should check out The Greenbrier on your next trip.
Thank you, that was amazing!
WOW! We have eaten at the Peddler MANY times without a single bad experience - their steaks are up there with the Ruth place. Never been “underwhelmed.” Did they not provide a free meal for your review?
@@davidburris6237 hi David. It seems as if you are confusing our channel with someone else’s. We always show our receipts in our videos and have turned down every free meal offered to us. We do that so we can provide an unbiased review without being bought. We’re glad to hear that you’ve had great experiences at The Peddler. We never said that we have had a bad experience, we just think it doesn’t live up the hype. We completely disagree that the steaks are of the same caliber as Ruth’s Chris. If you don’t even know the name of Ruth’s Chris, we find it difficult to believe that you can accurately compare the two and we found that very comical. We mentioned in our video that these are our subjective opinions just as it’s okay to have your opinion that you think it’s just as good as “Ruth place.” Thanks for watching 👍
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV No, no confusion. More of a joke. I really didn’t figure any respectful eateries would provide a meal for a good review. If they have to do that, they would not be opened for long. Thanks for your reviews. This is the first one I have seen and have eaten at most of the places you mentioned. But, we have not eaten at the Greenbrier. It will be on the top of our list to try next.
@@davidburris6237we think that you’ll really enjoy Greenbrier. Just like the Peddler, the reservations fill up quickly. We hope that you have a great experience there if you end up trying it.
