Because of your videos I gave Speedpaint a try and I'm very happy with it. Now my tomb kings are painted with pallid bone, too and slaughter red is also used. Many thanks.
Thank you! I would love to see the entire army together. Same for your HQ-Stuff. Maybe it's too much of a challenge, but can you make a HeroQuest let's play, Sir? best
I will be making a whole lot of HQ and Old World gaming content. My intention is to live stream some HQ with the good guys being controlled live by you folks. I have to work out the logistics first however.
Even though I have no interest in Warhammer (Emperor forgive my heresy!) I still watched the whole video with pleasure. Just waiting on an opportunity to grab AP's Speedpaints now and get started myself - I have a bunch of board game minis ready to get some flavor :)
Lol, I had to go back and check, I thought you left the belly plates white so you could paint them gold and i thought 'why bother, you wont see them' but I finally realized that you didnt even bother painting them black for exactly that reason :)
Almost correct lol. I painted them with a coat of nuln oil and they went slightly grey. It was subtle and as you state pointless as they cannot be seen even if you try. I also forgot to film that part and in the end it made no difference
Thank you again for the videos. This has arrived right on time for me as I'm waiting for my scorpion to arrive that I won on ebay. This one doesn't have the mummy on the back though. Were there variations to the model between editions? Keep up the great videos, looking forward to the gaming content 👍
To be honest the only one I am familiar with has the open casket thing on the back. They quite probably did make another model. No mummy/liche/deadguy means even easier to paint. Also keep your eye out for more at a reasonable price as two or three in an army should be very possible and probably ideal.
I really like the silver and the gold. The bronze is kind of meh! I will pick up the others at some point but the broadsword silver and the hoplite gold are great colours
Yes the ak material takes a few hours to dry so you have plenty of time. You are supposed to use it straight from the pot but to my eyes it is far too fine a grain and you can’t tell that it is sand. However there are folks who can make it look fantastic with some paint work. I just cheat :)
Again a nice result. Probably more time spent waiting for the paint to dry than actually painting thanks to Speed Paint and the relative simplicity of the model? Ha ha!

That is fantastic to hear. You will be the envy of many grey plastic owning gamers :)
Thanks for the video! Very helpful
Picking up a scorpion or two soon myself, thanks for the vids!
Definitely recommend at least two if you can get them.
Thank you!

Hopefully I can give you some ideas even if it's painting different miniatures. Thanks for watching :)
The description of assembling these is 100% correct haha
It was a very bad design for a metal model. The stuff of nightmares lol. I hope the resin version is easier, it should be
Awesome video 👍
Thank you for continuing to watch and leave comments. Your Ork on a Rock video is very cool, gonna do something similar for my Casket of Souls

Would you recommend the speedpaint metallics?

👍🏻
Thanks for watching
Was the sand added to the base while the AK Sand material was still wet?

Is this the metal or resin tomb scorpion?
It’s a metal one

Indeed, no excuse not to have a few of these in an army (apart from trying to get them lol)
