Well done JJ. You've done yourself proud, just like Eddie. Heads must roll at Adelaide, the AFL, and the AFLPA. That training camp crap that came out at the time disgusted me the first time around. This just makes me sick at the thought of those responsible covering this up.

The tragedy is that it'll be more believed and taken seriously now that Josh has spoken out. Eddie is a warrior for refusing to be silent, and he did it knowing he would cop pushback, vitriol, and trolling, especially because he is Indigenous. I am glad Josh has spoken out too.

As a senior mental health consultant I cant think of much that is more harmful psychologically than what they did to you and Eddy, totally unethical, unprofessional and not based on any medical science i know of? If any of the practitioners are registered with AHPRA they need to be reported, and I would be getting legal advice immediately. To me its sounds like there was a need for some at the Club to want to punish and humiliate you for losing that grandfinal, Sue them.
Strong AFL clubs rely on trust between teammates, coaches and staff. How could anyone think that breaching the players trust in such a way (using personal info on Betts, Jenkins and probably others) would lead to a positive outcome? I felt ill after reading Eddies bit the other day and this is just as bad.

The camp was cult-like, dysfunctional, toxic, brainwashing and abusive. It shouldn't have happened. It's crazy that anyone thought it was a good idea. Shame on those at Adelaide, the AFL, and elsewhere that condoned and covered this up. Thank you Eddie and Josh for speaking out.

Well done boys for opening this disgraceful event.The person who came up with this idea and the people who implemented it plus the so called investigation agencies must be make responsible and punished.The acts reported don’t necessarily make them stronger but may possibly open old memories and break them.A very sad situation that hopefully will never take place again.I hope more players can find the strength to also come out is support of Eddie and JJ.
I look forward to Mark Ricciuto saying he hopes Josh has moved on as the club has. MR is running out of places to hide, and his bogan triple M mates can only protect him from accountability for so long.

The camp was psychologically harmful it was Totally unprofessional and unethical. To do that sort of stuff properly, you would have to prep people until you felt they were equipped with the psychological resiliency and psychological defenses, believing they are fully prepped to undergo such aversive conditioning. Also with a whole lot of back-up support, before you start to hit them with their greatest vulnerabilities. It's more a military technique to screen out those that lack resiliency for an extreme war environment or to train military people to tolerate torture rather than a resiliency building program for elite sportsmen. My guess it was Ex-Military that ran the program rather than mental health professionals. Amateur hour at the Club management level and inappropriately qualified Camp facilitators.
