The AFC and AFL failed not just Eddie, but every player who was subjected to psychological abuse on that camp. It’s great to see Eddie speak out, sad that meaningful action was never taken.

Lol, he literally says it wasn't just about the aboriginal players and then Robbo's next question focuses only on the aboriginal players and that the issue was only with aboriginal players. I guess making it specifically about only aboriginal players gets more clicks, views and news.

I hope other players come out and speak the truth, not just Jenkins and Betts. I remember the way Tex harangued a few players publicly when they left the club, particularly Jake Lever, getting really personal and implying he was a weak person because he wanted a trade and bigger money elsewhere. You don't need to wonder why now. This was right before the camp but I'd be surprised if the trade didn't have something to do with Walker's and other leaders' attitudes towards what they considered to be mutiny in the ranks. Either way, Walker is in no way fit to be a leader of any sort and it just shows what poor decisions the club made in the first place making him captain, sanctioning a camp like this, and then his blatant racism that came out a few seasons after all these other Crows had left the club. You only have to look at Walker's performance in the 2017 Grand Final, and more importantly his body language and attitude when things weren't going their way, to know what sort of 'leader' he is, backed by mates like Ricciuto who every time he opens his mouth on these issues you see why things went so south.

We arent talking about a tough training session and pushing it physically and players being soft. We are talking about intentional psychological abuse towards players. You clearly are out of touch when discussing this and have no experience when it comes to these types of boot camps because the military themselves do not put initiates through something like this as they are aware for most/the untrained it is nothing but damaging. Do really feel for Eddie, can see here how much of a struggle it is to revisit these things. He's done here what he's consistently done and had the courage to face it open and head on, all as an attempt to push things in a positive direction. But the current media reaction and the public forum seem solely focused on the camp, and missing his grander vision. The narrative set by headlines and interview questions is completely at odds with what Eddie is putting forward here.
Would be nice to grow past this for the better like Eddie has, hope that comes once people get past the initial shock.
