We took the all-new Dipperfox Stump Grinder to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada to test its capabilities in BC's notoriously densely-wooded west coast terrain. The land was being cleared for a new housing development and the contractor needed an easy equipment solution that would remove the stumps and any debris that was created in the process.
Stumps ranged from six to 30" in diameter and consisted of mostly fir trees with some arbutus mixed in on the property as well. Our average time to process a stump was approximately one minute with the largest ones taking closer to three minutes. In total, we were able to grind 85 stumps in six hours of work time.
The Dipperfox Stump Grinder drills through stumps and their roots, pushing all the remaining debris deep into the ground.
