No shredder is gonna shred a railroad rail or for that matter a blacksmith anvil. A railroad rail weighs 115 pounds per linear foot and some anvils weigh a 1000 pounds. and not only that their iron is super hard.

The scary part isn't even getting squished and shredded, it's getting something like your foot stuck and slowly getting pulled and sucked into it while in some contorted position. Isnt it hydraulic ?
@@gutaishot2363 could be, I was just guessing it could be a pretty big motor
Most likely an industrial diesel motor with a good gear reduction
Love watching coil springs get the shredder treatment.
Dude with the camera was lucky to go home that day. Those spring parts were moving real damn fast. Not a safe job, if you don't respect what spring steel and other hardened steels and such do when subjected to that kind of force. Hell, not a safe job even if you do have the respect.
@@OGSontar my thoughts too, that dude had some guts to be standing there watching it
@@OGSontar yeah I agree, there's no way I'd be leaning over and watching heavy springs being broken up! There's a chance of getting 'shot' by it
@@buckknazty guts or lack of a brain?
So satisfying to watch for some reason 🤷♀️
This seems like one of the most dangerous things in the world to film in action...
Correct camera man I don’t think realizes how close he was to death when they threw that shock in there that spring exploded and by grace of god flew the other direction
That coil at about 1:35 almost sent that man to god
Exactly, these guys are idiots
@Ryan Rides For some reason I read your comment in Jim Ross’s voice from professional wrestling commentating lol
Machine shredder: I'm the toughest, meanest and baddest dude around.
Sledge hammer:that's because you never met me.Try and take me down if you can 🤔
I like you machine
RR track: i get crushed every day. Bring it on.
2:53 OMG 😱
1:30 Potential Darwin Award winner....
They fly like a bullet... would put a hole through you
Isn't this the kind of shredder that killed Michael Myers?
These cameramen are *begging* for shrapnel to the carotid artery
This is right up my alley I would enjoy doing this every day.
I hate the ones where they don’t crush. I wana see a giant block of metal shredded, quit baiting me.
Did you see the engine block and the I beam ?
Looking into it while it’s shredding is a smart idea
2:52 never do that! Use a stick instead.
2:50 just no. This is how people get chewed up
Shoot, I’ve been looking for years for that exact front wheel and fender assembly for my motorcycle at 3:48 😩. Don’t suppose I could weld it back together 😂
ахахахах😄😁
what was that block that burst into flame upon shredding ? 1:20 ish great
Li-ion cells
But how do they sort the different materials?
Sift in water plus magnets
@:30 “Say, maybe holding on to the smartphone wasn’t a good idea with all this pipe schrapnel flying past my FACE at 90 miles an hour!”
😑 That’s why I enjoy UA-cam. So I can watch this in the safety of my home.
at 1:34 that spring could kill someone outside of the saftey envelope. (who are we kidding - there is no saftey involved in these videos)
Welcome to China
You'll note that the sledge hammer is placed in a machine where the "teeth" are set too close together, and no matter how long it sits there, it'll never be drawn in. Had they placed it in one where it could, all it would do then would be to jam the machine as it's solid steel could not be shattered...
I was thinking that too lolol.
I would still like to see it anyway lol
@@kevinpaul7407 You saw it on the side bar, but I rather think they wouldn't throw one in, knowing full well it'd do sweet F A but just sit there and enjoy the massage and make fools of themselves...
I was hopeful of seeing a bit of railway line get eaten, but I got done by the clickbaiting thumbnail.
(Darn I fell for it again!)
Yep, you know the sledge hammer and the railway track are never going through.
2:52 That's just plain NUTS!
did anybody else notice the cell phones screens magically seemed to stay on somehow even after most of the phone was already shredded? lol they must have been display phones
I was thinking the same thing
Yeah it must of been one of the old one them ones never die
I want to see the shredder that can destroy other shredder!
Get married.

I expected the entire operation to be taken down to the slab when I saw them throw the McPherson strut in.
OMG! I was watching this in hi-def 3-D and it grabbed my phone!
6:40 Впервые увидел что бы маленькая шестерёнка (втулка) затормозила эту машину, удивлён. Из какого же она металла.

I could do that for 8 hours a day for years and still not be tierd of it lol
На 0.30 я поняла, что кусок трубы зарядил оператору в лоб.
Хорошо что не в глаз)
2:52 if you want to lose a couple of fingers be my guest.
Surly they use common sense to get out of the way when there is ricochet
I wonder what steel alloy is used for the shredder jaws, because....damn. What happens if you drop in something really tough, like a forged steel crankshaft, or better yet, one of the wheels from the shredder itself?
The machine binds and then reverses to prevent damaging itself.
I worked for a steel mill 20 years, its probably made of high magnesum alloy steel ! Those thing will eat anything you put in it !
@@timothyroatenberry1274 what about tungsten?
