I just started as an airline refueler at KCMH, and I usually do all American Eagle. I can't get over how detailed and accurate that CRJ-900 model is, it looks exactly like the real thing! And I couldn't help notice the tail #: N550NN. I've had the pleasure of fueling that particular aircraft multiple times! Awesome video, keep up the great work!

Current captain at PSA. I have flown this bird several times. I would need to check my logs to see the exact hours. Good stuff!
I've flown that tail in real life. CRJ900 is a great bird. Your landing was spot on, our training was to pull thrust to idle at 30ft. If you pull power to idle at the threshold you'll knock your fillings out on landing. Also, the flight number would be JIA5264. The company that is now PSA used to be jetstream international, hence the JIA in the flight number.

That 900 looks great! Actually did almost this exact flight a month or so back in a Beechjet from CLT-ATL, had to taxi all the way from the East side to 36C though in CLT

Jeff. I shared your video with a old FSX friend who grew up and became a real CRJ-900 pilot for PSA out of CLT. Alex is now First Officer / Pilot Recruiter.
Used to work at CLT and have worked many planes at the gate you started at. It’s crazy how real it looks. The terminal and surrounding area. Brings back a lot of memories working CRJ’s.
FTSim's update as of a few days ago adding updated idle engine sounds and the hydraulic pumps takes it even more next level. Definitely one of his best packs!

The 900 has been only aircraft I've been flying since it came out. It's amazing!

I absolutely love this thing! I've flown so many hours on it already. It's a nice change from the more automated planes, this plane is a lot more hands on. Also, I believe the right click then left click you do to hit the mach swap is an intentional feature of the sim, for whatever reason.
I also like the CRJ 900, but I am not a pilot. Hope to be one though.

As a Bluestreaker, I’ve been enjoying this aircraft quite a bit in MSFS

I’m a ramp agent at KCLT and load American Eagle aircraft including Emb145s, CRJ700, CRJ900, and ERJ175s and I can say this is very accurate and well detailed

Flying the CRJ-700 (American Eagle) we got I got my best landings by crossing the threshold at Vref+5 slowing to Vref by touchdown. When the computer called “10” we reduced the power to idle and held a constant pitch attitude.

Nice flight! Man, i miss MSFS - i pretty much gave up on it til i can get fibre internet. The last big sim update required me to download 80GB and this was before the new edition with the F-18 and the reno air races expansion too. I can run it fine on my system, but my internet just cant keep up with it. Sames goes for streaming in the 3D photogrammetry too.

Hi Jeff. Thanks for showing off this plane. Early on you said you can't get clearance for these planes. Is that because they are modded airplanes? To what extent can you use ATC with them?
Them taking off 23 is interesting considering that 5/23 have been closed for a while if you look at the NOTAM's.
I was gonna say that, only the 18 and 36 runways are active.
On the CRJ200 you can almost cut the power at 100ft and still be fine, but the dang 700/900 is so bad on sinking so you have to leave ~~60% N1 until around 20/30ft. Def cant bring it idle at threshold though...tried it in the full motion sim during training and blew the gear legs through the fuselage lol. Nice job.
just like hes been flying for 40 years or something. impressive.
A little hard on those brakes on the taxi but luckily there is no maintenance fee's for replacements :P

Late to the party on this video. But I got the CRJ 5/7 and LOVE them. Need to get me the 9/10 sometime soon. One of my favorite planes to fly, even over the ERJ. It will probably remain that way until a Q400 comes out. ;)

Jeff, red fuel levers are for shutdown. Throttles just click forward for startup. Don’t need that extra step.

You most definitely need to lift the locking levers to bring the thrust levelers to idle detent

I need some help. I’ve tried programming my thrust master for reverse thrust and it never works. No matter what button I put… once validated it still doesn’t work. Anyone know how to fix this?

You know, I'm sure this plane is really fun to fly, but being seated in the back corner of the plane without a window and crunched together with another guy was an experience. Still had fun though lol
550 has VNAV on the FCP tho.. kinda interesting it’s not modeled in the sim.
You should do the ad simulations crj 700.
Didn’t quite catch what you said about the sounds in this aircraft, just as you were lining up. Do you have an upgrade installed ?
FTsim on patreon, can’t remember if I had them installed in this video but I think these were default
