@@music79075 Not a lawyer but you could be sent to trial. If your speechcraft was high enough you could even lie your way out of it. Like I said for a 1996 game it was way ahead of it's time. It does so many things none of it's sequels even attempted.

Fun fact: in the second elder scrolls game (daggerfall) you do get send too court for breaking the law!
you can eather plead guilty, which might give you a lesser sentence out of mercy
or you could say your not guilty, and debate the circumstances of your arrest
you can then eather exploit legal oversights OR lie untill your teeth turn yellow
or afcourse get cursed by a wereboar and get diplomatic immunity no matter how many guards you kill ^^

idk which part is funnier. the accurate greenscreen law ad, the fact that it took me over a decade to realize there are no pigs in tamriel, or that thrall keeps getting us all off with just a night of sleep after literally terrorizing the provinces
