I still remember that disastrous interview from the Karamo Show. All it really did was show how much of a narcissistic brat she is, gaslighting some random lady so that her career isn’t destroyed. Lucky for us, it was. It’s mind boggling how people can even support her at all

Another thing she’s also done is claim that her anxiety is why some of the awful responses she’s made are bad. Idk man as someone with major anxiety issues yes anxiety sucks and can cause you to not think rationally sometimes but she still made the decision to do what she did so at least she should own up to it. She’s more than narcissistic-she’s taking advantage of a serious condition just to worm her way out of responsibility which does harm people with similar issues even if it’s not directly.

Here's the thing, the accusations of botulism and straight up death seem to be unfounded. There's a Food Scientist called Ann Reardon who debunked a lot of dangerous claims and falsehoods against Chef pi.
Such as the sauce causing botulism, her being a real chef and that the sauce wasn't made with mayo or ranch but just the ingredients on the label. Please give it a watch. Chef Pi made some serious mistakes in the beginning like the labeling and packaging but the other claims seem to be false and inflammatory.

Ann Reardon's video on Pink Sauce mentioned that the pH levels on the Pink Sauce itself isn't high enough for clostridium botulinum to grow if you initially make the recipe, and since a lot of shipments came out super disgusting, of course people would throw it out to not get botulism from the pH levels rising. Chef Pii has a fresh batch of Pink Sauce to use in her videos which is why it looks dull in retail shelves since the dragonfruit used settled.
Ann made such a good explanation in her video about the topic. She's the best food scientist!

HowtoCookThat explained why the colour fades over time. Apparently its because of the ingredients she uses, it 'naturally' fades colour within a few days.

So she made a home-made sauce that went viral on tiktok, and thought she would go into business selling it - and greatly over-estimated her ability to establish a food production company from scratch with no capital. She tried, she was stunningly inept at it. Eventually gave up, and did she she should have done in the first place: Partnered with an established company that possessed the required expert knowledge in food hygiene, distribution and regulatory compliance.
While the jokes are fun, I do kinda hope for a redemption of pink sauce.
Also why did she NOT rebrand the sauce? She coulda renamed it like "Casey's Dragonfruit Dipping Sauce". It would've made bank, no affiliation with pink sauce, no bad publicity.
Ann Reardon did a very in-depth video about the situation. There's a lot of fantastic information there, but on the subject of the color:
The sauce is made with dragon fruit powder. When it's fresh, it's that bright pink; the color fades very, very quickly.
There are plenty of worthy criticisms but many other points have been debunked as nothing more than rumors.
Hope everyone saw the video about her on How To Cook That. She really didn't forget to include eggs because dragonfruit powder works as an emulsifier.

@@LikaLaruku actually, in Brazil we call it "molho verde". We speak Portuguese, not Spanish as many think :p otherwise, you'd be perfectly correct, and maybe it does exist somewhere else, even if it has different ingredients or something (I do have to say that our molho verde is quite "pastel green", definitely not as bright as Pink Sauce, never)
About the color changing of the sauce, I heard because whatever ingredients in there Oxidizes and over time changes the color of the sauce. So freshly just made sauce would be pink while batches I suppose just changes color. If she really wanted to keep the color I suppose add some food dye or something.
Honestly if she just waited until the certified company started producing her sauce instead of trying to sell it on her own, she wouldn't even be in this mess.

Savantics, you've become mi TikTok update channel and I appreciate it because I don't have the time nor the energy to look myself for every story you talk about, but I love knowing about the trends and shameful personalities around
I'm pretty sure it's been debunked that botulism is in the sauce(as it only occurs when the acid content is not sufficient to kill the bacterial which considering the lemon and other acidic foods put in there is incredibly unlikely), while she is extremely unprofessional, this isn't reason to hurt her business, I think she deserves better than how we've been treating her considering the fact that she's done a lot of good in teaching the world about the fact that dragonfruit has the ability to make an emulsion something dairy free folk should be rejoicing. My mom nearly cried of joy when I made a spoof of the pink sauce that tastes like caesar salad dressing.

I work in the food industry as a quality assurance technician where it is literally my job to ensure the products I supervise are as advertised, packaged properly, and safe to consume. This Pink Sauce later crap horrified me in how incompotent and dangerous it was.

I was actually at Walmart about a month or two ago and I saw her pink sauce on the shelf it was marked down from $4.99 to $1.47 and the shelf of it was almost completely full there were probably only two things taken

She was a jerk... Over and over again. She is very rude, and arrogant to people who critiqued her product. If someone can not handle critique and any negative comments about a product, that says a lot of a person. I know that she was hated by the internet, but there are very valid reasons for it. I am kind of happy that she now has a business deal, but it is a little late for that. It took so many people to tell the truth about her original recipe, for her to actually reach out to an actual company.
Also, changing the product does not technically "fix the problem", it prevents more problems from occurring, but for me and I imagine lots of other people, the problem is: She put people in the hospital. That doesn't go away cause she stopped selling the (illegal) product.
That'd be like, if a meth dealer got caught but because they stopped cooking meth no one can be mad at them.
I can imagine quite a few people would still be kinda pissed afterwards, and while it was definitely better then doing nothing, she's probably going to have to at least settle some lawsuits soon.
@@rougheredge6705 A lot of the claims involving health issues and pink sauce are false. I'd suggest looking into Ann Readon's How to Cook That channel bc she debunkes a lot of stuff and actually does research.
@@lore1428 I'll look into it but she is going to have a real hard time convincing me that all those reports of people getting sick were fake or unrelated to them consuming the bloated, unrefrigirated sauce that was sold without any FDA approval or oversight.

The color difference could be caused by the company buying the likeness of the brand "Pink Sauce" and not the actual recipe maybe? Same this kind of happened with Twinkies whenever Hostess got bought. They bought the rights to the name but didn't get the recipe, which is why Twinkies taste different.
