Screen Door Effect:
I just got my quest 3. The screen door effect is a lot more hard to notice. It's there if you can somehow focus in on it and in some images/scenery you can see some of it. BUT again, its very hashed up so looks a bit more grainier if you focus in on it than actually notice the screen door effect. In quest 2, you can easily see the screen door effect, that's definitely not the case in quest 3. Again still there, but its more hashed up and less obvious effect even you were to focus in on it. Definitely a major improvement in screen door effect from q2 to q3.
I dont get any motion sickness from the Quest 3 and it's a ton more comfortable with the Elite Strap plus battery.
It's not something that happens to everyone. I never got motion sickness with any VR headset but others I know do.

I've been using it for work and as long as your keyboard has lightup keycaps, its been very usable. I've edited videos for work and it's worked out surpringly well. Looking forward to the next few firmware updates for the cameras and battery.
Nice to come across a good quality video that feels way ore honest than the larger vr channels.

I use Immersed app to use my Mac.... and Skybox VR to host all my movie files and I watch UA-cam and browse X on the Quest 3 OS... those are my use cases to use VR/MR.... and I like the passthrough video.... you get used to the meh quality it makes you feel less boxed in.... I got the Quest 3 coz of the hype apple created in this space... and so far so good.... not missing the Vision Pro ability to pepper your whole space with Safari windows...

I use PC/VR with the Quest 3 because I use Tundra trackers with it and it's been awesome.

By far the best headset they've released so far. If you have a Q2 you don't NEED to upgrade but if you're still unsure on VR or want a good starting point/want a more modern headset tech wise for a good price then the Q3 is amazing. I have loved my time so far. Had an issue with fogging on my Q2 and currently haven't experienced it on Q3. Playing some games it was obvious how far Oculus/meta have came since the Q1. My only two gripes are the battery life and how power banks can't really handle the power of the Q3 as well as the microphone. The latter doesn't bother me but is a common issue. The former however makes it so you only get nearly 2 hours on a full charge, then it will take about an hour or more to fully charge. Overall though 9.5/10
Battery Life with 120hz vs standard 90hz do all things/ games support 120hz or only certain things?

I wanted to update to quest 3, but after the pico 5 pro announcement... It'll cost roughly the same, but you get higher resolution, face/eye tracking, so... I will wait a bit

Is it possible to connect a MacBook via USB-C and use it as if they were 2 or 3 external monitors?
Is it possible to keep the screen in front of your face instead of the screen being in a fixed position in the 3D environment?
I have noticed that when the green light goes on when charging, that it is only at 97% and takes at least half a hour to get to 100% full charge.
thanks, how readable is text on virtual monitors? can you do work like reading emails on it? also, is it clear enough to say watch youtube on a virtual screen in the headset?
you can watch youtube on a virtual screen even on the quest 2. the quest 3 allows you to watch youtube on a real one

Quest 3 can be used for both standalone and PCVR if you have a good enough gaming PC.

Ive never gotten motiom sickness... however i got REALLY nauseous the other day after some Dengeons of eternity... i realized one of the "glasses spacers" was off and probably explains the nausua. Didnt even notice till it was too late 😅
I've never had Motiom sickness either, I don't think anyone has ever had MOTIOM sickness hah😂

does it work outside in the sun now without breaking?
The Cameras will not break, but if the sun hits the LENSES for even a couple of seconds it can create a deadspot. So yes it is still an issue
Unclear if that'll ever get solved with these headsets, might have to wait for glasses.

Its a little disheartening that beat saber is still the 'go to' game with all these higher tech headsets coming out...

My honest opinion is for price the meta quality 3 is not worth it. Let me break
It down on what I’m talking about 1st the quality design quality wise is lackluster meaning the strap is extremely low quality which is uncomfortable on my head. 2nd the psvr 2 looks way better visually than the quest 3 and lastly the meta quest pro is better in overall quality design fits comfortably and just overall better headset period.
yeah and the price of meta quest pro is also very good ... duh !
