Hi, The keycodes you have on your telefone on 6:50, you had that from you original bcu? Do you need those codes, or can the new bcu learn the codes like you do in the video in about 7:50? My bcu might have died as keys do not work and I cannot enter with Nanocom (I have a spare bcu). Nanocom says in the beginning "ERROR: Unable to start communications with the ECU."
Yeah the keycode on my phone is from the original BCU. You need those codes as that's the codes your keys are assigned to. I was telling the new BCU what my key codes were at 7:50.
Gday mate do you still have your Disco‽ I’m looking too hopefully move on from my Jimny soon to a Disco2 (Jimny is simply too small for my needs now), I see your nearby to Ormeau‽

Slightly different topic, but can one programme a second key with a different programming number to ones first key so that, in the case of losing one key on a trip, you could use the second key to open the car and continue driving? Thanks
Make also one blank key cut without fob and find a place underneath the car where you can keep it in case you lost your keys. Know your EKA CODE so you can unlock and start your car in emergency.
@@adventureawaits4x457 cheers for the prompt reply man. Got the same issue with my fob yesterday. Only 1 key :(.. Was about to spend a solid amount on getting a new key programmed but your video makes me think it might not be the fob but the BCU or receiver - so thanks heaps. Potentially saved me hundreds in getting a key made for no reason.
@@realfolkstudios no worries my man! Hopefully you'll get it sorted. Might be worth finding out what your EKA code is as well just incase it decides to stop responding all together
If the RF test does not find the key does that mean my receiver has gone/broke? Or could it still be the BCU? Mine has stopped working since the battery died
@@adventureawaits4x457 that’s true it could be the remote itself, I think I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and buy remote and receiver together. Last resort will be the BCU, thanks for the advice mate appreciate it 👍
Hopefully it will fix your issues! Yes and no with the cruise control. It played up when had my Speedo corrector wired up, but fixed when re-wired correctly.. who'd thought manual and auto had to wired differently 🤣
I have the same problem !! Thanks to you now I can try to fix it 💪💪 I see that you didn’t upload video since 2021 ☹️ i loved all your videos
all the best! and thank you for your kind words! Currently working 2 jobs now, dont have the time nor creativity to make videos anymore
@@adventureawaits4x457 Damn, two jobs required a lot of time and energy I totally uderstend. Good joob and best luck for the future 💪💪
Spot on mate the joy when she started we can all relate to it
Excellent and I feel your surprise and relief that it worked. We all know that feeling!! Keep up the good work
Thanks!! Yes very relieved and over the moon aye!
Great, I need to do this, you have given me confidence. Thank you 👍👍👍
No worries! Glad to be some help ☺️

@@adventureawaits4x457 Ok, that is clear. Those codes are in the keys as well, I found out (if not faded like mine)
Good video! Seems to confirm that I would need to fork out some money for a Nanocom!!
Thanks!! They're up there in price but good one off insurance as I see it as!

what model is the nanocom o ecu hou have ?? i gonna tryu to do the same thing no mechanics in houston what to work on my disco
Damn that's annoying.. unm I'm using the evo 2 i believe and the ecu is a nnn type
So your windows, wipers, lights and everything else with the BCU was working, except your central locking?
Pretty much!! Hence why I was quite sure it was just the receiver that went aye!
Ok, I asked because everything is working fine with mine, also the remote light flash when I press the buttons, but nothing happens with the car.
are you in vic? I am having similar problems
Sorry to hear. Unfortunately Im in QLD.. so not much help

Awesome vid
Hey legend. Can you only do this with a NANOCOM? Or can you use cheaper alternatives?
Tbh, I'm not too entirely sure. Possibly a Hawke eye might do the trick also but im not 100% on it aye

What is that device you are using to synchronize and where can i get one.
It's a nanocom, you can get it from here www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/
Could u share a link to where u bought the bcu please...thanks
Sorry can't help ya there.. Bought it 2nd hand off a wrecker
Great video... What is the Nano computer you are using?
cheers! Nanocom is a Land Rover specific diagnostic computer. well for my D2 anyway
Great video mate 👍👍

Yeah I'd say it could be the receiver. Still can't 100% rule out bcu, but could it also possibly be the remote that might have clapped out?

About to attempt this today, indicator malfunction apparently caused by the bcu. Did you ever have cruise control problems man?

Another interesting videos, good job. How hard was it to modify the lr4 key to suit?
Thanks! Wasn't too bad, but there cutting of the circuit board and what not involved . If anything just a very fiddly job
Which nanocom is that?
It's the nanocom evolution I believe
Nanocom Evolution 👍
That's a great Disco you have!!! Nanocom eh? Was a bit pricey, so bought a Foxwell instead, but I would have preferred the Nanocom!
Thank you! Yeah they're up there in price but very much worth it! IV never heard of Foxwell before?! But aye if it does the job then happy days
Do you have an Instagram I could follow? Sick disco dude!
Thanks man! Appreciate it 👍😊 and yes I do but I'm not sure how I share my link.... But if you search storm.trover7 it should come up thanks

110% happy days!!!
Anybody with this try cleaning the BCU first, electrical cleaner and soft tooth brush.
Yeah didn't work for me mate
