Happy New Year to ALL of you! What is your New Year’s Resolution going into 2022?
It’s most likely be more alert to those who are on need
Thanks . I have to wait about 5 hours.
My New Years resolution for 2022 is getting a new job and reconnect with my old high school friends plus investing in myself.
Happy new year 💖
Happy New year 2022
WD 🎊
My new year resolution is to nsje more die cast videos and spend time with family
As a mid 70s baby and a 90s teen, the MR2 was always one of my favorite cars growing up. Nice work!
1975 here
As Long as your a Single 😊😍
Turbo version with HKS upgrades 🔥
@@cliffie024 yeah, the turbo was legit sweet back in the day.
@@LTZ_Z71 are you 47?
It just amazes me how well designed old cars are and the quality of the materials. Also, blue interior! What!!!
If I was a mouse, I’d think I had the nicest place in the land!
If I were the owner, I'd throw that carpet in the fuck. 😅😂
90-92 Normally Aspirated, 5 Speed in midnight blue metallic, with some very nice options, such as the upgraded stereo, security system and power steering. looks to be REALLY good shape given the time it's been sitting outside in the elements, and looking even better now. Good work! if I get my MR2 back on the road, I'll give you another video to make with one of these go karts.
Is it not a turbo with the t-top?
@@logandrennon4430 no. Turbo would have raised louvers/vents on the engine lid, fog lights, and turbo badging on the rear deck.
It's not the upgraded stereo. They just have the rear speaker grills with aftermarket speakers. There were supposed to be actual speaker boxes inside there. Plus the speaker grill would have been painted blue to match the interior.
@@matto7489 you really know your stuff, do you have an mr2 yourself?
@@logandrennon4430 I do. '94 Turbo
If the new owner wraps it after how great it turned out he’s a mad man! Excellent work!
Thanks for the blast from the past. My sister had a red MR-2 like this when new and I had the 3rd generation '93 Rx-7 in red too at the time. Her MR-2 was a beast to polish because it felt like they did not put a clear coat on it and every time you polish and wax it, your polishing cloths looked like a murder scene and they were all red. It sounded cool when driven hard and people thought it was a Ferrari.
This gen MR2 and the RX-7 were the cars I really wanted when I was turning 16
Don't know why but the interior always seems more satisfying 😌
probably should have taped off the intake prior to degreasing and spraying water in the engine compartment. Otherwise, great job!
Probably the throttle flap was completely closed, but better safe than sorry.
Doesn’t really matter
There's a snorkel in the lower side of the intake pointing downward. I pressure wash mine all the time, even with the engine running.
@@elmeesio intake hose was missing on this engine so the throttle body was completely exposed.
A couple of things to do would be to ensure the spark plug holes are fully dry as water will stay in there and cause issues later. Also best to block off the intake as I can see it's open here. Water inside the engine isn't great.
Good job on the detail, looks awesome! 😊
Agreed ! I washed my engine once and my mr2 wouldn’t turn on because I got water inside the distributor. Definitely something worth noting!
Its a toyota . You cant kill it
@@osamarajpoot1966 not true lol
@@osamarajpoot1966 your not wrong.
MR2 owner. Front normally has a liner in it. It houses the battery which has a tie down and then the spare fits overtop of it in the molded liner. The trunk still had it's carpet liner in it which is cool as that's getting harder and harder to get ahold of. Still had the "sport" 14inch wheels. I sold mine years ago but kind of which I hadn't. Today I have blitz Type03's on it. The car is nearly rear engine with how far back it sits and definitely handles a lot more like an old porsche. As other comments pointed out taping off a lot of the electronics is a wise idea to ensure nothing happens. I've not had too many issues with mine but I also don't typically hose down the engine bay. The paint I believe is a single stage paint and super soft as well as didn't hold up well to daily driving in my opinion. Like all pop ups they love to "wink" as the motors wear out. The frame rails love to rust on these and I spent a number of years looking for one that was relatively clean. I also specifically looked for a hardtop to avoid the dreaded t-top leaking which I got to experience in my Z32 300zx. As this car was a 5SFE car I bet that thing would run after being dunked in the ocean. The 3SGTE isn't terrible but definitely more temperamental. Easy way to tell the Turbo and non-Turbo's apart is the engine decklid is flush for NA cars and raised vents for Turbo cars. You'll also get people trying to tell you about the twin turbo MR2 that they swear they saw back in the day but are referring to "twin-entry turbo" badging that was on the cars. Weather seals are a pain in the ass to get ahold of and I bought some from Toyota 8 years ago or so for when I do a full restore on mine. The transaxle in these, S54 for the non turbo and E153 for the turbo are solid units. The E153 is incredibly stout and can take a ton of abuse. The cars were made available with basically no aides and my car has no ABS, no power steering or power windows. On the interior of the car, behind the rear seats are two cubbies. An option for some MR2's is a subwoofer in the cubby. Your mouse nest is all the sound deadening between the firewall and the cabin. Looks like it ripped up most of it and relocated it :) . Great job on that mr. two.
Great Detail! Although I will note something being an mr2 owner is that you can remove the arm rest panel and clean that whole area because it tends to build up of dirt. Amazing vid!
Wishing you both all the good fortune you deserve in 2022. It’s so nice to see a channel with no agenda, just two hard working guys who seem like genuinely good people. Cheers.
A friend gave me a Toyota Solara that had been parked for years in a barn. It was in much the same condition as the MR2, so this video brought back memories of how satisfying it was to clean it, get caught up on needed services, and then start using it as a daily driver. After I left he started using it again, and he drove the Solara until he passed away.
As a kid i always thought these were one of the coolest looking cars, and it still is! Doubt they’ll ever make something like this again
Happy New Year to the both of you from Australia, it is 1.10am Saturday the 1st of January here. :)
How are you a day ahead of the USA impossible bruh it’s only the 31st of December not the first
Ever heard of Australia?
@@jesussavescars807 guess what its the 3rd now here :0
@@jesussavescars807 you never heard of different time zones??
What you did for the interior is nothing short of a miracle. So well done :D
I love the brush attachment for the drill. what a great way to scrub carpets and fabric seats.
One of the best detailing jobs I have ever seen! 👏👏👏👍🏼
Watching you guy’s doing such an awesome job on the MR2 was totally satisfying. I owned a ‘91 MR2 Turbo manual for a few years back in the late nineties. Which I can have you guys do a full detail on my 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. Good luck in the new year.
The resiliency of car materials blows my mind.
When you were cleaning the speaker box you exposed some rust areas. In addition to cleaning, do you spray some form of rust preventer? Thanks, really good video.
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I hope to share with you a product: Philisn, which has a very good protection effect on my car. I've bought it three times. It saves me a lot of money because I don't have to go to the car wash.
Indeed, this product from philisn is very affordable and cost-effective
Happy new year all! Stay safe xx
As a mr2 owner seeing a mr2 like this is making me cry
I detailed cars for years and found an ice scraper works great for getting most of the water out of freshly washed floor mats. Just pull it like your carpet extractor
This was a dope clean up can’t wait to see what’s next🙌💯
I think you already know 👀 see you next Wednesday
So lucky to get a free car like this after an estate sale glad you guys made it look great again
Great job 👏. Those carpets came up so well . Awesome car.
I definitely need to do this to my MR2s....great work!!!
The fact that this car is blue everywhere is just one of those little details that go unnoticed!
Oh, MR2 folk definitely noticed the blue interior. Toyota color matched everything. Most white of blue cars had blue interior. The burgundy red ones are even rarer.
Poor Maestro Dos didn't deserve to rust unloved under a tree. Glad you guys brought him back to life and gave him some much needed love!
Happy new year from Australia
My New Year's resolution is to live my best life. And get my car detailed.
Nice work gentlemen!
I love the days when Toyotas had bright blue interiors, or red, those were the days!!!
Your right, nowadays black are very common and cheap.
@Shadow X
Exactlyyyy
If they end up wrapping it, I hope they do a clear wrap. That paint is beautiful
Legend has it when you detail a car to this level, you gain 20 horsepower.
A 91 MR2 was my first car. To this day still my favorite car. Wish I had another one.
SO satisfying!! Keep these abandoned car videos coming :D
Hi bred I’m a big fan of u
This the MR2 I’ve been wanting for years! Wow what a find
Love to see it, pulled my mr2 out of an old man's yard for free as well. Looked a lot like this except had a broken window so the passenger carpet was even worse.
Are you gonna restore it?
i just love it when guys like you give a classic sports car like this a second lease on life. looks incredible would love to see the car after the owner wraped it
I loved these MKII MR2s! I had two from 1995 to 2002... Really great car, accept the motor is tough to work on... Wonderful memories driving it...
WOW - Great Job!! Wish we had a shop like that to go to in IL.
I loved the video. I am learning alot from you and am curious as to the time the overall job took to complete
The rear came out really spectacular!
Had two W20‘s so far. Were really awesome to drive. Loved them!
i just bought a MR2 today. It is also a barnfind and will defenatly do that kind of detailing. amazing job.
tough little car, fun to drive, , nimble, i was surprized just how well these are built, One of the best quality built cars ive seen.
Amazing
Awesome work !!! Wow
Cool car! Great work! Happy new year! 👍
This was about as nasty as the 2005 BMW 545i I picked up this week. It sat outside next to a barn for a few years too…
The interior carpet transformation was the most stunning of the entire detail.
MR2 is actually a very beautiful model. Nice color as well
Gorgeous car. Super rare and reliable
Watching this was therapeutic
Happy new year from 🇲🇾
Hope you have a great new year can't wait to see what next year brings. 🎉🎉
So satisfying
I just had to do a very similar job on the MR2s sibling. A 1993 Celica with the full blue interior complete with mold and rusty carpets too. It came surprisingly clean, but could have used a steamer for sure!
I’m making the 500th comment! My old Mazda mx6 had that exact same blue interior. That takes me back.
such a beautiful car, one of my favorites ever especially from Toyota and i wish they bring the mr2 back/make a modern version
Great result. I would love to have owned one back in the day, but I didn’t have the money. There’s something cool about cars with pop up lights.
I wish you guys did before and after at the end of the videos. Amazing work!!
Whoa. Always wanted one of these
Одно из лучших времён автопроизводителей 90 е, особенно японские автомобили!
I see Toyota mr2....I click
I want to see the customer reaction on all on your videos, makes it much better, I know you do a great job on these cars but yous need customer reaction at the end , makes it more enjoyable the smiles on there faces
she is a little belter brilliant job guys your work is fantastic love your videos well done
Happy new year for you too, straight from Brazil!

I love that "baby Ferrari". Thanks for share this video with us and greatings from Mexico.
Always wanted to own one, but never have yet!! Still I'm only 66yrs so? Love all your programs, even in UK.
Beautiful job.
You guys killed it! Question what are u spraying on the car after u polish to get the excess wax to come off?
This is a retro japanese car, great clean and restore.
congrats for these videos!!
I love the way you reluctantly picked away at the mouse nest - waiting for something to jump out at you!!
I was scared ! Haha
My new year’s resolution is to watch every one of your videos
Fantastic job.
Thank you!
thank you
I absolutely HATE washing cars- but when you all spray the foam all over the vehicle, it's sooo satisfying!,
Excelente trabajo
The Mid-engine Rear-wheel drive 2 seater or better known as an MR2, is my all-time favorite car. I'm insanely jealous he got it for free.
Satisfying cleaning. For that, you just earned a subscriber!
Lovely video boys I love 1990s Toyota's
