Great video. Thinking of getting into car hauling. I’m in the process of obtaining my CDL License and a guy is willing to train me to car haul. I’ll be a rookie that’s not a problem. Just wondering what’s the rates like. He was telling me that he would pay me 25% of the low load minus the fuel. Do you folks have any idea what that means. How do car haulers get paid?
Hi! Thanks for watching and that’s super exciting that your working on getting your CDL! The norm is 25 percent when working for someone however you should not be paying for your own fuel! I hope this helps. P.S. I wouldn’t take that deal!
@@theridealong8309 Ok thanks I was thinking the same thing about the fuel. I was going to see if he would pay for the fuel. I’m already doing him a favor by running the truck right!!! At the same time he’s helping me go with no experience in any truck driving under my belt. But if he pays for the fuel that would be a lot more money in my pocket. Thanks for the quick reply I really appreciate it. I’ll be hitting you folks up again I’m sure. You folks are awesome keep up the good work!!!👍
He definitely should be paying the fuel. He is for sure helping you out but your doing a job and should be compensated for that! If you ever have a question for sure send it over!

Why is your time load matter
We’re still on our 14 hour clock as we load and want to make it home each weekend.
