Just a tip when strapping the wheels down keep your strap hooks as tight as possible around the bottom of the tire. .
Damn, that set up and confidence is going to make you rich👏🏼👏🏼

Great video. Thanks.
Nice work. As a big rig driver same methods apply…so 2 dual tire tandem axles would be a better option. Yes is an extra set of tires but is more stable and can take more payload. 3 axles put lots of stress on the middle tire while turning. Also hotshot haulers should always shock the trailer wheels by engaging the E brake/Emergency Brake while vehicle in neutral. Shock the trailer wheels and then put the truck in Parking mode. You do not want to be loading/unloading cars and having that trailer rocking back and forth putting all that stress on the transmission locking pin. Couple of shocks on each side of trailer front and back of a wheel will do the job and will save you a transmission expense on the long run. Other than that safety first drivers.
Nice advice. I agree 100% with the choice of dual tandems, when possible. Also, I think you mean to say CHOCKS, not SHOCKS!?
I fell out laughing at the end lmbo 😂😂 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 hey let me join them wit the 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great setup. Please bring back the videos they were just starting to get interesting. I was wondering about the cost of the trailer? Look forward to the next one.
Thank you! My trailer new from factory is around 17k. I bought it’s used for 10. It wasn’t even 1 yr old when I bought it.
Nice work
Thanks 😊
Safety 💯
Nice video. I am picking up a new 50’ next week. Going from a Kaufman 43’. Stay safe out there
Awesome set-up and nice video. I'm glad I came across your video because I have a 5th wheel in my truck bed and was looking to use a gooseneck but didn't know the name of the adapter you use to bridge that gap. What is the name of it and where do you purchase it? 👍🏾 Liked, Comment & Subscribed.
Glad it was helpful! I'm not sure of what you're talking about sir as far as the adapter is concerned.
It's called 5th Wheel.You can pull a 5th Wheel trailer o a Gooseneck trailer.
Excellent video! Just wondering if you’ve had any problems loading cars like Hondas or Toyotas, does the front bottom scrape the ramp?
Thank you. I haven't had a single vehicle scrape as of now. My ramps are 9ft so that gives me a better angle.
Hi, quick question your trailer is a 53' ? I'm thinking on the 44' Kaufman to be safe with the length I have a 3500 RAM crew can 8' bed any advise? be safe man
Hi, my trailer is 50ft. 44 would be the better one if you still have a bed on your truck.
do you have any issues with the weight over the rear truck axle? How heavy of a vehicle can you put up there, without exceeding the axle rating?
I don’t have any problems. Honestly it really depends on the other two vehicles behind it that determines how heavy the 1st one can be. I typically only put small or mid sized sedans up there. I also load it backwards to distribute the weight properly. The heaviest I’ve put there was 4200 lb dodge charger.
Are any of those 3-5 car trailers adjustable to run both w/ your pickup and semi?
nice video keeop it up am non cdl this set up looks good
@@vetwaytransportation 2018 ram 3500 6.7 aisin trans 2014 50 ft wedge trailer same as yours with a fifth wheel
Thanks for the video, I have a question where I can get the loads?
I find load through through central dispatch primarily. I also gain customers through word of mouth.
Hey David. Do you ever haul from west Palm beach FL to Wisconsin? I got 2 civics and Jetta. All 4 door sedans.
Ncee setup. I've been looking into doing the same with a 3-car hauler. How do you find your loads?
Thank you 🫡. I use a combination of central dispatch and personal customers that I’ve met through doing business.
Nice setup! I'm getting the exact same trailer with a 2022 Ram Laramie Crew Cab, but I'm worried about the overall length. Is your setup over the 65ft allowed by DOT?
It’s just barely over. Best bet is to get a cab and chassis that way you’re registered as a tractor. You won’t have to worry about the length laws as much. I haven’t been bothered yet and neither has anyone else I know with the same setup.
I'm looking for a 3 car trailer in South Central Missouri . Any suggestions 🤔 I know most people say go for a 5 car but I think 3 would be fine. I only have a 1 car trailer now .
3 car will work. 5 car is better obviously because you’re able to carry more. Do you have a CDL? It’ll definitely be required for a 5 car.
First time using my wedge for vehicle's. Its a 53 foot kaufman i need to load two trucks. How should i place them on the trailer... sorry only ever hauled trailers and boats with the trailer so not sure how to properly place two truck's on it
It really depends on what type of trucks. I wouldn’t generally put the first one backwards and the rear truck facing forward.
Nice Set up… Do you have problems with the transmission from time to time??
Good video. Which trailer you using? How you like the ram? Looking at getting into hauling cars myself.
Thank you. I have 2021 Texas Pride. The Ram is great! I don’t have much to compare it to but it definitely gets the job done.
Hello, I just purchased a dually truck and was wondering, do you offer trainings for Car Hauling?
I’m sorry I don’t. If you were located near me I wouldn’t mind helping out.
There is a guy in Gallatin TN looking for someone to do this 2 trips to North Fl a week , i wanna try doing it.
OG, just doing the training for a freight broker. I see that it is more common to use a RAM then a large truck.
I mean pick up trucks with 3 slots seems to be more popular then big trucks
@@cyberspace7668 I understood that. I’m talking about doing the training for a freight broker.
Awesome video!
Turn your background music volume down just a tiny bit bro. Sometimes its hard to hear what your saying
Man I'm from Paris Tn. I see those tn tags on that trailer. Where ya at man
Thanks for the video ✌🏼 for the aluminum ramps what is it rated for? 6,000lbs? 10,000lbs? Really appreciate if you could answer
Thanks again
Do I need CDL to haul 3 to 4 cars ? Thanks
more than likely you will. A trailer that will fit 4 cars will more than likely a cdl setup. If it isn't, after you load it with 4 cars it will be lol.
What are you scaling at with 3 average vehicles? 3 axles with 2 spare tires, do you have a winch and battery?
As I am just beginning, I’ve yet to scale a full load. This video was for demonstration purposes as I needed to familiarize myself with my equipment first. That was a personal vehicle. I am currently waiting for my DOT and mc to become active before I run for hire. My trailer does have a 12k Badland winch and a battery. Thank you for your comment.
@@vetwaytransportation Of you haven't ready, run it to the truckstop scale and get an empty base line so you can calculate your load. Are you CDL or non? You probably know this, but make sure your truck is full of fuel and has everything on board you plan to carry. Of your going to sleep on the truck, remove the back seat and build a light weight wood frame then use foam for mattress. Use a 6 inch thick form or it will be too hard for good sleep. Tow Piglet has a good video on the bed. You might consider removing the truck bad as well, it takes off about 600lbs that gives you more paying weight and every pound is money. measure your length as well to make sure your under 65ft total as some Troopers are cracking down on that. Removing the truck bed negates length laws in out states except CA, IL, NC, IA that have different laws. If your nonCDL stay out of CA and NC as they have laws that penalize anything over 10K Without a CDL. Anyway, best of luck to your new adventure, it can be fun and make a lot of money
@@rctjacksonville thank you for that information. I am CDL class A with Manual restriction. Do you have an email or social media site where I can contact you?
what model pick up truck is that? dodge ram 3500? which model?
@@vetwaytransportation Thank you, i just subcribed to the channel. i am trying to start a NON CDL Set up, can you tell me what trailer, and truck do you reccomend, and if i have a 3 car wedge or should i get a 2 car enclosed to start. how much car weight can i hold in those trailers 3 car or 2 car enclosed. i under the GVWR part truck and trailer have to be under 26k lbs. i am confused about how much weight of car can i haul. what is the lightest truck i can get that can haul the 3 cars, but also be light curb weight, this way i can maximixe the weight of the cars i am hauling if that makes sense?
Hey big dog i know it's been a min, just checking in see how things are going. You still hauling? Same set up? Whst have you learned
What’s good fam. I’m still hauling.. upgraded from 3 to 4 and also upgraded the truck. Still have the ram as well. I’ve learned more than I can tell you in a comment lol.
How much that trailer cost you
Are you based close to Southhaven Ms?
@@vetwaytransportation I think we met once, I brought a can am over close to you.
Hey, what's going on? I'm a trucker trying start my own business doing exactly what you're doing and I would like advice and mentorship on making this business dream happen. How can I get in contact with you so i can make this happen as quickly as I can?
Use go pro to check . They use Bluetooth to connect to phone..no wifi
That’s a good idea! I have one but I never thought of that. Thank you
? I getting into car hauling n few mins is 3 cars good too start with I going Non cdl first I found a non cdl trailer call buckeye the light trailer n America but any who is it a good time too get into is it money n there still
Car hauling works great for me. I have no experience with freight so I’m no qualified to speak on that. I would recommend getting CDL if you’re serious about this long term.
How do you get your loads?
Central Dispatch and Direct customers that I’ve met through doing business.
hold the fuck up, that can not be a rated tie down point, that mesh will tear in a heartbeat. am i not seeing something?
Yes, you’re not seeing that it’s heavy duty mesh. It’s made for that.
ESOS SON LOS PEORES REMOLQUES PARA TRASLADAR VEICULOS EL PUNTO DE GRAVEDAD ESTA MUY ALTO... 👎
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade using a pickup for this will be a long term maintenance disaster semi tractor is half as expensive long term .And a company job with jack Cooper or Cassens transport pays 1.54 per mile + load pay free medical and a retirement
Thanks for the advice. You are also %100 correct with what you said. Hence the reason I am currently in a semi.
