Yes, I love the 5 min tidy. We do the 10 minute tidy 3 or 4 times a day after various "shifts" in our home. We homeschool (3 kids) & it helps a lot

Sage advice. For so many years I struggled with the whole "perfect" thing. I didn't try or do lots of things because I couldn't do it the "right way". Or I would obsess over something until I had become "extra". Quit waiting and just do it. Failure is better than never pushing yourself and trying new things.

Some good suggestions but a HUGE NO to the DNA thing. I would simply not trust a company like that with that type of my personal information, I don't care what they have to say about privacy. There are some things we have no control of in regards to our personal or health information but this that Angie is pushing is a choice, one I would never make.

Just wanna say I keep coming back to your videos, even though you seem way more put together than me because you keep speaking to the perfectionist voice and telling her to shove it. 😂 There are a few important people in my life who say, “if I need to know it, I’ll just remember it.“ And it’s really frustrating living in a world where we are all supposed to have perfect memories. I still really like that book, “Getting things done,” because he said that your brain was for processing and treasuring family mementoes, not for remembering when to take out the laundry.

Loved the video! I especially loved the ♥️ to ♥️ at the end. Really interesting point about perfectionists often being insecure. My husband and I know this couple that they both are super perfectionists!! But as we've gotten to know them better, my husband was pointing out that they just act really insecure, while trying to put on that they have everything under control. So your comments about that are spot on.

Great suggestions. I love the one about cleaning up and getting it DONE not perfict. It's the one I need to remember. I get so stuck on needing it perfict, every time I clean up or organize. (due to how I grew up, you made me realize that) That I end up getting stressed and do very little or nothing because of the build up of anxiety to do it all perfict. Thank you for that and I'm going to make a note and set it where I can see it next to my daily list (I'm taking your advice, even if it's part of the 5 minute tasks, thank you) So I can constantly remind myself to remember to just get it done.

I meal plan for one week at a time. It is exhausting for me the day I do it but it helps SO MUCH for the rest of the week! It also saves us so much money as I am not buying unneeded groceries or letting them go to waste. This summer I thought we would try to be more spontaneous and not meal plan. Big mistake! I needed to hear the insecure vs. perfectionism remarks. Thank you for sharing these tips! Smiles, Abby Smith

Just a tip for the meal planning. Dont make and freeze casserole type dishes, they take up so much soace and take so long to dedrost and then to cook. I started making the main portions (think lasagna) and then assemble day of. I love cooking, but not for long times every single day. I also add pureed veggies to any meal i can, it's now become a one pot meal. No sides needed. Those are my favorites.
