I had the same code in my 2005 toyota Matrix replace same solenoid but didn't fix the problem. Transmission works perfect ,it's just the check engine light keeps coming back.
I've got a 2008 Corolla that is also throwing code P0741. Would the resolution steps in TSB TC008-04 also apply to a 2008 Corolla? (1st try replacing speed gear assy. Then try replacing the solenoid?)
I did not see any tsb or recall for this code on the 2008 model year but if it is throwing that code it could be the shift solenoid valve, the valve body, or even the torque converter itself. You could try some of the steps I did on the video but you may come up empty handed. If you can look at live data that would help or had access to a bi-directional scanner.
It did eliminate it but the owner actually called today and messed up the transmission and is wanting to replace it so there may be a video up soon doing a trans swap.
@@operationoverhaulhave a 2012 Toyota corolla isis that keeps telling me that my torque converter clutch solenoid stuck in off position I change 3 transmission including the solenoid and ecu that keep giving the same exact code an it still come on how do I go about this because its frustrating p2575 code
@@xaviawallen8295 I would check it from the computer to the connector on the transmission first then if it checks out good then I would check the wires from the connector to the solenoid.
Thank you buddy
No problem 👍
Hello do you have the actual TSB to reference? Having the same P0471 on my 2006 corolla with only 55k miles thanks
The tsb number is TC008-04
@@operationoverhaulthank you so much!
@@bh5697 your welcome
What is the torque for the transmission pan and filter? In ft pounds
Specs call for 4 ft lbs.

It is a common code on these and those. What all have you tried?

Do you have a part # of the solenoid?
35250-12030 is the factory part number. This is the one I would use and it was not much more expensive than the aftermarket one.
Did this eliminate the code?

Is that same location on a 2003 toyota camry 2.4l SE 16 valve
When I looked it up, it was in the same location.
in the 2003 camry 2.4 it is in a different location
Can this bad solenoid make the transmission not to respond quick early in the morning when ever the engine is cold?
It can but I would check the fluids viscosity because if it is to thick it can do that as well
Can't find anyone in East TN that knows anything about this, I need mine fixed but can't do it myself
If i were closer I would try to help. I do not know anyone that lives in that area. Have you tridela local shop?
