"I always suspected they [Gotham and Hikaru] are aliens anyway because they never sleep" lol. Igor has such a brilliant, dry wit that is so subtle I bet most viewers don't even catch it.

An aggressive and unsound opening for White. While it can be effective in blitz or bullet games due to its surprise value and tactical traps, it is not recommended for serious play as Black can refute it with accurate defense.
I played this regularly 30 years ago on FICS. Somebody finally gave it a name. I invented it (or independently discovered it). Ultimately, I found a more sound way of playing against Caro and eventually moved to 1.d4.
@@gehrmansparrow3563 everybody was playing these kinds of sacs against the Caro in the 90s after Kasparov lost to Deep Blue with a similar opening sac. One of the most famous games in the history of chess.
I watch a lot of your videos Thank you for the great content! I wish you didn't always go from the middle position and you showed the opening moves again and again even if it was quick it would help me Remember them
10:48 uh what if the knight on D5 goes to e3? Edit: oh i didn't see the bishop😂 Edit again: can you still play alien if black plays e6? Or king's indian or anything that's not carocan?
Everyone all you need to do is look what stockfish say I have stockfish 16 and he gives 3 plus for black don’t know why everyone find it that hard just look at stockfish
It's interesting the video of gotham is suggesting to defend the D4 pawn with c3 so it's different that here it isn't a problem. Could you tell me if the differents of move order how does affect the effectivity of the opening?
They should have called it "the 1200 ELO Gambit". I'd be more than happy if a GM would play this "gambit" against me. Why would you blunder your knight on f7 and hope that the opponent will play bad after being up a knight?
Oof heard a noob ask about this at my chess club: for the love of god don’t play this: never give free material without a calculated follow up when developing a piece in coordinated fashion is an alternative option
After king takes, black is winning almost every time unless game is both blitz and below 1500 elo, if only one of those things is true good freaking luck to white

well done.
thanks to witty alien for inventing this brilliant opening👽.
Nothing in chess is invented, they definitely popularized it again though
We did it!!! And Max is right ❤ Even tho I never knew about this move i just played 40k games last year and it was accidental
Why your ass got fired up bruh cool down @@MyBiPolarBearMax
The attention this opening gets is well deserved!
👽Cool, fun video! Love the graphics! Keep it coming.
I’ve been doing this for a while, now I have a real strategy. Thank you sir!
Great teacher 👏 I have learned so much from you !! Thank you ❤

You teach so well. Not sure if you do private lessons, but k would be interested
12:55 what do u think about playing g6 or g5 giving the king a dark square to hide on
Amazing , a very tricky line
Thank you sir. 💪💪💪
Brilliant!!!!

Alien gambit is Really tricky so many traps and weakness just by a knight sacrifice
Thanks to the alien gambit refutation, it is demonstrated that caro-kann defence is just a deferred sicilian
Brillianttttttt!!!!!
Please learn endgame too. Thanks 🙏
Sweeet, thank you 🎉
Witty Alien popularized this opening and streams it regularly.
Push c5 break center and trade pieces and punish alien
Thanks for the informative video. I am wondering if most of this can be avoided by simply playing 5... c5 instead of advancing the h-pawn.
10:48 uh what if the knight on D5 goes to e3?

Von Henning Shara gambit explanation please..
How do you play against 4. knight d7?
Can you make a video on how to punish players that trade immediately for no reason
The Red Defense that existed 200 million years got me laughing!🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
*rat defense
What is the name of the defense against this I didn’t hear
cool!
This is basically just a regular dubious gambit but without book moves
Boo spam the brilliant emote!
Nakamura an alien because he never sleeps. Hilarious.
man that reason why they are aliens got me. .
Don't booo spam the brilliant emote 🗣️
I felt like Hikaru was laughing at me personally lol, I thought Bishop to e6 was good
what if the king is go to e8 after knight e5?
after knight g5 what is my opponent play queend5
Use tactics 😂
elo ?
@@c4dclashersgaming994 elo for the person playing Qd5? I'd guess 420 blitz.
C4 to answer Qd5? Or Nf3? Qd5 doesn't threaten anything.
@@abcsorensen i just asking u a question what's your elo
Aliens were real ?😮
What if the Black used the bishop to protect that square instead of playing H6?
DONT BOoo❤
Alieeeeeeeennnnnn
leta go
Alien Gambit: so hot right now 💅
A refutation…. for the refutation…. 😂

Now to play about 50000 games before someone finally plays the caro
