    Really well played.
The great public usually love attackers, who doesn't?
But there is a poetic beauty in keep the calm, dodge all the threats, block all the attacks, then suddenly counter-play and mate.
That Queen sacrifice REALLY looked like a Judo tactics, using the violence of the attacker to finish him off all of a sudden.
    Impressive composture and timing.

Its not an Alien gambit and its not new!
I have played this opening for over 20 years including many correspondence games!
Also beginning of December 2023 I did beat 2 CMs in over the board games with this. Both games happened in Latvian team championship, one in Rapid another in blitz.
Rapid game was also published on Facebook by tournament arbiter.
Additional info - even your opponent has stolen my idea - he missed to demonstrate to you even the main strategic idea why I am playing the opening this way and why the piece is scarified.
Additionally - the streamer whom you mentioned also does not know how to contribute the author because obviously by his age he can't be an author to this.
I first invented this sacrifice in late 199ties in my correspondence games and used it to trick opponents who used computers because engines of that time could not correctly asses long term positional plans that white have here.
I still play it in blitz and rapid games, but as I am not playing this in correspondence anymore - I stopped hiding it and for about last 3-4 years I play it on lichess and other online platforms often - so it got popular and got stolen and named Alien gambit - I am not alien - I am Vairis from Latvia and I play it for over 20 years!

I play the caro kann a lot and have faced this opening numerous times but had no idea it was a meme opening. Thank you for this video! Imma go check out how I've done against it...

Wow great game, so many tricks and traps by your opponent. Very interesting one and such a nice mat too!

As a parttime carokann player, people have been playing this exactly with these lines and ideas for ages on constant basis in online chess. Obviously, highly dubious knight sacking is first playful instinct any chess player has, and in blitz 50% in two knights variation go for this. Any next move is pretty much only logical move.

Eric: "I don't usually play the Caro Kann..."
Me: "I don't neither; because I love fun and want to enjoy chess."

This is funny the repertoire I bought also covers this line. Essentially black should play e6 and drop the king back to g8 when white goes Ne5 and Bc4. Black is pretty cozy and if white goes d4 then the usual plan of undermining it with c5 is pretty strong

Fantastic recovery for an opening you have never seen. This Alien must have come from Alpha Centauri.

Its funny because you play the alien gambit after the two nights, instead of d4. An instrucional video after this variation( it is slightly different then the original alien gambit), would be very helpfull

The Alien Gambit may be unsound, but that's okay, because the Caro-Kann is unsound in the first place.

Welcome to the wonderful world of caro-kann, where if black doesn't know opening theory, then black is lost and if white doesn't know opening theory, they lose in the endgame (or sometimes to a vicious kingside attack). Funnily enough falling for all those traps has made me study caro and made me a nightmare for every e4 player. People at the club just don't want to play e4 against me anymore.
