The charizard vs surf sums up what i saw in sword/shield.
In the old gameboy gold/silver your pokemon could survive a super effective hit or two, same for enemies.

To be fair pokemon general are mystical and even if they lack the surroundings they can generate their elements at will. But i agree anything names double that proceeds to inflict more than two attacks should be called fury like fury swipes.

I don't think people understand Doubleslap. The "double" doesn't mean 2 times or the amount of slaps past 2, it means that the actual full attack is 2 slaps. After 2 slaps, that is one full hit, then it keeps going.
