Presumed dead offscreen: Jolteon, Flareon, Totodile, Espeon, Umbreon, Treecko, Combusken, Chesnaught, Floragato, Fuecoco Never even shown: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Cyndaquil, Quilava, Monferno, Snivy, Servine, Froakie, Sylveon, Dartrix, Torracat, Popplio, Crocalor, Quaxly. MVP: Easily Swampert, with 18 confirmed kills *at minimum*, and presumably most (if not ALL) of the offscreen ones too, considering the sheer amount of ghosts flying out of that chasm after the tsunami. The only one who appeared alive after the tsunami but still died offscreen was Chesnaught, so my best guess is that he got buried by a stray mud wave or something. Underdog: Sobble. Aside from Pikachu and Eevee (who were safe in the sky until the very end), Sobble was the only non-fully-evolved Pokemon to make it past the halfway point (surviving the nuke, both earthquakes, the tsunami, AND the barrage of mud waves flying everywhere). On top of that, he didn't stop there, ultimately reaching the top 5, and even managing to kill the fully evolved Cinderace along the way.
Swampert causing an earthquake, getting counter-earthquaked, and proceeding to hit the island with a tsunami was really hilarious. Also my man deserves some recognition, he was fighting the fire starters alone, if it wasn’t for rilaboom he may have won (he was x4 strong to all the remaining pokes, being also inmune to pikachu’s electric attacks)
Totally agree, also why the hell did rillaboom just appear like that? It literally fell 100 metres into the ground on fire without its drums and all of a sudden it just comes back for a Seth Rogan joke? Poor chesnaught, the man was so peaceful and avenged his ally only to get outbarred by a wannabe football player and outlasted by the monkeym swampert should've won
@@rabbidthorI believe it has something to do with Rilla's ability. When he grabs Swampert, we can see grass growing on the ground, meaning that he has Grassy Surge. What are the properties of Grassy Terrain? Healing the grounded pokemons and halving the damage of moves such as *Earthquake*, so it kinda makes sense that he would be able to survive that (not sure how he survived the heat explosion before falling instead of straight up burning like the others, but whatever)
@@rabbidthor Yeah, props to Terminal Montage for making the video bc it was amazing as always, but Blaziken is already kinda overrated tbh. Seeing them win just wasn’t as surprising as the other victories in the Pokémon Battle Royales.
@@faeralfemme I mean, Naganadel, Riolu, Arceus/Ultra Necrozma, were any of those winning their matches really surprising? Not to mention Mega Rayquaza, the most obvious winner in the entire series.
Speaking of which, when did he die? I don’t ever remember seeing him actually get KO’ed… Edit: Nevermind. At 6:06, we can see Cinderace standing on his corpse.
To be honest, it should've been Chesnaught, Chesnaught just going in to backstab or atleast use a grass type move to murder Swampert and then obliterated or incinerated by Charizard and blaziken.
I love the detail of Grovyle being the character from Mystery Dungeon and just avoiding this whole case by literally getting away from the timeline with a Time Gear. I love Mystery Dungeon, and Explores of Sky is my favorite of the spin-off series.
17 passives from items, 999 in all stats and auto rez from reviver seeds, also his moves are just better, yeah he would beat them all on his own if he didn't mercifully leave Mystery Dungeon Power Scaling is Wild if you max a character out.
Mad respect to Swampert, he may not have won but he had by far the largest kill count in any Pokémon Battle Royale only arguably being outdone by Arceus. What a legend
It looks like Pikachu realized at the end there that Blaiziken just wouldn't give up - bro saved Jeremy from having to animate another hour of the two going all out
@@sageofthesixpaths8477 welp to be fair, he did won as being 1 of 10 pokemons have a chance to win the battle royale because a battle royale can have lots of outcomes, blaziken won because he has the highest chance to win.
It’s actually been there since XY, it’s just more likely to happen in let’s go since the game is designed to have you “bond” with pikachu more than any other game
My favorite moments: - Pikachu surviving the initial drop. 'He finally has a chance!', I thought to myself. From OOB in 2 scenarios to 2nd place is quite the upset! - Inceneroar's Throat Chop to Smash Back Throw combo against Primarina. The timing of it all was disrespectful and hilarious! - The extended 3-way showdown of Samurott, Infernape, and Decidueye. Samurott got his vengeance, while Decidueye clearly didn't learn his lesson the first time. - Swampert throughout the whole fight. Especially when holding its ground against the remaining Fire types.
Let’s see we had the Mellow Grass bois, the fire lads, swampert and sobble, delphox joined the grass bois, The hisuian typhlosion and dead Pokémon alliance even
To be honest, if it wasn’t for Rillaboom just popping out of nowhere he would have not only have probably defeat the fire-type squad, he probably would have beat pikachu since it’s ground and ground is immune to electric attacks
It would've been really funny if Pikachu actually beat Blaziken in the final battle, just for a little Snivy to pop out of nowhere and annihilate the seemingly overpowered Pikachu
Also here's another scenario, what if swampert got blaziken and incinerator from behind? If that happened he might've won, here's how, so blaziken and incineroar are gone so emboar and skeledrige die next as they can't jump or fly, skeledrige having 4 legs and emboar being too heavy. Sobble would do the funny thing again and then it's just charizard and Pikachu which I'm sure he can take care of
@@rabbidthor the only reason swampert lost is because that damn gorilla had to come back. It would obliterate everyone there if it hadn't been attacked by rilaboom
As someone whose favorite Pokémon is Swampert I absolutely love his portrayal here, overwhelming strong compared to most starter Pokémon but folds to any grass type, very accurate
Technically speaking there were 4 obliterators. Swampert, Torterra, Typhlosion, and Charizard. Without Charizard up-throwing Typhlosion, that huge explosion would’ve never happened. A big bang, if you will.

Growing up with the cheesiness of Pokémon, seeing Pikachu hold his ground against Blaziken with the power of friendship was paradoxically hype. I was genuinely sad when I saw him go down. You did good, bud.
Honestly, I can't believe the Partner Pikachu didn't win (fueled by the power of how bullshit both the partner pokemon mechanics and Ash's Pikachu are in general), especially since it could have pulled out Splishy Splash as a super-effective move with paralyze chance, or Floaty Fall for the same but with a flinch chance. Being effectively immortal combined with super effective damage and both the paralyze and flinch chances (and halved speed on blaziken) would have been enough I'd have thought.
@@RazielSoulshadow Yeah, it would've been... If it weren't for the fact Lockstin and TerminalMontage also consider the card games in the final placements, and for Let's Go Partner Pikachu and Blaziken... Yeah Blaziken is superior in the Card Games.

Presumed dead offscreen: Jolteon, Flareon, Totodile, Espeon, Umbreon, Treecko, Combusken, Chesnaught, Floragato, Fuecoco
Never even shown: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Cyndaquil, Quilava, Monferno, Snivy, Servine, Froakie, Sylveon, Dartrix, Torracat, Popplio, Crocalor, Quaxly.

I really thought he was gonna win this. That God Ex Machina rilaboom appearance was a huge turn down
@@rabbidthorI believe it has something to do with Rilla's ability.
