Thank you. This is very helpful. The hardest part for me is getting the top lip pulled back enough to show the teeth more fully. Would love tips on that.
Good day Sir. I had bells palsy then hemifacial spasms as it's complication. Sir,.kindly advice to get recover from Hemifacial spasms. Thank you and more power.
Glad you fixed the sound......well over a year, been stretching the mouth area consistently, still limited results. Any other options to focus on this muscle? Electrical stimulation a possibility at this point to get it flexing? Thanks
No, definitely no stimulation. Have you had your condition assessed by anyone? there might be specific part of your face that are still tight(not necessarily the mouth), that are making mouth movement difficult. During paralyzed phase of Bell's palsy, many muscles get tight together, with areas of what we called fibrosis. These fibrotic area can persist and prevent normal movement. Do you have synkinesis?
Hello! I have the opposite problem: the lower lip on the affected side droops down. I experienced facial paralysis a year and a half ago. I carried out treatment, but, unfortunately, the results were not very good. It feels like my muscles on the affected side have atrophied. Could you recommend something in my case? I watch your videos carefully, but have not yet found the information I need.
Cannot recommend anything specific without assessing your face. Is your lip drooping because of tighness in chin/ along lower jaw bone… or because you might have never regain full nerve healing in that area? What did your “treatment” consisted of?
As soon as my nerves began to recover, I did a lot of exercises, which led to the fact that the healthy side is now hypertonic and the affected side remains weak. The lower lip droops and the upper lip, on the contrary, curls up. Tomorrow I'm going to see a neurologist and I hope he will help me figure it out. Anyway: thank you very much for your videos! They are very helpful. Have a good day! @@ButheauPhysiotherapy
Hello, recently I have noted that whenever I yawn there is a downward pull on the corner of the mouth. Will regular massage aid in reversal of the abnormality?
Without seeing it in person, I can only make a guess. Your depressor angle oris could likely be tight and is preventing normal excursion of your lips. Also, your platysma, muscles in neck could be involved. Stretching this muscles is where I would start
Thanks Doc ,God bless your household 🙏, your video is very very effective on me for a week now I'm improving because there is a lot of pain on my working face exercise and I'm seeing the result , thanks so much sir
Sir please reply i am very dipressed can you after one week my recovery start on eyebrow but after some recovery on eyebrow recovery was stopped and now 2 months are done i am on anti-inflammatory madicine and talking some vitamin tablet but recovery was stopped what is the reason
Bell's palsy can heal slowly. You mention anti-inflammatory ( do you mean steroids?). Massaging and stretching around eyebrow/forehead/eyelid is likely what needs to happen. But I can't tell you more since you are not my patient and have not assessed your condition.
I should add that if you are ten weeks in and no change, you need to go to an otolaryngologist. You might have been misdiagnosed and might need more meds.
I should correct that they help with the symptoms and effect of synkinesis, not preventing synkinesis. Synkinesis cannot be prevented...It is due to the way the nerve heals.

Very informative video. I have seen many videos but no one discussed this. I got Ramsey hunt in june. I have very little movement in my cheek and nose area. No lips and brow movement. Some one suggested use Tens machine. Is it a good idea?
no it is not. First, TENS is used for pain only, not muscle stimulation/contraction, so that won't help getting movement. Second, you should not use electrical simulation to address paralysis from Bell's palsy. Instead, targeted massage, stretching, and when appropriate neuromuscular reeducation with slow, controlled movement. all the latest research does n to recommend the use of electrical stimulation in recovering from Bell's palsy / RSH/ ZSH/Lyme disease/acute facial paralysis

hello me before easy paralysis I had neck pain for 4 months I still have doular however I am well cured 100% but the pain it comes back sometimes you have unbearable pain the pain in 2 weeks. Sometimes it happens a little. is it normal ?
Hello. I was on steroids for 10 days and there was marked improvement in my eye closing and even facial expressions however, a day after finishing my dosage the improvement regressed back to how it was on my diagnosis. The doctor prescribed 2 weeks of further steroid use but am not certain if the same thing will happen after finishing my current dosage. What is your advice on this and thank you so much for your videos, they have been of great help.
Some cases of BP are mor serious are more serious and it really takes several rounds of steroids to decrease facial nerve inflammation. I would certainly follow what your doctor prescribed. It does not mean you will have the same symptoms when you taper down after second round.
This is my second time of suffering this paralysis. I'm tired I lost my confidence. My smile didn't back again. Before, my right face is damage. I don't have a blanket answer for you as everybody's presentation is different. You need to be assessed fully in facial therapy to figure this out.

Can bellspalsy affect your neck?
Yes, the facial nerve controls the platysma, big wide muscles covering your neck. It is a common complaint to have stiffness/tightness in the neck.
