Mng physiotherapy doctor is doing stimulation and evng dr is doing facial massages for me i am having facial palsy for past 1 month still i need to continue the stimulation and facial massages until my full recovery or can i stop physiotherapy and do facial massages at home pls answer this question
I got bells palsy in 2019 without doing physiotherapy i am cured 100 percent but later after that 2024 i got facial palsy but this time it is taking more time its been 75 percent is cured after 1 month but my smile is taking too much time my upper lip is not raising to show full teeth on left side ,my left nostril is coming down compare to right side ,i cant able to lift my nose muscle it is very hard
good day doctor, excuse me I have 1 year and 4 months with my paralysis and I have a crooked smile, I cannot raise my upper and lower lip very much and I cannot move my eyebrow much, I only have 70% recovery, could I improve even more with massages despite the long time I have? Or does a person with this weather stay like this?
It is still possible to improve. Massage , targeted stretching and neuromuscular reeducation to relearn correct movement and isolate a particular muscles movement is what treatment for your presentation is. Finding out what muscles are overworking and are tight is the key and if you have synkinesis, that also need to be assessed. This is what I do with my patient. Each treatment is tailored to that particular patient and there is no quick fix that exists. And you will need help from a trained facial physiotherapist to do that.
I wish you was in the UK. I don't think there are any Dr's here with this much knowledge on facial muscles, bells palsy and synkinesis.
God bless you.
Thank you for your kind words. There are actually some facial specialist therapist in the UK. Some of the best in the world.

Thank you so much. This is exactly where i am stuck after 7 months.
Facial palsy is completely curable how many days it takes for the full recovery?
Yes... ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 I am listening Doc!!!
You are the most helpful physio . Thank you . I am experiencing acute earache and headaches with BP . What is that about ?
I would recheck with a doctor, an otolaryngologist... you might need different meds, further imaging for differential diagnosis
Is facial palsy is completely cured?
thank you.
Thank you so much sir. After the exercise i could feel some pulling forces under my jaw and behind my ear on the affected part . Is that normal??
Hi sir, are these exercises effective for a patient who had bell's palsy done 50 years ago😢
They could be yes. You might need more than that though.
