I have a factor B2, he sent extra magnets to increase the detent on that one. I did that change out and it is a bit stiffer though its not dramatic. I love that Bryan continues to innovate, improve, and push the boundaries of creativity in his knives. This thing is beautiful. Love that blade cutout, how it lines up with the stripes, the fat to thin stripe layout, pivot detail, just freaking incredible.
Pre-ordered mine in the beginning of April.. ETA is August.. I'm going crazy with anticipation.. lol. I have to watch videos like this to give me a little dose of it. I'm a knife junkie 😢
Man this guy is just on a whole different level. Doing things and making knives that look and function unlike anything anyone else is doing, or has ever done. We don’t see true pocket knife innovation very often. Stuff like this is why I’m still a premium knife enthusiast. The Factor literally brought me back, I was pretty much 100% back to guns when it came around and reminded me why I love folding knives.
So batch 2 is available for preorder and it looks like theres a 14c28n/g10 stormtrooper version for 200 less than the premium mats version... Always thought 370 was a bit steep for a knife you dont get for 7 months but 170... Kind of considering it.
I want to see him make a version two using opposing magnets instead of a spring to power the lock. That would be really cool and go back to his all magnetic interface days.
I wish mr winters would tell the OEM to up the production of the factor bc its a sob trying to get one, I guess its not his fault that I'm broke every time the preorder is available lol
I have a question, why on earth is S45vn barely being used! Spyderco uses it more the the big 3 (Benchmade,Spyderco,& Kershaw) why?? Even more then over seas companies. Any ideas why??
Oh brother! Just hearing the excitement in your voice, I can tell you were having a blast checking this thing out. This looks it’s going to be an amazing edc to pick up. I will be interested on a more in depth comparison between this one and the Factor back and forth. Just a video idea and I feel like a lot of us are very interested.
The cutout looks like a mini representation of the knife lol Unfortunately the light detent makes it a no go for me. Can’t wait to get my factor v3 tho
If you pre-ordered a FACTOR B3 in May/June, the knives are now in assembly and things are going smooth! Per the product description, estimated time of production on the B3's is 6-8 months, which puts delivery at somewhere between December - late January or early February.
I want a winter blades co knife really badly but I won't buy one until they get away from m390. Not overly interested in magnacut neither but boy my interest was piqued when you said s90v!!!! If they do them in s90v I'm 100% buying one!
S90v would dependent on if they are using a high temper or low temper and the hardness. Bestech would probably be nothing amazing as they are amateurs.
I'd argue the stealth lock is different from the super lock and shark lock. The shark lock however is clearly a copy of the super lock. For patenting it and not giving any credit, Demko will never get my business.
That looks insane I need to get my hands on a winterblade co. knife I'm gonna need to start saving lol. I am just curious and this has nothing to do with the Severn or factor but does anyone know anything about Taylor/seto customs
The SEVERNS are still being priced out for production - there's no pricing listed yet. I can safely say that most configurations should be far less than $450 though. Cheers! :)
@@winterbladeco I was looking at the Factor 3 for $395-445. Interesting that you're going to sell the larger one in this video for $450. Good luck with it. :)
Lol, laser etching will do nothing to a temper… do you know how instant a laser etch is??? The thermal mass of that knife will keep it aok. 62 is a great hrc for a blade This thin
Love your reviews, but your use of the term detent is not correct. A liner lock with ball and detent hole is correct but other locks with friction hold is not. Love you man
A detent is defined as a catch in a mechanism that prevents motion until released. If a "friction hold" is designed into the locking mechanism to prevent the blade from opening, then it is a detent
Any point of higher friction that performs the same function of a ball detent could fairly be called a detent, at least to me 😁 just not a ball detent. Unless, it is a ball... like the Spydie ball lock... which technically works with the same friction slip principle as a lockbar ball detent. It's just in a different setup and not as crisp due to the ball being spring loaded and the cornered interface being less crisp.
@NeevesKnives seems they're overhead is stretched and should catch up on current production. Not be a CRK and have 2-4 year lead time. Don't get me wrong, I thing their factor is a great knife. But if your lead times are that atrocious, maybe focus decreasing lead time before splitting production on a new project
I'd be more interested in maintained QC than decreased lead time, and I'd hope Winterbladeco is too. I don't really get all the impatience, especially if you're told how long it'll probably be in the first place. Set it and forget it, it's just an non-essential product.

Impressive. Thanks for the review, Jerad. I liked the fact that you disassembled it to show the mechanics behind this wonderful knife.
Super cool to me . I like how it has the extra spine option .
Sharklock axislock combination. A dream coming true.
That blade looks SHARP! Love that it matches the pocket clip. The colors are great as well!
Man the factor just sounds so sick. That _tinngg_ is great.

Do you think you could just weld a nub on the back of the ram lock to create a spine lock on it too?
I don't have a winter blade yet. I think I'm getting in on this 1. 🔥🤘
Usually he requires the full payment upfront for preorders.
This is now my dream knife I want it so bad
i believe kizer is dropping something with a similar locking mechanism for my budget limited friends. no magnets tho:(

Love the look. Just a bit out of my price range. The factor was worth it though. This seems like an axis lock with a magnet somewhere?

Super dope everything from winter blade co is
I would love to have anything from Winterbladeco, they are just way out of my price range. They are fn awesome. Maybe someday.

Be nice to have received the B3 pre order before having to decide on this one.
Cannot wait to get mine

So it's like what CJRB tried to do with the recoil lock. Which is unfortunately made of slippery cast aluminum. This looks much better.
Bang! Reaction 🎉
I like that a lot
The only thing that sucks is you get to play with it now. I have to wait 6 months to get one ! I can’t stand the waiting.
Hey I bought a Factor B3 in the last batch. I saw the thing saying end of the year, but it's November already. Are people getting theirs yet?

I'd forgotten the up to 8 months part. Thank you!
Last email said we should receive them by end of January 2024.
We finally got a "that's what she said"
How much??
Oh no it doesnt have the *ting*!
I heard it at 2:07
@@DersNoNemI heard it there too, but it’s much crispy on the Factor it sounds like
When he goes on about the forms of deployment the “ting” is all over the place. But, yeah it’s crispier on the factor for sure
Sigh, I love the look of the Factor without thumb studs...that massive wart on one side of the Severn is really unfortunate.
Pretty sure the thumbstud is removable.
Easily removable but you'll have the little hole there.
Love it.! Love it! We're excited now..!
Needs stronger magnets
This is not a magnet knife at all. But, it could be interesting if he were to incorporate a little magnet power in the detent...
Badass
Is this gonna be on your broker site?
what does that mean?
@@NeevesKnives sorry, I mean on the new knife sales website you have going on now.
Awesome looking and nice action.
When I pre-ordered the Maroge I had to pay 100% upfront to pre-order and it took nine months to arrive
it's like a crossbar lock not the shark lock the bar is what locks it but you can unlock two ways unlike a normal crossbar lock.

I cant wait! He made one in stormtrooper!!!
Wow, it’s really interesting that they abandon the whole magnet idea
Definitely not abandoning magnetics :D Cheers!
How much is the knife ?
so is this one not using magnets at all, just a cool new locking mechanism?
That’s what she said. 😂😂😂
I love winter blade con I need that thing hm for pre order?
You can put your own magnets in for a better detent.
That is really cool.

love LOVE the bacon...
Tape some lines in a blade and dip it in acid = bacon. In this case its just some laser lines. Same thing.
yea...and? @@Quagmire925
@@paullmight42was just a suggestion how to recreate the same bacon look you love LOVE!
Lasers heat the blade and hurt the temper. This is art fidget knife with poor performance m390

Yeah its not worth that much. Thats a rip off for what you actually get.
Jeez...

Max 60rc m390 or max 62rc magnacut is not good. The laser etch to the blade will reduce the temper also.

For a 135 dollars it better be cool! Lol

Why come out with new shit that has a 8-10 month lead time just with the B3 line?
